I'm honestly a little confused after reading so many positive reviews on this place. Came for the Sunday dinner buffet and left feeling like it really wasn't worth it. The selection was not nearly as wide as advertised, and can't hold a candle to any other buffets I've gone too. Food itself was ok - certainly not better than your run of the mill Chinese buffet, and a lot of items (particularly the small variety of sushi they had) were empty the entire hour we were there. For the price ($24.95) I would go to literally any other buffet. Flaming grill and supreme buffet in Roslindale or Yamato in Norwood are infinitely better options if you're looking for sushi. Will not come back here again. read more

It was a family affair this past Friday evening. For having no reservation, they were able to sit a group of 7 (which later became 9) within 5 minutes. We were all hungry after our long drive from NJ. We enjoyed crispy pad thai, beef with scallops, pork & shrimp fried rice, soft shell crabs, hot & sour soup, shrimp tempura roll, eel roll, seaweed salad, and couple other dishes which i cannot recall. Everything was satisfactory. A couple of us really liked the crispy pad thai, it was a great twist to the classic soft noodle. I don't usually condone hotel restaurants but this one might just have to be an exception. The prices are pretty reasonable as well for such an establishment. If your staying at the hotel and looking for a place to grab a bite and do not feel like driving around town, then look no further. read more

Maybe the best chinese buffet in the Northeast. Surprisingly very good for a cheap $13 lunch buffet. They kept replenishing the food so it came out steaming hot, and it wasn't just sitting out getting cold. There is a wide array of selections to choose from such as chicken wings, dumplings, beef and broccoli, sushi, etc. Usually I hate buffets but I don't mind this one. Ah, Bamboo... Our standby restaurant in Sharon went out of business when the owner and his wife went back to China...so we reluctantly started going to other places. One day, my dad was going to see a film with his best friend and decided to check out this new place, Bamboo. They sit down, and who is the waitress but the wife of the owner of Jade Garden? The best waitress in the world! Bamboo's a bit pricey for "regular" Chinese dining, but the food's mad good, the staff is wonderful and the decor is gorgeous. The only thing that sucks is that you can't get wonton as a soup option when you order from the buffet. However, the buffet is great. read more

Food is okay, but not spectacular. That said, the presentation is very nice. Waitress understood no English at all. Asked for the wine list and it was clear that she had no idea what we were asking for. Asked if we could get the Kung Pao Chicken with white meat chicken only and she was lost again. Surprisingly this place was pretty decent. Ordered the hamachi kama and the home style tofu. I only ate the hamachi kama and it was really good. It was grilled perfectly and super meaty. The Home style Tofu comes with deep fried tofu with vegetables in a brown sauce. The boyfriend ate all of it and he is pretty picky when it comes to tofu but he gave a thumbs up for this place. He was just as surprised as I am with how decent this place is because we don't typically care for places that have two different menus (they had a chinese menu and a japanese menu). Love the food here, loved the decor. The service was fast, and the atmosphere was very comfortable and clean. It is kind of pricey at some points (a shot of tequila will run you $10) so I guess it's best to avoid the bar if you're on a budget. Definitely check it out though. read more

We've been coming here for the lunch buffet for a few years now. There is a good variety of sushi and Chinese food items. Overall the food quality is good for buffet and the price is cheap. My only complaint is that the pans are always pretty sparse. They need to bring more food out more often and make sure the pans are full. The wait staff is friendly enough and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. read more

Wow! Everything was great! The sushi ranks very high (try the crazy, Idaho and rainbow). The egg rolls were awesome. General Gao was so good and the beef sukiyaki (nabe mono) was awesome. Service was perfect and drinks were plentiful. A great night out. read more

I actually like this place for sushi - kinda strange that it is in a Holiday Inn. It is not Oishii quality but there are some tasty rolls.

I went for a birthday gathering. Our party took up 3 tables of 10, with only 1 waiter. Never had a problem trying to locate him. Very efficient! Can't wait to go back!! They had a buffet and believe me, I am not a fan of buffets but the food taste so fresh and the selection, although small, was just right. I also recommend this place if you ever just want to stop in and have a couple drinks and an appetizer. I had a Mai Tai and a Mango Mojito and they were SO DELICIOUS!! read more

The lunch buffet here is pretty amazing. For $13, you get all the usual suspects at a Chinese buffet plus some sushi made fresh at the bar (not made to order). Even though the selection seems somewhat limited at first, the quality really makes up for it. It would have been 5 stars if its not so expensive. read more

