- y'all gotta try the pudding, it's so good but super filling - kabob is average, big portion - environment is like a canteen - staff are friendly

I absolutely love the Bamiyan restaurants, as I've been to a few already. When I found out I had one virtually next door, I got really excited. I was seriously craving some of their food after a long day of work. The place is quite large and can seat many people. There was a large group of over 10 people there but no line up. I decided to get a kofta and tandoori chicken meal. So apparently they have a meal that's half kofta kebab and regular chicken, but if you get the tandoori it's an extra 2+$ charge. The food is good, so I didn't care for the extra charge. I also got their mango smoothie. The most unfortunate part for this location is that they don't have a mantoo machine. I really hope they get one sometime soon, because those mantoos are to die for. The meal was big and delicious. Both the chicken and kofta were juicy, the rice perfectly done and I love their salad sauce. I was a bit bummed out that I didn't get their white garlicky sauce in my takeout order, but the red spicy sauce was great. The bread that comes on the side is SO good! The mango smoothie is a definite must try. I'll definitely be back for more sometime very soon!

I went again. Aside from the issue of not taking credit card which is silly. Food is great and consistent.

Review Highlights - Bamiyan Kabob

My favourite meal options are the sultani or barg with salad and naan depending on how hungry I am.

My curiosity for kebobs/kebabs have grown over the summer because they are grilled meat and taste different from American/Canadian BBQ flavours. Also, they are more economical. We ordered combo #5 ($36) to share, a dinner with beef tikka, seekh and grilled chicken kebobs. The chicken and seekh kebobs were tender. The beef tikka kebobs were lean, dry and a bit tough to chew. They all tasted fine/A-OK. I found the rice flavorless and not fragrant. The salad was fresh though typical. The naan wasn't as fresh and soft as could be. It had no taste. For each combo, customer could choose to have just naan/salad or dinner (rice/salad/naan). I think the naan/salad option is good portion for 1 person but is pricey, because the dinner option is only $3 extra and there is much rice. The dinner combo 5 and 6 come with 3 skewers of meat and are sufficient for 2 people. This is important because the restaurant doesn't mind people dining communal style on premise. There were many families dining there when we visited. I interpret it as the food is authentic and economical.

New little Afghani restaurant in Vaughan, came here to celebrate a birthday and had a great time!…read more My girlfriend and I ordered the following: - Lamb Shank dinner 8/10 - Kobidah Kebob (beef skewers) 8.5/10 - Raspberry lemonade 7/10 The lamb was flavourful and well seasoned, pretty gamey but expected when it comes to lamb. It was served with rice and sauce. The Kobidah Kebobs were really flavourful and went really with their rice! Raspberry lemonade was alright but nothing extraordinary. The only little complaint I have is that there was no veggies or salad with the dinner plate and Naan is extra cost. The restaurant was clean and service was good too, the waitresses that served us were friendly and attentive! Overall I would recommend, we spent a total of 60$ after tax and 18% gratuity

Here's what my boyfriend and I ordered: * Lamb Shank $22.99 - 8/10 * Kobidah Kebob (beef skewers) $17.99 -8/10 * Raspberry Lemonade $4.99 - 7/10 The lamb was so tender and basically fell off the bone. Was so tasty! The beef skewer delicious as well, topped with a tangy seasoning that we couldn't get enough of. The raspberry lemonade we could've passed on honestly, nothing crazy, but water is fine or we'd love to try a different drink next time. Servers were very friendly and checked on us regularly. We had lots of questions about the menu and they carefully answered each one. We had to wait a bit, but I think it's because we were such a big group as well. Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Parking: free parking, big open lot. Overall, we'd definitely come back again to try their other menu items!

My GPS had difficulty finding an easy way to the little strip mall, driving me around the block 2-3 times until I finally saw the sign and pulled in (GPS still told me I was 2 minutes away). The interior is a mix of tables and comfortable booths with the counter to place your order at the back. Open kitchen concept so you know everything is fresh to order. I ordered the chicken sultani. Fairly extensive menu with clarifying explanations for those of us not familiar with the cuisine. The portions are very generous!!! I ordered the dinner which meant the meat was accompanied by naan, salad and rice. The naan was warm from the oven, melt in your mouth goodness. The salad was primarily lettuce and the dressing flavoured it well. The rice had such a nice aroma and was cooked to perfection. The chicken Kebob was tender and juicy, very mildly spiced. The chicken Shami was also very tender, unfortunately just one notch above my spice tolerance level (which I admit is generally very low). Price point is fair given the portion size. Service is quick and friendly. Place had a steady stream of customers the entire time. I would definitely come here again! Don't often find myself in that area but it's worth a trip!

Really not bad on the wallet, and so delicious! The kebob is well seasoned, not too spicy, and the wrap is filled with fresh vegetables. I am not sure if the flat bread is housemade... it's quite fresh tasting! Now the service... the lady at the front is nice. However, I called in to place my lunch order a few times, and the last two times they've got it wrong. Instead of the wrap, they made me a lunch platter, which was way too much food and about double the price. I didn't want to argue and paid for it, and ate it over two meals. But the next time I called, I made sure to clarify wrap... and lo and behold she is charged me nearly $13 for a platter when I went to pick up! She didn't believe me at first, but was quick to correct the mistake. I think I will just avoid phone orders, and point to the lunch special in the store.
