They had a good selection of home furniture and other home goods. Even with jewelry and clothing, there are lots of cosmetic and body care items. Great value and find for your bucks. The issue was at checkout. The line was so long, with several staff members walking around and two even at the counter. One kept messing with the carts instead of helping or looking to see who could help se checkout. I'm unsure how it works with the assignment or who works the register. But the young lady worked that long line with no help for a long time until customers started to complain loudly. Then they opened two more registers, making it three, with the line still long. I didn't catch her name, but kudos to you. She smiled, made small talk, and was polite the entire time, even with customers who were not so happy with the wait.

While I understand the convenience of self check out when it's really busy within the store, I do not understand why the customer reps there wait behind the counter until all the customer self checkouts are full before they open up their register. Literally two cashiers were standing there, chatting away with each other like it was their primary job, while customers with 15 items or more are expected to self checkout, reach around the counter to grab their own bags, and bag their groceries. They waited until the two self-checkout slots were full to open up their register and was able to checkout a customer in half the time it took for me to bag up and pay for my items. Literally had a "register closed" sign while standing behind the register and talking with each other. So this is what they're getting paid for?

The worst part of La Cantera is that half of the people who go here seem like they are on their first week on Earth and do not know what they are doing. I love people who walk four in a row and block entire walkways, or people who stop randomly in the middle of the path to look at something. You make my life so miserable. Parking is also pretty insane if you are trying to park up close, but if you have patience, anything is possible. Be careful of the reckless drivers who have no courtesy for anything but themselves. The layout of the mall is pretty nice. Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom Rack have some higher price tag shops surrounding them, while Dillard's and Macy's have more affordable stores nearby. Across the street from the main hub is additional shopping with Zara, J.Crew, J.Jill, Free People, H&M, and most of the dining options, including Perry's, Grimaldi's, Yard House, Palenque Grill, Cheesecake Factory, and more. When the weather is nice and it is not scorching hot, The Shops are a great place to visit in San Antonio. Looking for a body wash and nearly every single bottle of the brand I was looking at was opened and pumped with soap spilled over the bottles.