Been here twice for the lunch buffet, had a great experience both times! They have a good variety of options, but I wish there was more variety with the sushi. I love a good veggie roll, but I didn't see it out amongst the offerings. Tried the fried rice with brown rice today which was a tasty change. I love that the mixed veggies has baby bok choy- yum! The Vietnamese summer rolls were decent. I like when they have the individual bowls of edamame, but today they had shrimp cocktail instead. They charge for the hot tea, which I don't love, but the sugar sticks almost make up for it :) read more

This restaurant locates next to a Holiday Inn, the restaurant looks very upscaled upon the entrance. The overall setting is also nice inside. You could order either from the menu or so buffet. As we got seated, we asked about the price. It's funny that nobody could tell us how much is it for the buffet. One person said $16.95, and the other said $23.95. No information on was available anywhere on their website or inside the restaurant. The buffet has very very limited selection. There is a little corner at the back of the restaurant, where they have around 20 choices, most of the dishes are fried, and a couple dim sum. They are not really authentic at all. They do have cocktail shrimp and ginger ice cream which were pretty good. For this price, I definitely would not go back again. read more

A nice little restaurant in dedham. Was here on vacation and decided to stop by and glad that I did. Great service and even better food. The good is a little pricy but for good reason. Nice place, clean, professional, good english speakers. We come here for the lunch buffet. They have the usual Chinese food at buffets, but it tastes less oily and less fried than other places - in other words, not as bad for you. They also have a sushi section with real raw fish on the rolls, tuna, salmon. the sushi runs out pretty quick, and they aren't in a hurry to replenish it, but still, better than I'd expect. read more

I was a little disappointed when we arrived and saw a tiny room that was the buffet. I guess it is just small compared to other Asian buffets I've been to that have more than one room of food. The amount of vegetarian options was not very impressive and I don't think there was any vegetarian sushi either. Even so, we managed to stuff ourselves until I could barely walk, especially with that tub of green tea ice cream. I stayed at the Holiday Inn with my family and boyfriend this past weekend and I ate here once while my parents ate here twice. Sushi was excellent and fresh, their crab rangoons were AMAZING, and I had a cocktail called the "scorpion" which could've been enough for two people. Overall it was very delicious and the place was lovely. read more

The food was okay, but the service was altogether neglectful and almost nonexistent. I had never been here before but I heard good things so I invited a friend to come with me. We requested a table for two and were seated. The waitress asked us if we wanted drinks and I believe we both just ordered water. Then the waitress disappeared. My friend and I began talking and lost track of time. We realized 40 minutes later that we still had no food and had not seen our waitress since we arrived. As we looked around we noticed that everyone else had food... We were seated in the buffet area. We didn't know. We were never asked if we were there for the buffet or traditional dining. No one had explained to us that it was a buffet (being our first time, we did not know), and the buffet table was hidden behind a wall so we could not see it. By the time we realized that we needed to serve ourselves we had already been there for almost an hour, and none of the wait staff even noticed. Now, the food was good. I tried a little of everything (sushi, shrimp dumplings, some rice and beef/mushroom) and I remember being satisfied with what I had, but I definitely think the overall experience was lacking. read more

I've had dinner at this place a few times and had an enjoyable experience each time. They have a wide variety of chinese and japanese options. I've had many types of the sushi, the beef and broccoli and pork fried rice - all of which are really good. The general gau's is not very good though. I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for a table during dinner. Wait staff is pretty friendly although I did see one newbie spill stuff twice in one night. read more

The server was great. He did his best in taking care of all of our needs. I believe he would have been better if he had a bit more time to make us feel as if we were the most important thing in the restaurant. Just ordered take out from Bamboo. While the inside of the restaurant was attractive and it was very busy, the food was very disappointing. Two of the dishes, Pad Thai an Moo Shi were a poor excuse for the dish they were supposed to be. The other two tofu dishes were not half bad but they forgot to include rice with either dish. Overall, I would not recommend this place, especially for takeout where you can't send your food back. read more

There are better Asian restaurants in the area, but this one will do in a pinch if you don't know the neighborhood. It's right off of the junction of Route 1 and 95, so the location is pretty good. I expected the place to be a little seedy because of the neighborhood and proximity to the Holiday Inn, but the interior seemed very well decorated and clean. The staff did their job, but didn't go out of their way to please us or make us feel welcome. We felt like customers, not guests. Food (lo mein, chicken wings, crab ragoon, assorted sushi) was adequate. Sushi rice was slightly under cooked and portions were smaller than competitors for similar prices. Priced a little too high, but expected because of the location. read more
