A woman stepped in front of the gentleman who was settling the bill and told that I must tip more than I tipped and demanded me to tip at least 20%. I asked the woman who didn't identify herself to me "Are telling me the paying customer how much I have to tip?" She said "yes". So beware of this business practice that will I'm sure close the business down. I am a repeat customer of dozens of visits. I am an African American who is respectful and peaceful. I felt taken advantage of by the woman who demanded a higher tip because I was drained from a 30 minute massage and too relaxed to challenge her. When I arrived home I still didn't get over what I experienced. I am now going with another Spa from here on.

I have been going the The Art of Bodywork for about a year. I started off by getting foot massages,…read morethen progressed to full body massages. Keisha is one of the kindest, most peaceful people I have met most recently. She puts you at ease if you feel shy/uncomfortable. I had never had a full body massage in a parlor- only ones done by the Asian masseuses in the mall. This is not the same!!! It's one the most relaxing experiences of my life! Her hands were touched by God. She is educated on pressure points and kneading the stress knots in the neck and back. I couldn't have found anyone better than her to help me melt the stress of my job. The area isn't the very best, but it also isn't the most dangerous. There is a front parking lot. I suggest anyone to try their best to find parking there. If not, there is parking on the side street and in the back. The back lot is pretty rocky/unpaved, so the side streets are the next best thing. Besides that, please visit Keisha! She is the best masseuse in the city! You will not be disappointed.

So let's talk about my massage at Wellness Today Spa…read more The deciding factor to pick this place off of Groupon is when I saw one of my Yelp Elite VIP's recently visited in raved about this place. I purchased the 60 minutes wellness massage w aromatherapy, hot stones and body brush. This place is pretty easy to find, just be mindful that the business is on the front side of the building. Otherwise if you do parking in the back, you have the option to walk up the steps once indoors. As soon as I entered I was greeted by Toba. He was very pleasant and handed me forms to complete as well as took my temperature. I was led to a relaxation room to begin my experience. Toba began verbal consultation. Next, the massage experience. It was my 1st time w the body brush so I was low key excited. The aromatherapy, hot stones and body brush were excellent additions added to massage experience. Toba took his time and worked out all the stress I entered w. After session, I was greeted w a goodie bag and fantastic recommendations to assist w lower back pain as well as perfecting my posture. Job well done Toba.

I came here because I haven't been able to move my neck in a few days & this location was convenient. The one hour full body was $65 & I tipped $15. She asked if I wanted it on the card & I said yes. She said "is $20 ok" three times & each time i said $15. That's annoying because it wasn't worth the tip that I did give her. I was going to tell her $0 if she kept pushing. She also didn't want me to write the price on the receipt after I signed which sometimes means that they're going to add a tip later. I'm just going to keep an eye out on my card for a bit cuz it was a little sus to me. Other than that the staff was nice. The reason I decided to go was because the man that answered the phone was nice. I wouldn't go back for a massage but I did like that they stretch you. A strange thing, she massaged my face & did this scratch & pull thing to my hair. Didn't love those two but the massage was just ok. It is in a great location if you're running errands and don't have much time.

They had to bring someone back for break to accommodate us which was quite awkward. Also they are not very prudent and tend to talk about that client in-front of you which if they don't know you speak their language they are very comfortable doing. The massage itself was average not a lot of privacy and very loud outside the door which takes away from the experience of relaxing.

When we got there, it wasn't a couples massage as were put in separate rooms. Not a huge deal, it just made me feel like they said yes just to get our business. Needless to say, we went our separate ways and started to prep for our massages. My masseuse asked several times was I there for neck and back. My reply was for full body and after the third time, she understood and went to work. The massage itself, was ok. I tried to ask to adjust the pressure but due to a language barrier, she continued with a bit too much pressure. Between the hard massage bed and super heavy pressure, I was a bit uncomfortable at times. Overall, I didn't hate it. I just would have liked a real couples massage, a little less pressure which left me sore for days after, and a softer bed. Overall the price and experience was just ok. It was pretty clean, but it's likely I wouldn't go back.
