A casual dine in spot with ample amount of seating. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share and we liked all of them. We got the stinky tofu (not as stinky as you would get in Taiwan but still good), Taiwanese fried chicken, oyster pancake, crispy fried intestine, beef noodle soup, & pork rice cake. Our favorites were the fried pork intestines (fried to perfection), oyster pancake, & beef noodle soup.

Turned out to be a great choice. Although not easy to find on the tail end of a nondescript commercial strip, we saw its sign and walked in to a decent sized dining room with a half dozen booths along one wall and about a dozen tables spread across the remainder. Plenty of original watercolors displayed and for sale on the walls. David the proprietor seemed to be handling most of the operation himself. He sat us, took our order, disappeared into the kitchen to participate in its preparation and served our four courses to us in traditional style - separately as ready. The food was excellent. We chose from both the lunch and regular menu, which were integrated seamlessly. Fried Pork Chop, Crispy Fried Intestine, Fish Fillets in Chili Sauce from the mains, and Orange Beef from the lunch list. I started with Hot &Sour Soup, which was flavorful and loaded with tofu, sprouts, pork slivers and potent vinegar. Loved it! The Pork Chop was deboned and pressed thin. The result was a crisp sliced Katsu-like cutlet with nice flavor and long crunchy chew. The Intestine was also crisp and filled with green beans that mixed well with the hardened shell and soft innards. Not my fave, but my lovely partner ate it enthusiastically. The Fish and Chili was very good, with tender lightly breaded white fish fillets and red chili sauce that included small pieces of celery, sprouts and cabbage, in a large bowl. Finally, the lunch sized Orange Beef was delicious with sweet and spicy amber sauce coating the pieces of lightly crisped beef. Ubiquitous broccoli sprigs added color to the dish. Service was friendly and accommodating. David was happy to interact and talk about his business there. Red Onion is a Five Star keeper.

This spot was super busy, and while service was on the slower side, our server was super friendly and had plenty of recommendations. We thought the apps here far outdid their noodle dishes! 4.5/5 Fried Dumplings -- these were so good! The dumpling skin was super crisp, filling was juicy and flavorful! 4.5/5 Shengjianbao -- super fluffy with a crisp bottom, filling was great too, could have been more generous. 3/5 Original Crossing Bridge Noodle Soup -- the pork broth here was done better than their chicken broth, and the variety of toppings was nice. 2.5/5 Chicken Rice Noodle Soup -- I order this quite regularly at many other "crossing bridge noodle" spots but unfortunately cannot recommend this here. The broth had this unpalatable flavor and poultry odor. The chicken meat was also very dry.

I highly recommend the hot and spicy Szechuan broth with beef ($16). It is super flavorful and has a mighty kick to it. The beef was also perfectly tender. The noodles picked up a lot of the flavor. I also tried the original broth with fatty beef slices ($14), which was good! the flavor of the pork broth is much more subtle though, so my preference is the Szechuan one.

It's flavorful and the bread (burger) was home-made and so good! For noodles, my husband had 大盤雞拌麵 Big plate chicken with (wide) noodles: Great flavor. The chicken was cooked with bone and brown peppers so it's so delicious but some people may be annoyed but it's so good! I had 刀削炒麵 knife-cut stir-fried noodles...this put a smile on my face ^_^ It's cooked with tomato, pepper and onion. They offered different meat options and I ordered the chicken. They brought me the noodles with beef, I didn't mind so I didn't say anything and ate it anyway...It was not your usual stir-fried beef, it's beef cubes braised and tender! What a happy mistake! 15 minutes later, the waiter brought over the noodles with chicken b/c he realized the error so...Now I got to try both! They actually tasted different. The noodles with chicken tasted more tomato b/c chicken flavor is more mild. They're both Delicious! The place was clean and wait staff were friendly and very helpful. They are so Good; we will definitely return to try more!

