A hipster Vietnamese dessert place if you will. Most known for their variations on Che ba mau along with shaved iced and smoothies: This BAMBU had a slightly different menu from my go to in the U district. I went with my usual fruit tea but had the option of different tea flavors, I went with mango (normally it's just a basic tea of some sort). It had chunks of fresh apple but the rest of the toppings were fruit jellies and basil seeds. It was too sweet for me so half sugar next time for me. Conveniently located in the plaza next to ranch 99. Plenty of angled parking. Can be busy on the weekends. $10 minimum for credit card. They use five stars for their rewards program, remember to punch in your number. read more

I've spent my recent time in isolation trying all the boba places available via delivery. Bambu was decent. I ordered two drinks and a food item. The best part of the order was the pandan waffle. I loved it. Sizable and super tasty with a subtle pandan flavor. Was great all on it's own, or you could dip it into a sweet topping if you choose. The waffle by itself isn't too sweet, but I am glad as it matched the drinks better. The first drink I got was a coffee milk tea. It was good. A decent coffee flavor. I added coffee jelly and sea salt foam. Unfortunately the sea salt foam was missing. The coffee jellies were there and they were standard as far as coffee jellies go. Pretty firm and chewy. The second drink I got was the oolong milk tea. Unfortunately, the tea flavor was very weak. I like my oolong milk tea to have a full bodied flavor, preferably toasty. I added grass jelly and sea salt foam. The sea salt foam was nice, and the grass jelly was pretty standard as well. Once I brewed some strong additional tea and added it to the drink, it was a little better. Bambu offers a ton of variety of toppings and a great level of customization, but as a result I think the quality of the toppings suffers a little. None of them were terrible, but none of them were really great either. Overall, I don't think I will order from here again as I enjoyed other options nearby more, but it is a shame because I could eat that pandan waffle every week. read more

I've been coming to this location since they opened, after being a fan of the ID Bambu already, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots for bubble tea in the area! They do all the "typical" milk tea and smoothie options you'd expect, all with fresh flavorful ingredients. Never have I had a better avocado smoothie than the ones I've had here, seriously. Never have I had boba or toppings here that were subpar, either. Always perfectly chewy tapioca, and I'm a big fan of their pudding when I'm feeling extra. If you've never tried ché before, either, take your next date here and share an order of ché - it's basically shaved ice + coconut milk + toppings - it's always a big portion that's easy to share but not too rich, either. But, more than anything my favorite thing about Bambu Edmonds is the unique options they offer. This location has two notable menu items that are unique to this location and not available in the ID: pandan waffles and magonada. The pandan waffles are perfectly sweet and have the best chewy texture!! I would die for these precious little bright green waffles from heaven. Seriously, they're the best and I get serious cravings for those waffles. The magonada they make is not as "WOW" as I've had at a Mexican specialty shop before, but it's still super tasty and holds it's own. Filled with so much fresh fruit and that spicy tamarind candy I live for!! I am mostly just happy to know ANY place in North King County that makes magonada. The only other places I know of in King County that serve magonada are deep on the south end near Kent/Des Moines - Bambu helps me get my fix. read more

Used to other stores. Dropped by and tried Bambu Combo and Coconut Combo. It tasted a little too sweet this time. Comparing to American desserts, Asian drinks/cakes usually are mild with natural sweet, for healthy concerns. read more

This place is a little different from the Kent location but I love this location very much! I love that they have the che's, shakes and coffee like the other one. I have tried their che and blended coffee all delish! Will be back to try other items. :) read more

Came to the soft opening. Average flow of people, just looks alot since it's a small shop. I ordered 4 drinks and it took 30 mins. Very slow service for the amount of people they had in the back. At one point there was more people in the back then customers. It should take this long to get smoothies. Even the chinatown location has way faster service with triple the amount of customers. For the smoothies, the size is smaller & more pricy than the other locations. Plus side about this location is that it's located in a strip mall so plenty of parking. Sorry but, I'll stick with the chinatown location read more

Had a good first experience , for it only being a soft opening. I was disappointed that weren't drinks like soyful or fruit addict yet on the menu, but hope they are coming soon. (fingers crossed) The flavor of our drink seems to have less coconut milk in it or it wasn't as strong. The drink arrived in a timely matter, definitely not as fast as the one in International district but it still came within 5 minutes. The prices seem like it was a bit more expensive as well. They have pandan waffles. Parking might be a mess on Saturday and Sunday morning - afternoons, but if you're looking for a spot to hangout ... this might not be the best because of the small interior. Just grab it to go and head over to edmonds beach !! read more

