I always order the #1; however, if I'm in the mood, I'll try other items too. They have several areas for seating which is cool. It's a combination of jelly, red bean, mung bean, taro, and coconut milk. This is a must try! My only complaint is that sometimes the jelly is hard. Service is quick. I and my friends love this place, it's nice and carries variety of che (sweet drink), smoothies, milk teas and especially the shaved-ice-like-ice-cream. I was a big fan for several years but since they have moved from their original location (now is Teaholic), prices have gone up, however the quality of their drinks is still consistent and they have added new items to their menu as well such as shaved ice and Banh Trang Tron. Obviously the most popular drink is their bambu special and it is absolutely worth getting if you cannot decide. If you're a coconut lover, you'll be hooked on this drink and even if you're not, you'll still appreciate it. The other recommended drinks are the #6 and #10. They have a big variety of different desserts and drinks. Located in the Kim Son plaza so plenty of parking, just tougher at peak times. Lots of tables and seating, but does get crowded. I love this place. They have really nice "Dessert" drinks that are super delicious. They used to have a location near River Oaks but ever since that closed I started driving 15 miles to come here for their Tapioca Tea. This place is always buzzing - the good part. However, the staff is not able to keep up with it's maintenance and it was quite dirty when I went in last weekend. Tables and floors were sticky, floors had straw wrappers all around. I would have easily given 4 stars for their product. However, lack of cleanliness and the care taken to keep the premises got me quite turned off and I did not feel like sitting in to enjoy my drink. However, after finding a fly in my drink and having to repeatedly complain to workers, this experience will be my last. Clearly remembering my first feeling of confusion as I spit out the fly, my stomach churns at the thought that the workers payed such disregard towards the quality of their drinks. After showing the workers a photo of the fly that I had almost swallowed, they reluctantly asked "What do you want?" As if careless of this event. My family and I have been fans of this BAMBU location for years now! Their drinks and desserts are always consistent and the service is always very friendly. We've tried other locations in Houston and none of them compare to this one. We love to order from the dessert section that consist of their Vietnamese Che, it's outstanding! I was also very pleased that they added shaved ice to the menu when they moved to a larger building just next door to their old location. My favorite is the strawberry cheesecake which consist of a layer of strawberry shaved ice under a layer of cheesecake shaved ice and topped with graham cracker crumbs, strawberries, raspberries, and condensed milk and strawberry drizzle. I would give the food and beverages five stars as really they are signature far east dishes and dessert but the way they serve customers during this covid time is really concerning. The lady on the cashiers already full prepped with mask, shield, etc but then when we were called for our order, we noticed that the man who served our food and drinks (probably the same one who made them too) was barefaced. No mask, no shield at all. He even talked to us in front of our food that has no cover at all. Great shave ice. I love lychee shave ice. Their Che is also good. BANH trang tron is also great. I order banh trang tron here to try. I'm going to do comparisons between here and Hangout BANH trang tron. First off bambu $5.99 and Hangout $4.99. Bambu has tiny tiny shrimps the size of mosquitoes which is tasty. Not a lot of beef jerky and 3 halves of quail eggs. You have slice of lime to squeeze on and have to wait for the rice paper to soften. I like the roasted lots of peanuts but I don't like liver. Overall good. The Hangout is price one dollar less. The rice paper is already soften with some sauce. There are lots of beef jerky but only half a big egg.