The décor is beautiful, modern, and instantly sets the tone for a great dining experience. The cocktails were outstanding and clearly crafted with intention. I tried one topped with a wasabi/ginger foam (wish I remembered the name!) and the Hazy Tea cocktail that comes in a kettle -- both were fantastic. My wife ordered the Lavender Martini and loved it so much she got it twice. Now the food... amazing. We ordered the paneer dumplings, and I genuinely could have ordered them three more times. They were THAT good. The steamed dumplings were solid too. I got the Lamb Roganjosh, which was flavorful and came in a generous portion. My wife ordered the Side Chicken -- which I happily helped her with -- and the Chicken Biryani, which she enjoyed (a little spicy, but delicious). For dessert, we tried the tres leches and the Indian Neapolitan ice cream. The ice cream, especially the pistachio flavor, was incredible -- rich, creamy, and so unique. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. The ambiance, the drinks, the food, the portions -- everything exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back! And the staff were so attentive and friendly

Service was fast and the staff was responsive, which we appreciated. Overall, the experience was mixed -- good ambiance and quick service, but the food quality didn't live up to expectations

The service is very friendly and patient (and American friendly). The food comes out lightning fast. Everything is very reasonably priced. Best of all, it's all delicious. I tried stuff outside of my comfort zone and I loved it all. We were second standing outdoors waiting in this big fat long line. Immediately upon opening for the day the line nearly forced entry near stampede and this cafe was immediately packed to full occupancy of patrons with free seating. The Yelp reviews are accurate and truthful. The food is great. This is a small cafe with only approximately eight tables. I do not recommend large parties of five and greater. It is no-frills, but not exactly "hole in the wall" type that lack in aesthetics for upscale lavish atmosphere but the deficiency is resolved in the food quality. There is one sole functioning restroom in the whole business, ergo, stand in line and wait. We entered hungry in a lugubrious sense of deep sorrow, but exited hunger pangs fulfilled. When exiting upon completion of our lunch meal, there was a line that quickly formed outdoors waiting. Unfortunately, access to this cafe in Edison, NJ is by car only and there is a free parking lot that is shared with neighboring businesses located in a small shopping complex. There are no business cards, and no takeout menus available. Customer service is efficient as the staff worked methodically hustling busy to take orders and fulfillment. Our male waiter was attentive to respond to our inquiries and make suggestions based on our desires. I was able to keep the sales receipt. Price is in the rationale realm of stagflation totaling $41.75. Nota Bene: No table hibernation as the table turnover is fast pace with a line overflowing outdoors which cannot interrupt the flow. My foodie synopsis: Pork steam soup dumplings, 6 pcs, siu2 lung4 baau1, 小籠包, $8.75 Very juicy, flavorful and great. It was served piping hot. This is my favorite default dish for every visit at any Shanghainese ethnic cuisine. However, there were no serving tongs provided for this particular appetizer which is industry standard. Preserved cabbage with pork noodle soup, syut3 coi3 juk6 si1 min6, 雪菜肉絲麵 $9.50 This is a satisfying Chinese comfort food. This noodle soup was abundant with noodles, pork and chopped vegetables. It provided warmth to my very broken heart. Shanghai chicken in wine sauce, zeoi3 gai1, 醉雞, $8.95 A traditional Chinese cold appetizer, aka Chinese Drunken chicken made with Chinese Shaoxing cooking wine. It has amazing flavor and texture to be deliciously enticing. Of course, the cooking wine brings flavor to this appetizer making you want more. Shanghai pan fried U-Don noodle, soeng6 hoi2 cou1 caau2 min6, 上海粗炒面, $11.95 Abundant noodles with good consistency and it not heavily filled with grease and oil.

The bowls are made of thick, sturdy paper, with a beautiful red base and gold rim--both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly. Ordering is done through a self-service kiosk, but there are still staff members nearby. When it's not busy, they are friendly and happy to assist with any questions. The Noodle in Scallion Sauce (上海葱油拌麵) has a rich scallion oil flavor with perfectly chewy noodles, while the Cold Noodle w.