Fun bubble tea, but skip the snow ice. Parking/location: Big parking lot shared with Ranch 99 and T&T Ambiance: There isn't much to speak of. Sort of eclectic but didn't come together very well. Service: Fine - nothing memorable. Food: So this is NOT Taiwanese, it's Vietnamese, so keep that in mind. Bubble tea was average, but it had the fun bubbles that have syrup inside and when you bite into them they pop in your mouth :). We also got the snow ice which was small - enough for 1 person, but they cut up the fruit into tiny tiny pieces like the size of peas (maybe smaller). I wouldn't order this again even though it is cheaper than most other places. Recommendation: Meh, nothing special, but maybe I ordered the wrong thing - apparently the che is the thing to get and we didn't get it. read more

Small shop. Smells great from their waffles. However, we weren't greeted. Everyone waiting seemed miserable, and the staff barely speaks English. Whixht I don't care, but the person taking orders should understand somewhat for order accuracy. Our order was wrong. We won't be returning, especially for the cost. read more

I hate their lids!! Why can't Bambu has those plastic covers that we can poke our straws in ! It's so annoying with these lids that my drinks always leaks ! Also not having soy milk or almond milk as an option is negative one star. read more

L O C A T I O N Inside the plaza where Ranch 99 and T&T Restaurant is located. They share a big parking lot with other shops. Parking can be confusing and competitive because the lanes are one-ways only. Besides that it's pretty much free parking. D R I N K Yogurt Combo w/ strawberry, kiwi, and mango ($6.75 Large) I have been craving this drink since the Bambu location down in Kent never has it in stock (not sure why, but they always say it'll come back). This drink was made well, It has sips of syrup, fruit, and yogurt and it was so good. It came in the large size, that's why it's a little pricey compare to their other drinks. S E R V I C E Came in during the evening time on a Tuesday and there weren't any customers inside, so service was fast. It seems like there's only one person working that night. O V E R A L L This place has good service and it was clean. They had various drink options (smoothies, yogurts, Che, milk teas, regular teas, fruit teas, sea salt teas, coffee, and juices). They also have Pandan waffles ($4) and Snow Ice ($5.95) if you're not craving for drinks. I'm totally coming back for their yogurt drink! I pretty much only get this drink when I'm at Bambu. I'm sad that the Kent location doesn't sell it anymore but that's ok, at least this location gave me hope that it is still a menu item. Was really looking forward for this place to open. Glad I came to the soft opening. First time here and got #3 awesome trio with mung bean, red bean , pandan jelly , taro, and coconut milk. It was so good! A little too sweet for me, but I still enjoyed it. It is a little pricey though for over $5 for that drink. I came in the afternoon on weekday around 3 so there wasn't anyone there so I got my drink in 2 mins. read more

I want to love this place, I really do. It's really the only che option here in the north end. The che I've had is generally really good. However, I've been totally turned off by my last several experiences there. They got our order wrong on three separate occasions. The third time, I caught it before we walked out of the shop and mentioned the issue to the cashier (that our Green Lantern drink had grass jelly in it). Her response was to deny it and insist that the drink was made correctly. When I kept pointing to the menu and telling her that it's not listed as an ingredient in the drink, she asked, "OK so do you want me to take it out?". No, lady, I don't want you to stick your hand in there and take out the wrong ingredient that you put in that already mixed with everything else! I want a new drink made RIGHT. I feel like that's just a common courtesy when you get the customer's order wrong? Maybe my expectations are too high. Anyways, we'll likely be back because there's really no other che options but you can bet that as soon as a competitor opens, I will happily head over there instead! read more

I like the branding, the clean look, and their staff are very helpful deciphering the menu and steering me towards good tasty choices. The price display is a little misleading to me the way it's laid out. It seems a bit spendy but it's a good place to hang out or meet up, and I liked this more than crowded bubble tea places. read more

