The more important thing: the staff that work here: they're quick, knowledgeable, diligent, and have been incredibly ideal from the get go. The brains of this operation is Maily Vo, the lead pharmacist. She provides outstanding service and is not about wasting anyone's time. This place fills prescriptions within the same hour / day and they're so good about explaining how to utilize the drugs / devices. Despite crowds forming often here (#2), I'm really only here for a few minutes at a time due to their efficient work. The pharm techs that work here are also fabulous and friendly. Also, it's been a breeze scheduling shots here. I managed to score a flu shot as well as a COVID booster after scheduling everything online. The process went off without a hitch and I would do it again here in a heartbeat. No one likes being sick, but I always look forward to copping some serious drugs from here. He couldn't find my appointment, walked away while I was pulling it up on my phone, made us wait several minutes, then came back only to say it wasn't covered and walked off again. No explanation, no courtesy, no attempt to help. Just "call your insurance." Everyone has busy days, but there's no excuse for treating customers this way. A little professionalism goes a long way, and unfortunately it was completely missing here.

Most of my experiences in the past have been quick interactions with employees who barely make eye contact or seem ready to rush you out the door, but Richard was the complete opposite. I had about $450 worth of photo orders to pick up, including two 20x30 canvases that were ordered online and shipped to the store. I had previously canceled the original canvas order through the 1-800 number after my photographer sent me higher-resolution files, but the original order still made its way through processing. That left me with four canvases to sort through. Richard opened the two we believed were from the newer order to make sure they looked right. When the order numbers didn't seem to match my confirmation email, he didn't hesitate to open the other two and help me compare all four. I honestly couldn't tell which ones had the higher resolution, but he carefully looked them over and pointed out the difference. While helping me, he was also answering the phone and directing other customers to the right department, all without ever making me feel rushed. Most people would have handed me the boxes and left me to figure it out myself, so I genuinely appreciated Richard's patience and willingness to help. These canvases will hang in our home and remind us of our wedding for years to come, and I'm grateful he helped me choose the best ones. Walgreens needs more employees like Richard!
