This cleaners is super fast and very reasonably priced. It's super close to where I'm living at the moment. They do a lot of business with local restaurants and companies so I live that they support our local businesses! read more

Picked up and delivered our laundry at our apartment building. Everything was folded and had zero residual odor. Pretty much met all of our expectations! read more

I am in law enforcement and Band Box has reasonable prices along with having your uniforms ready freshly creased. The staff is friendly dependable and they have a great sense of humor. I would definitely recommend their services. Professional also I'm just glad that the St. Louis City Sheriff did recommend this company. read more

Family owned and the best! They pay attention to detail and have a super fast turnaround.

Really disappointed in these guys. I've been coming here ever since I moved downtown a year and a half ago and have never had any issues with the friendly staff. Today, however, when I walked in, I asked Chris, the guy behind the counter (two feet away) why he wasn't wearing a mask. (It's currently legally required in St. Louis.) He said it was really hot in the back, and I said I agreed it must be, but could he put one on when he came to help a customer at the desk? He said no, and that if I don't like that, I don't need to come back. Okay! Done. I'll find a new dry cleaner. read more

We were visiting St. Louis from out of state and needed a suit cleaned. It was ready as promised and nicely done!

I have been using this small, locally-owned cleaners since moving to St. Louis. I live downtown, so location is everything. I have used Band Box primarily for my suits. It's as easy as taking it in, handing it over and getting a receipt. The prices alone were enough to keep me a long-term customer, but the service is what keeps me coming back. Just this week I rushed downtown from West County to pick up a suit before they closed. As I pulled up, I saw one of the main employees locking the door with his headphones on. As soon as he saw me walking up, he graciously unlocked the shop and handed me over my suit. He never once made me feel like a burden or rushed me out. It was a breath of fresh air. I have yet to be dissapointed. read more

I have never gone anywhere else in the Saint Louis area than Band Box Cleaners. They are cheap and incredibly reliable. A place this amazing could easily charge twice as much for how great of work they do. I've had serious sweat stains on white shirts and food and grease stains on black shirts and they get them back to me good as new! read more

Flew into town for a very important conference and needed a suit pressed from being wrinkled in the flight. Band Box Cleaners took me right in, pressed it while I waited, and I was in/out in less than 15 minutes! They were a lifesaver for an out of towner that needed help in a pinch, when they could have easily said they were too busy or to come back the next day to pick it up. If I was local, this would be my go to cleaner, hands down! Don't fool with the chain cleaners; go with Band Box. You won't be disappointed! read more

You had one job! I said medium starch and they went heavy. I can only imagine heavy starch at this place means your shirt is breakable. Most depressing was that the shirts were not pressed flat and neatly. The sleeves were wrinkled and there were weird creases all over the shirt. They probably crammed them into one bag too quickly after they were pressed so they dried funny. read more

Only so-so. I bought two REAL fur stoles from eBay back around October of this year. They are both vintage--from the 1930s, thereabouts--and thus they smelled strongly of a musty old closet.... I had been scouring sites like Yelp and Google trying to find good drycleaners. I heard nothing but bad stuff about the one closest to me--Tip Top on Euclid--so I decided to drive downtown to get my stuff cleaned at Band Box instead in hopes of better service. Firstly, the price--IDK anything about how to dryclean/clean older items like vintage clothing much less fur--so I didn't know what to expect. Maybe it's actually a really difficult thing to do....but that being said, they charged me $20 PER stole for cleaning. That seems a little bit much to me. But then again it is real fur and I wanted it done correctly!! Secondly--they said it would take a week and they'd call me when it was done. Well it ended up taking TWO weeks and then some, and I never got a single phone call about it. Thirdly--when I got my fur back, one of them smelled clean (the fox fur) but the mink fur still STUNK like a closet! Did they even bother to clean it? I almost thought for a second that they just forgot to clean it? But IDK maybe it was just too old to rescue from that stench? By the time I noticed, it was too late to head back, and I didn't have the emotional energy to call them about it. Maybe someone who works there will stumble upon this review and offer to re-clean my mink stole free of charge....hah. Yeah, I doubt it. Either way I was kind of upset. I wanted to like this cleaners place so bad but it was not meant to be.... I have no comment about getting shirts or suits drycleaned here. Maybe I will give them another try some other time..... read more