Okay, educational PSA.....This is NOT a Taiwanese bubble tea joint. Per their website: Chè is a Vietnamese word for home-made beverages, dessert drinks and puddings. Think Vietmanese bubble-ish tea joint.... We decided to check them out last night, I'm thinking "bubble" tea, and well, after reading the menu, not so much, as they do have bubble-ish tea/juice drinks, I'd say it's worth taking a ride on the wild side to try something new. We opted to share, since we were stuffed from dinner. Youngest and I shared the "Fruit Addict" which consisted of; Lychee, longan, red tapioca, jackfruit, palm seed, jello, pandan jelly, coconut & coconut milk. How they fit all of that in the glass I have no idea. IT was crazy packed with stuff, and in the end we ran out of liquids to "drink" it and ended up using a fork! The "snow" part on top did melt but it wasn't enough to help us work the straw, so in essence it was more of a cup of fruits to chow on. BUT... the best thing I have ever eaten in a very long time was the Pandan waffle..... OMG.... OMG...OMG.... They only serve them in 1 or 2 size servings, if they were smart, they'd start serving them up in dozen packs!! Crunchy on the outside but tender and tad chewy on the inside, not really sure of this "pandan" flavor, but I've ordered some of the stuff from Ebay.... yes, it was THAT good.... Google it. You'll be glad you did.... Oh, and if you can't wait that long for your shipment of Pandan flavoring to arrive from Indonesia ... get in here and check them out!!! read more

$9.50 for a rice paper salad (Banh trang tron)???? What? Really? I think the price a bit ridiculous compare to the one in Seattle, and Kent for approx $7~7.50. Their desserts are more pricey compare to other locations with the same quality and quantity. We have been to Bambu, at International District on 7th Ave S in Seattle, twice. This place is the best snow ice cream shop in Seattle. We tried Thai, pistachio, mango, coconut taro, & durian flavors. We liked every single item I ordered. We got complimentary a taro coconut waffle. It was so good. I would give 5/5 for snow ice creams & waffle. But for the che drink, it looked colorful but the taste was too bland, not sweet enough. I would rate it as 2.5/5. read more

I like that when I walk in here I could smell the nice sweet aromas flowing from the back room where they prepare these babies. It's a nice welcoming greeting for me in particular. Great photos are displayed up on the walls. They have a few tables where I can hang out for a while waiting for my order and watch the big screen tv that shows music performances. The whole ambiance is bright enough, easy to look at and color coordinated to entice me even more. My favorites so far are: Penny'sworth mung bean juice (this drink is an ancient home remedy drink which, improves memory and vitality). It is also said that it's good for men as well according to my friend google. Go ahead and read on it. The smashed fresh avocados with shaved ice, milk or cream is also nicely sweetened. Delightful I say and... avocados as we know it are also healthy fats and keeps us hydrated as well as having great skin. Anyway, this place have many wonderful satiable juices that are very good for our well-being whether you like them hot or cold. I'm glad they are here in Edmonds! Plenty of parking in this small shopping mall where there are many eatery places to choose from, grocery market, a massage place just a few steps away, etc. You must check this place out if you and when you crave special sugars like I do. Updating my review. Went to treat myself with boba milk tea at the end of the week but I was disappointed that my tapioca texture wasn't that chewy. In comparison to other places that have consistently good milk tea, this place doesn't have the same level of consistency. In addition, it was more expensive than I remember... so doubly disappointed. read more

This one hits close to home. Coming from a Vietnamese heritage, you can only imagine what my excitement was like to hear that there was a Vietnamese style dessert opening in my neighborhood! Perhaos I'm a little biased but I love it. They have a surprisingly large selection of things to try and for what it is, the items taste pretty good. Admittedly it can take a few minutes longer than it should to get your order but I'm happy to wait. It's a quaint little place so there's not much room to sit so don't expect to hang around for too long, it's an order and go kind of place. Overall I hope this business does well to keep improving themselves and leaving their mark on the Lynnwood area read more

Chè Trai Cay is my favorite, it's a must try. They have all sorts of desserts, smoothies, tea & milk teas. I love their franchise.. The owner is very nice. Also! Soft opening has been for two weeks and currently there's a promotion going on to get a raffle for a free prize! Even better. Be sure to check it out! No major complaints here. Pretty good bad for a soft opening. They didn't have Snow Ice yet, but not the end of the world - just another reason to come back. Ordered 4 drinks and they all came out pretty quick, about 10 minutes. Oh, make sure you check in for 20% off *before* getting in line so you don't hold up the whole line. read more

