This is an absolutely wonderful local coffee and tea place. The service is always spectacular. As a tea lover, it's amazing to see so many different kinds of teas lining their wall! The choices seem endless! I was most excited that they were willing to make me London Fogs though it isn't explicitly on their menu. They also have lavender syrup which I highly recommend adding to the London Fog if you get it. Another fun experience was finding Jack Reacher coffee here. The coffee is based on a best selling book series and made perfect gifts. I've also had many delicious bagels at this place and they're great at making custom orders for breakfast bagels. Definitely recommend for the food and drink plus the lovely local feeling. read more

Visited Baltimore Coffee & Tea this past Labor Day. I usually share more photos than reviews unless something really strikes me but I wanted to share my wonderful experience here. I was waited on by Lindsey and Amanda and they were the absolute sweetest and made my experience that much more enjoyable. I didn't know what drink to get and Lindsey recommended an Arnold palmer with a strawberry flavoring and it was delicious. I also ordered a salad which was pretty decent as well. Not a big coffee fan in general, but if you like tea definitely check this place out!! read more

So many coffee options! We stopped by here to pick up some Baltimore themed gifts and I was wowed by their selection. They have coffee beans for every taste. What I really like is that they will do a pour over coffee for any of the different options. My favorite that I've tried is the Sumatra. They also have a wide selection of teas and various coffee/tea accessories. They were happy to make recommendations also! Overall I definitely recommend! read more

Great cafe in the middle of an industrial area. My toffee nut latte was good and the chocolate chip cookie was, too. It smells amazing in here and there's plenty of seating. There's also a good selection of Maryland made products. But what really wows is the coffee beans. At least at dozen varieties, all displayed with name/origin/flavor profile. Whenever I'm in Baltimore I make a point to get my coffee here. Just walking into the store the smell makes me feel like I arrived in coffee lovers heaven. I usually get a blend of Italian Roast and Espresso whole beans in a bag, mixed for me.. You can have them grind it for you, but I prefer to grind it at home. They also have tea, but what true coffee lover would care. Anyway, go to this place and enjoyed great coffee, a ,large variety of blends and flavors, and a great staff. read more

All the Avocado was bad, it had the dark color that correlates to decomposition. We loved coming here for breakfast, but now our appetite for this place has been reduced to nothing. read more

Since I am not very familiar with the area, I'm not quite certain of the rationale for this location, but regardless locals do appear to know and from my short time inside the store, frequent it in droves. I certainly understand why! Opening the front door your sense of smell is immediately tickled by the aroma of freshly roasted coffee. In each direction your visual senses are almost overwhelmed by the variety of coffees and teas available either in bulk or freshly brewed. There are a few tables to sit and cherish your purchase and wireless is available for those who wish to work or play in coffee heaven. I tried two of their brews while there - hazelnut and blueberry cream. The hazelnut was a bit lackluster in flavor, but the blueberry cream was wonderful. For the refill, I received a 40 cent discount for reusing my cup. While this place lacked some of the local character of an Indy coffee shop in bigger cities, it certainly is near the top of the heap in terms of the product delivered. I'm looking forward to testing other coffees during my visit here and encourage locals to take advantage of this coffee gem! read more

My wife and I come here at least 3 times a month and it's always great! You can order a latte off of their menu with no modifications and it isn't too sweet tasting, which is great because it beats the hell out of Starbucks. Staff was spectacularly bad this afternoon. While I waited at the left counter to purchase a pound of coffee, I watched one confused customer after another trying to figure out whose coffee was actually ready while nobody tended to the left counter. One staff member greeted a friend who walked in after I had been waiting for several minutes without service, then he proceeded to serve his friend. The owner committed to addressing the service issue. Although the service was terrible on this occasion, BTC offers excellent coffee with consistently high quality. read more

I come here a lot because it's right around the corner from my job and they do have fairly good coffee. They get my order right about half of the time and the baristas are all a tad odd (fitting, considering the customers are as well) which sort of adds to the charm. Baltimore Coffee and Tea is the preferred meeting spot for southern Baltimore County's slightly crazed, geriatric coffee lovers, so brace yourself. It's definitely a culture shock if you're accustomed to chic, millennial-oriented coffee shops like Ceremony or Artifact. The space itself feels like it was extracted from a quaint town in Vermont and plopped down in one of less-than-quaint Timonium's many industrial parks. It may not be the greatest coffee shop, but they have a good range of coffees, teas, and other baked goods. Don't go in expecting stellar ambience, but rather expect to revel in the oddness of the clientele. read more