This cleaners is located downtown right next to the crepes restaurant, Rooster. I live & work downtown and although I don't need frequent dry cleaning, when I bought a dress and spilled all over it the same day, I brought it here to be dry cleaned because of the good reviews. The guy looked at the dress and wasn't terribly comfortable dry cleaning it since there is a lot of beading and sequins around the shoulders/collar, but he agreed to take it but just warned me it may not turn out well. They got the stain out of the dress but once I took it home I realized a couple rows of beading were missing on the back. I took it back to the cleaners and he was more than happy to sew some beads that I brought back onto the dress. It looks great! Best of all, they fixed this at no charge. I really feel they went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. As an FYI, you can get same day or next day service for only $1 additional, which I felt was reasonable. My dress cost $9 to dry clean. I would recommend Band Box to anyone! read more

I love these guys!! Family run business and I am proud to have found them. They have two cute pooches behind the counter and it is fun to see them when I stop in. The owners are always glad to help and serve you with a smile. No misery at this dry-cleaners!!! Good-times!!! Thanks Band-Box Cleaners! I walk out with a smile every time (goofy, I know-but it is true). read more

I hate to give this business 2 stars. I see other people have had great success with them. They are incredibly nice and professional. And they have two dogs behind the counter. I love dogs. Do not be afraid, the dogs couldn't care less about your existence. And like I said, they are behind the counter. I digress... When I first moved to St. Louis, I stayed in a different part of town and had a convenient dry cleaner just up the road from my place. I moved downtown and began a search for a new dry cleaner within close proximity to my new apartment. I did a test run with two blazers - one black, one blue. They came out just fine. So then I took in a dress and a skirt. The dress shrunk. My very cute work dress was no longer work appropriate. Not that a lady should bend over in a dress anyway, lets just say that any tilt forward would have been a disaster. And unfortunately, the style of the dress does not lend itself to a date night dress or weekend dress. It still is a business casual dress, that is just miniature now. The dress was ready within 2 business days, so no I did not gain weight and blame the dry cleaner. The skirt looked fine; however, I noticed that the lining drooped from under the skirt. This skirt is of great quality and has been dry cleaned before without incident. Now my lining shows. Are these coincidences? Maybe. But I am not willing to sacrifice any more items of clothing. Maybe they will be my go-to for my blazers, and only my blazers. read more

I brought a down comforter in for cleaning. I was surprised at the cost ($30), and as previous reviewers mentioned, there are two dogs who hang out at the shop. The dogs don't bother anyone, but I do wonder about if they shed/their hair ends up getting on what should otherwise be clean clothes. Back to the comforter - I picked it up shortly before closing time, and I was in a rush so I paid and left quickly. When I got home I opened the plastic bag and was immediately overwhelmed by the smell of chlorine. There also are little brown pieces of what look like cardboard (I hope?!) scattered across the comforter. I had gotten this cleaned because I had guests coming in to town and now could not put this comforter on the bed. I'm sure I can brush off the pieces of debris, but the smell is so strong that I wouldn't want to sleep with it, let alone ask guests to do so. I have now had the comforter hanging up, airing out, for a few weeks. It still smells like chlorine so much so that I'm not comfortable using it. I have never had a blanket, or any piece of dry cleaning, come back smelling so strongly of chemicals. Who knew it would be the same price to go buy a new down comforter/duvet insert from Ikea than just getting mine cleaned ... so, I'm out $30 and now need to replace this item anyway. read more

Quick turnaround, and my clothes have always come back perfect. price is reasonable

Very average. They tend to crack buttons. Expensive too. Just as good as most any dry cleaner.