So refreshing! I ordered a lychee smoothie with both regular and mango boba as well as pandan jelly. The layered presentation was beautiful and the ingredients were so tasty. My smoothie was the perfect way to cool down on a summer afternoon. They may have adjusted their recipe due to concerns expressed in previous reviews about flavor saturation. I found my smoothie intensely flavored in the best way. I also ordered the pandan waffle which is the same size and shape as your standard Belgian waffle and has a really neat green tint. I reheated my pandan waffle in my toaster oven at 200 degrees for 12 minutes. The crispy exterior and chewy interior were excellent. I am officially in love with pandan and I can't wait to order another smoothie from Bambu! read more

I tried the Kocochi milk tea with creme brulee, boba, jelly, etc. Sounds good on paper, inflation I get it, was expecting $7 but it was $8, plus tax, so it is actually not that competitive of a price anymore now that I think about it. I could get a very good quality boba drink for $7.50+tax elsewhere without all the fancy toppings, but with boba included. I was pretty disappointed with the quality. The boba is so overcooked that it is mushy, and the creme brulee was not thick enough that I have to use a spoon to even be able to get any of it out (instead of being able to drink it from the other side which is what it is supposed to be). I'd avoid this place unless this is a one off but I will need to be redeemed a better experience before recommending this place. There are better options in the area

She kept talking back to me, didn't care to maintain eye contact and pushed the bag full of pastries towards me like she didn't have a care. I always order sea salt caramel coffee and this is the first time it doesn't taste as it should... Unfortunately I didn't see a name tag but she gave attitude to the customer behind me as well, hopefully it doesn't continue for the rest of the customers who's undeserving of that. Even if you have a bad day, doesn't mean you should project it onto people especially customers. Who wants to start their morning with bad coffee and even worse attitude? Management should go through trainings especially customer service and valid military IDs for active members and veterans.

Boba Milk Tea, Medium, 25% Sweet ($4.85) - I've only gotten boba in the afternoon from 85C, most recently from the Lynnwood location, and it wasn't very good at all. I'm guessing they don't rotate the boba at all, so ordering it earlier is better. The boba at 8AM is actually pretty good with a surprisingly decent chew and bounce and a good sweetness on the exterior that's also sticky and soft. The pearls aren't really consistent in size, but are consistent in texture, which is more important. For the tea - 50% sweet is usually way too sweet for me at 85C. 25% is good and not too sweet. Unfortunately there isn't much tea flavor and it mainly tastes milky and creamy. Milk Tea Rating: 3/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 White Chocolate Strawberry ($2.60) - Very soft bun with the typical artificial strawberry flavor. The bun is super soft with a nice subtle bounce. Small pieces of softened white chocolate are embedded in the strawberry flavored cream on the inside. It's a well balanced bun that's sweet but not cloying. A staff member exited the kitchen and walks towards the register near the trash can and she proceeded to open the trash can and keep it open, looked at me and asked how was everything. I was honest and told her I always enjoy the food however today too much mayo and she just kept peering down at my trash in the trash and then her coworker exited the kitchen to join the convo and no sorry or anything...just kept her foot on the trash to keep it open and both employees looked at the trash and looked at me rudely so I told them thank you have a nice day and was off put by the experience. I have to assume they just didn't want to do the dishes as one couple had dine in plates and were actually pointing to each other the trash on the floor and discussing their meal. I ordered the pho banh mi so I wouldn't have to worry about a mayo situation tbh. Food was flavorful and good. Portions seem to be a bit smaller than what I remember. If they added actual pho to the menu I bet it would be a hit! To-go ordering seems the popular thing here and if I return is what I'll do. Just sad as this used to be my fav spot but now I've found a better place with better service and food. Drinks here and food is super tasty but wish service, cleanliness, and atmosphere could be improved! Service is important and with my past two visits I feel it's a very unwelcoming atmosphere with the staff being hostile and cold and cafe seating indoors and outdoors are dirty. For me when spending my money somewhere I don't want to be treated poorly or like I'm an inconvenience or just being tolerated. The service leaves such a bad impression that it makes me avoid this place now when I used to recommend it.

Service has always been stellar. We normally enjoy a salmon flight, a tuna flight, the kelp-cured scallops (must be ordered in advance) and whatever else strikes our fancy or Nakano-San recommends. It's always spectacular! I find the nigiri to be just about perfect--just enough rice to offset the fresh taste of the fish. There is plenty on the menu beyond sushi but we admit to coming here for one reason only so I can't speak to much else (although the green salad is very nice, as is dessert.) Plenty of wine, cocktail and sake options. I remember the many years we didn't have a sushi restaurant in downtown Edmonds so I never take an evening here for granted.