Their service could be a little bit warmer, but overall this place is great. I'm not sure there's much like it around the DC metro area. There are sniffable bags of beans to your left, a roastery window to your right, and in front an array of hot drinks and hot food items. I haven't had the foods, but I was happy that they had a wide selection of decaf and regular coffees on their "Coffee of the Day" line--4 decaf and 4 regular, typically with half from each being some kind of flavored blend. They're self-serve, and they're happy to give you a tasting cup before you fill your cup--and I love that. I could appreciate (and not commit to a single one) the various types of roasts and flavors when I sipped them before pouring. Their French Roast is so nutty and rich and not acidic at all--a beautiful cup of which I am at this moment contemplating getting a take-home bag of beans! NOTE: About 1/3 or 1/2 of the beans can be purchased decaf. read more

!!! This is a great coffee shop !! The staff here is friendly and helpful. There are plenty of options for coffee, tea, baked goods, and a light lunch or breakfast (wraps, sandwiches, eggs, etc). There are several tables here if you wanted to eat in or do a little studying/work. This place has teas and coffee beans for days !!! So many different kinds to choose from and many that are imported. They have a good selection of coffee "hardware" too! The smell as you walk into this place is so smooth and inviting! We've stopped here twice now while we've had other business in the area and it's such a cute little place. It's hidden back in a warehouse area right around the corner from the habitat store. My boyfriend is the huge coffee snob, I'm just along for the ride and I'm not too picky. That being said, he loves their coffee and bought a bunch of beans. Their employees are super nerdy about coffee and know what they are talking about. I just ordered a tiger chai and wandered around looking at all of their million different teas while they talked shop with my bf. I've had the caprese panini but made the mistake of getting it on a croissant instead of normal bread so I won't make that mistake again! Baltimore Coffee & Tea is a great little coffee shop hidden just off York Road and situated conveniently right next to a light rail stop. They have lots and lots of coffee you can buy by the bag - lots. They have just as many boxes of tea lining the shelves, so even the most peripheral of tea drinkers can find something they like to take home. Coffee is of course the main attraction, and while you can get it by the bag you come to a coffee shop to get a cup of coffee and maybe hang out for a little bit. From the regulars we spotted there several days in a row, clearly many people come to do just that. They have several interesting coffees ready to go at any time, usually several decaf options, several flavored options, and mysteriously only one or two I would consider "regular"- you know, coffee flavored coffee? Oh well, they were fine. They have some fantastic oatmeal if you're in the mood for breakfast. It can be a little confusing as it comes with certain items and others are offered as extra toppings, but whatever, it's oatmeal. They have several pastries in a case to choose from, which look fancy but are pretty standard flavor-wise. They have several specialty sandwiches they offer which can be made with a choice of bread or wraps, and the combinations they offer make for an interesting sandwich every time. The location doesn't seem like much, but if you can find your way there it is certainly worth it. read more

The coffee here is amazing. The quality and variety of roasts is unmatched. This review doesn't consider that. I am reviewing the shop specifically as a coffee shop, for which it is below average at best. Their specialty drinks are below par, which is a disappointment considering the quality of the brew and espresso. I am writing this review today because I ordered their advertised (via a sign at the front door) iced pumpkin spice latte, which took a batista six minutes to make and was finished off with her sticking her hand in my drink to reduce an excess of ice. If the drink had been great, I would have dealt with it, but the latte had barely a hint of any fall flavor. I come here regularly and always enjoy their drip brews, but am always disappointed by their bar drinks and sparse food offerings. This location is also falling apart, e.g. warped woodwork and layers of dust and cobwebs. The newer Annapolis location that I also frequent at least covers this problem. Stick to the beans and you'll be pleased. read more

What is not to love about this place? The smell as soon as you enter this place is just amazing, fresh coffee beans! We were greeted as soon as we entered. They have something for every coffee lover could ask for, never knew there were so many kinds of beans! They also have a selection of different drinks that you can order and food. We ended up ordering some sandwiches and wow! Fresh, flavorful, and toasted perfectly. We will be coming back here soon to try out some of the different coffee drinks.