I've been using Band Box Cleaners for years and I've recommended them many times. I hope this review does something to negate those foolish recommendations. I took my late father-in-law's coat into Band Box Cleaners on January 11th for cleaning. They told me they needed to send it into their leather company and I would get it back in a week. Two weeks later, I went back and the coat was covered in a shiny, sticky film, which they told me would dry. I asked for it to be sent back. A few weeks later, I called to check on the coat. Apparently, it needed to be sent back again because of the same problem. Finally, after three attempts, I was able to pick up the coat on Friday, March 17th - 9 weeks later with virtually no communication. Of course it was covered in gunk, and the fabric had started lumping up underneath the surface. The guy behind the counter assured me that both he and the leather company were "baffled". He gave me my money back and offered me free dry cleaning. Thanks, but no thanks. The next day, I took the coat into another company, Ram Leather. They took one look at the coat and explained to me that the coat is vinyl, not leather, and that any dry cleaner, and certainly any "leather specialist" should have noticed that right away (and even if they didn't, it was on the tag). The process that is used to clean leather breaks down vinyl, and the sticky film on the coat was actually from the material deteriorating from the chemical treatment. Ram is going to to try preserve what is left of the material as a keepsake, but the coat will not be wearable. I called Band Box today to let them know what happened so that they don't do this to anyone else. The guy behind the counter was flippant and defensive, telling me "Well, I've heard bad things about Ram too". That's not the point. I don't care what leather company is better than another, I care that my husband's father's coat was needlessly ruined over a silly mistake that both Band Box and their leather cleaner (Le Ann Furs, Suede, and Leather) should have caught. I'm devastated that my dry cleaning choice ruined something that meant a lot to my husband. Band Box gave me my money back and offered to do some free dry cleaning. But after 9 weeks, terrible customer service, and a coat ruined on a stupid mistake? Absolutely not. They never even apologized, just deflected blame and tried to make it sound like this is something that just happens sometimes. It doesn't. Do not use Band Box Cleaners; it just isn't worth the risk. read more

I went to the location on 15TH and Washington Ave. to get a dress hemmed. I was deeply disappointed. I walked in and Rita the seamstress was on the phone. It was clearly a personal conversation. I was not acknowledged. I waited a while when finally she told the person on the phone that someone was there and she would call them later. I told her I wanted to get my dress hemmed she looked at it and then exhaled loudly like she was put off. Rita said okay you can put on over your clothes or change in the bathroom. I went to the bathroom and it was filthy as were the floors in the shop. I came out in the dress and she started measuring my waist area. Any other time I have had a shortening they pin on the bottom. She said she had no platform for me to stand on so that was why she was measuring from my waist to the floor. I did not feel confident in her abilities and frankly it was clear she was lazy. During this another staff member arrived and found a stool for me to stand on, but Rita insisted that wouldn't work. I decided to walk out and go elsewhere. I live downtown and went there for the sake of convenience. Save yourself the trouble. Go to a professional. read more

The finished product is always fine and I have not been disappointed. However, one of the staff members at the 15th/Washington Ave. location is racist. I have heard her make racist comments about people while she is one the street smoking and to the seamstress (who is very good). I do not find this acceptable. I will use the Locust locations, but not the 15th St./Wash. Ave location. I know the owners are fine people and are not that way. read more

What can I say? Great service, great people, and great dogs! I've been using Band Box since I moved back into the city for all of my dry cleaning needs. They usually turn everything I drop off around in 48 hours or less and do an excellent job. I'm glad I found this place since it is close to work and the garage I park at which makes it easy to drop off and pick up and be on my way. I highly recommend them for anyone who works or lives downtown. read more

I was excited to try this dry cleaners due to it's proximity to my office and the high reviews here on Yelp. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed. I dropped off a handful of shirts to be cleaned and when I got them back all of the white shirts had soiled collar tips. A couple of the shirts were close to new, so I'm pretty sure it was these guys; probably a dirty press. Also, the press job was pretty crappy, with extraneous creases and bunched up areas, especially on the sleeves and by the pleats on the back of the shirt. Needless to say, I won't be going back. read more

Not too much to say. A cleaners either does it well or not. The people are either nice/professional or they are not. In the case of this bandbox, they are provide a good service, and are both nice and professional. If you are downtown, they are convenient and deserve your patronage. read more
