Don't know why people are taking 1 star off because it's located off the street. Dang people are petty. Anyway this test station is fast, honest, friendly and affordable. $40 out the door and the results are electronically sent. I've been taking my cars here for years and plan to continue going whenever that dreaded smog check required notice comes with the registration. read more

DITTO to all the previous reviews!! Great place in many ways. Here are the directions I wish someone had given me: go down Bancroft from 94E until you are almost to Kempton. You will see a funky little Mexican take out on the right. Just BEFORE (and beside) the take out, there is an alley with large yellow arrows. Take the alley past 2+ buildings and you will be there. Clean shop, very nice service, reasonable price. Check for a coupon online before you go (I didn't). read more

As everyone mentions, it is a strange place for find but you could also order Mexican food when you enter as you come through the drive thru of Loretas Mexican Food. Lots of street signs stating Smog Test so just watch the signals. Courtesy and friendly and reasonable. Good place for this kind of service. read more

i went here today at 9am no line no cars and asked worker if i could get a smog on my 1995 bronco he said: no it will take to long i have a motor home to do today and walk-in's to do,,, i replied but no one is here i live 5 mins away from here i just came here to see if your open i will go get the bronco i just installed a new engine it has been down 14 months i need it smog today he said: NO.. come back tuesday or wednesday, i said really no one is here i am a walk-in too??? he replied 1995 bronco will take to long to smog, i asked can i just wait here for a opening he replied no,,, i have been coming here for at least 15 years and never had anyone say don't need your business today??? so i found a smog station in la mesa in 20 mins later and he smog the bronco in 23 mins wow thats a long time??? Cali v. Smog - STAR Station it cost me $87 but it passed no problem i am so mad at this worker i am sad to... sad for the owner that this worker would not smog the bronco and i had to give my money to another smog station ... i just hope i get to talk to the owner on this matter... read more

I've been going to this location since they opened and always got fast cheap smog tests. They seem to be under new ownership but are still fast & cheap. I just got my car smogged today for $40 using the coupon code from their web site. Just look for the yellow & orange taco shop and follow the signs. read more

Found this place close to home, good reviews and decided to check it out ...1) Place was hard to find (it was behind a taco shop, then you have to go pass a house *which I thought was the spot since the address on the house was clearly the address for the business listed on yelp and they also had the smog advertisement on their front window. There were 3 parking slots in front of the house, so I was waiting for a car to backup, meanwhile, getting honked at by other cars behind me. So I kept driving forward and sure enough, the place was in the back of the house*). Definitely need clearer signs, passed up the place the first time around as well. 2). I was down the street and called to get an estimated wait time, was assured 20 min. "Yes! Definitely bring it in now!" Less than 2-3 minutes on arrival, I was told it was an hour wait. 3) There's a plus, I was greeted when I got out my car and one of the staff members seemed very pleasant. Didn't try to push their services when I said I would go elsewhere. read more
