There is also a great Lego store, Barnes and Noble, and plenty of good food choices. The worst part of La Cantera is that half of the people who go here seem like they are on their first week on Earth and do not know what they are doing. I love people who walk four in a row and block entire walkways, or people who stop randomly in the middle of the path to look at something. You make my life so miserable. Parking is also pretty insane if you are trying to park up close, but if you have patience, anything is possible. Be careful of the reckless drivers who have no courtesy for anything but themselves. The layout of the mall is pretty nice. Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom Rack have some higher price tag shops surrounding them, while Dillard's and Macy's have more affordable stores nearby. Across the street from the main hub is additional shopping with Zara, J.Crew, J.Jill, Free People, H&M, and most of the dining options, including Perry's, Grimaldi's, Yard House, Palenque Grill, Cheesecake Factory, and more. When the weather is nice and it is not scorching hot, The Shops are a great place to visit in San Antonio. There's a variety of dining options, from Zoe's to Stoneworks and Sushi Zushi! They have high end shopping and all kinds of great things that you can always use around the home. Parking is easy, and there's plenty of ingress/egress points along Basse and Broadway, and even the back streets. I am happy with the fact that they have some outdoor amenities that aren't required for a shopping center, but are nice additions. They have outdoor benches with beautiful landscaping. There's an outdoor fountain (that I've never seen full of water) with some benches to watch people getting their taxes filed. There's 24 hour security around here, they keep a good eye over what's going on around here, so I feel safe. I wish that they had more bike parking.

Strand by me! Strand in the place where you are!…read more This is a cool shopping center located right off the corner of I-10 and Huebner. It's got a huge monument sign out in the ample parking lot. I've always felt safe here. The parking lot is well lit, and there's a nice sidewalk that takes customers from one establishment to the next. Some of the places even have spots outdoors to enjoy the weather on the wide sidewalks. The center has a Flying Saucer anchoring at one end, and a movie theater next door. There's a wide array of businesses here, usually with few vacancies. There's lots of car dealerships within a stone's throw from this spot. Accessing this spot isn't quite as easy as if it were right on the hard corner of Huebner and I-10, but it's accessible by any road that comes off of that intersection. There's plenty of ways to get in and out of this shopping center. The place is always picked up and litter free which is pretty cool!

This is located at Huebner Oaks Shopping Center in San Antonio, around the back in the plaza itself, and this section is known as The Strand and is separate from the traditional Huebner outdoor in-the-round strop mall. This one is like Huebner, which is a very posh and enjoyable shopping center. I like to come here whenever I can because it has good memories and it's extremely well done. Barbie loves it here too and looks great here, but it can be a little bit difficult to walk around this mall with heels. Still, it's much better and more enjoyable than most strip malls, and has beautiful distant old memories for me, too.

The streets and parking are not driver friendly. There is a severe lack of signage!!! While The Rim has a lot to offer it is not convenient or easy to get to the shops.

All in all it's a great addition to the Northside of San Antonio and somewhere that we come quite often even though it's so hard to get in and out of and watch out for really bad drivers running you down when you're walking across the parking lot and this was another long sentence amirite. And if pirates shop here, it's Plank North. This is a really elaborate and shiny new Plaza with has a bunch of trendy stores and some cool places to eat, a massive movie theater and all the good stuff. Getting in and out of here is a nightmare and none of the parking spots are under shade which sucks In the heat of San Antonio. Lots of concrete and not very warm. Not very cool. Our favourite thing here is the Savoreaux Patisserie which has good Vietnamese products and Banh Mi sandwiches and Vietnamese iced coffee and the like. We always come here when we are in San Antonio and will continue to do so. It's sad what they did with the beautiful, traditional stuff that was here before they built this mega-complex. 281 & 1604 shopping center! This is a large center located…read moreat the southeast corner of one of the busiest intersections in town, the 281 & 1604 interchange. It's not as busy anymore, now that they built that huge flyover that crosses in front of this center. It's easy to access from either highway, and has lots of chain stores. The center is anchored by HEB, but also has Academy Sports and Marshall's as major tenants. There's always lots of parking with a huge lot. navigating the lot can be a bit frustrating with all the stop signs and speed bumps, and lack of signage. It's a bit dangerous pulling out from here onto the 281 northbound access road, I see accidents through here all the time. Be careful when pulling out on to the frontage road. As far as I can tell, there aren't any local independent stores in here.
