Chinese food in Jupiter is generally quite average and often falls flat, but lately, we've been sticking with Bamboo Wok. The food is generally solid--sometimes a bit inconsistent--the staff is friendly, orders are ready on time, and you can tell they take care in prepping quality ingredients. The proteins are well-trimmed, and everything is fresh, which is a big plus. Ordering online is easy with their colorful, well-organized website. However, there's a real downside: if you order for pickup through the website, prices are higher than what's listed on their in-store and published menu. It's unclear if this extra fee goes to the website provider (Beyond Menu) or if Bamboo Wok is just covering platform or delivery service fees--even though this is just for pick-up and not for delivery. Either way, this hidden mark-up is unfair to pick-up customers and should be disclosed upfront. I'll assume ordering by phone or in person (order & wait) will get you the correct pricing. The food is nearly inedible. The chicken fried rice came with white fatty chunks of what appeared to be uncooked chicken, otherwise I would say it was unidentifiable. The rice and vegetables were cold and stale, tasted old. The pu pu platter came with fresh hot fried chicken, the drumsticks were decent, but the dumplings were cold, hard, and disgusting. Ribs were mostly fat and had no meat, similar to the sweet and sour chicken that was ordered, the chicken was the worst I've experienced and was not satisfying at all. I ordered takeout and it was the WORST Chinese food I've ever had. Very disappointing. I threw half of it away. (the eggroll was the only thing that was just okay) The cashew chicken had large chunks of raw celery, hardly any other vegetables (no baby corn cobs), only a few cashews, and the sauce was bland and flavorless. I ordered Szechuan, and there was no spice at all even though it said Szechuan right on the receipt!!! The pork fried rice was hard and crunchy and no egg in it like you would expect to find in any traditional Chinese fried rice. I won't be back and would advise anyone else to go elsewhere. No matter the time or day, you'll get the same quality and taste. If you pair the chicken with white rice or fried rice, it's an even better combination. Of course, they do offer a wider menu, quite a large menu for how small the business is depending on your appetite for the day. During 5 pm to 6 pm, the business can get very business with 2 school's nearby so I suggest ordering ahead so you can avoid long wait times. read more

Super clean and cautious with the food pickup, I had to speak into a microphone to order, and they put my take out bag into a window for me to pick up. I wish all restaurants around here cared this much about their customers. As for the food, it was excellent. Very feel good, just the little treat we were looking for! Called in for one combination dinner. Came 40 minutes later and he said I didn't call. However proved it in my Phone and I knew I spoke to him. So he throws some hard chicken in a pan that some fell on the floor and some fell on the sides of the counter but he threw it in the pan with oil anyways. The food was delivered promptly after a user friendly web order and the driver was very nice and wore a mask. The food was fresh and the only thing that was missing was Fortune cookies. My fiancé and I are in from out of town and ordered food from them last night rather close to closing. They accidentally forgot to include an order of dumplings, a simple mistake. We were headed back to our Airbnb and they called us to inform us they had forgotten to include that in our order. Rather than tell us we could come back and get it or we were s.o.l., one of their workers drove 20 minutes to us to ensure our order was complete. On top of that, they included some free drinks! This is the slowest takeout restaurant I've ever visited. The first time I went it took about 35 minutes to get my food and this time I've waited over 20 minutes. The Szechuan chicken I ordered last time was mediocre but I decided to come back because of the positive reviews on Yelp. I ordered the pepper steak lunch special this time but I haven't gotten to eat it yet even though my lunch break is almost over.
