The Shops at La Cantera in San Antonio is one of the best shopping centers in the area, and there…read moreis a ton of great shopping to do here, from high fashion to more affordable options. There is also a great Lego store, Barnes and Noble, and plenty of good food choices. The worst part of La Cantera is that half of the people who go here seem like they are on their first week on Earth and do not know what they are doing. I love people who walk four in a row and block entire walkways, or people who stop randomly in the middle of the path to look at something. You make my life so miserable. Parking is also pretty insane if you are trying to park up close, but if you have patience, anything is possible. Be careful of the reckless drivers who have no courtesy for anything but themselves. The layout of the mall is pretty nice. Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom Rack have some higher price tag shops surrounding them, while Dillard's and Macy's have more affordable stores nearby. Across the street from the main hub is additional shopping with Zara, J.Crew, J.Jill, Free People, H&M, and most of the dining options, including Perry's, Grimaldi's, Yard House, Palenque Grill, Cheesecake Factory, and more. When the weather is nice and it is not scorching hot, The Shops are a great place to visit in San Antonio. Even when it is hot, there is plenty of shade and air conditioning to help make it less miserable. RIYL: Shopping around some of the most unaware people to ever exist.

Parking was limited due to the valet parking lot. The restroom near Build-a-Bear smelled like a landfill. Management/Owners put more energy in a valet parking lot than the restroom. This place has stores for all shoppers (luxury end and budget friendly).

I came in for a $10 battery replacement on my Pokemon Emerald GBA game, had it since 2007…read moreChristmas. I never got the guys name but he took it upon himself to try and solder the battery, as he finished he dropped it onto the ground and while I was walking out, I noticed it had came undone from the soldering points. He took it back into where the solder is at and re-did it again, only for him to drop it once more. He tested it on the store's own Gameboy Advance SP tester and the Nintendo trademark looked very distorted and it would freeze, I tried on my own GBA and same issue, he frantically tried cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol and Q-Tips. He admitted that he wasn't as good at soldering but that he knew how to do it, evidently not. I was then referred to their store in Selma to find their store manager, RJ. RJ tried cleaning it with more product, didn't have a store tester for Pokemon Emerald so I used my own Gameboy Advance, still wouldn't play properly. I was shown how bad the solder job was, there was solder haphazardly placed on the board and dots of it on the ROM chips pins. I was offered store credit at first, which I objected, then was offered half store credit and half cash, which I also rejected. RJ had to make multiple calls to his District Manager and even once told me that they're not liable for any damage of the battery as stated on the receipt and a signature I was required to sign, only I never got a receipt or signed anything. The only thing that could make this right was if I was given another copy of Emerald or $300 cash. I ended up walking out with $300 cash instead of my copy of Emerald which had sentimental value. Overall, do not bring any of your items for a battery replacement as they're very inept, what should have been $10, ended up costing me a lot more. TLDR: Game Over Videogames destroys my copy of Pokemon Emerald, tries to claim no liability, then try to give me store credit, ends up taking my Emerald and handing me $300. Do NOT trust these guys with your games.

This dollar general like most is in need of help and the right training. They are a big company and…read moreshould not struggle with things that should be trained. We recently bought curtain rods and got the wrong ones. We had the digital receipt (the only receipt ). When we went to return the items the mgr on duty Monica said that she is not allowed to accept a digital receipt. Even though that is proof a payment she said she needed a paper receipt even though one wasn't issued. She also called the store manager and he also said that he said not to give a refund. These things need to be day one training along with customer service. When we said that Corp needed to be called for this problem she said "Go ahead they know who I am already!" Ooooooh heck nah. Just be warned. Good luck if you want to come here.

There were about 5 people ahead of me. The man in front of me was visibly annoyed at the fact we all had to wait. So when it was his turn he tried giving her a hard time about how she should hire help. To what she replied beautifully. The truth was workers want to work but there is no budget to pay them with. And it's how a lot of companies are running their business to the growing because of over worked and underpaid workers. Me and my partner thanked her for showing up tI work and doing a great job. The man left annoyed and mad we stood up for her. And also the lady behind us also expresses her gratitude. Sometimes we as people forget that we are all human and just trying to make it. No need to be rude. I said all this to say. Practice patience and gratitude. And give the employees that show up some grace. The bad reviews just cus you had to wait are crazy to me. Anyway. Carry on.

About 10 years ago Alamo Ranch was just a big empty field and now it's one of the hottest shopping centers. It has expanded like crazy which is great but also ehh when it comes to traffic. It starts off small with just a few stores and is now packed with all types of stores and restaurants! The shopping area is full of different stores such as Target, Jcpennys, Best Buy, Lowes, Bath and Body, Old Navy, James Avery, 5 Below, Kirklands, Childrens Place, Dicks sporting goods and many more awesome stores! They have just about everything in this shopping center! It's very well kept and clean. Never see tagging or dirty sidewalks and everyone is always friendly! Great area to do your shopping and have a bite to eat. They also have a Starbucks, Orange Leaf, Baskin Robbins, Las Palapas, Free Birds, Olive Garden, and many other places to grab something delicious! If you haven't been to Alamo Ranch or are visiting from out of town I highly suggest stopping here!

I am very busy as I work I healthcare, so I purchased the item online, which was a store pick up. After work I came to the store, they notified me they saw my purchase but that they "could not let me take the merchandise" because their system said it was cancelled, even though I showed my phone and spam stating it had not and my bank account showing it came out. However, after over 20 minutes of the assistant manager on the phone trying to figure it out, I asked if I could take the mirror as I had to get back to work. The manager said "no I have to protect the merchandise" in a loud belittling tone. I was furious at this point and left. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to go here to save on shipping. Then 1 hr later the manager called and said there "had been a glitch" and it was indeed their fault and that I could come and pick it up! They were not even willing to ship it for free or give me a discount after all of this!!!! POOR Customer service and I hope he is fired!!!!!!!!
