This is a review for Tire Choice #936 (1250 Old Orchard Center). I had been going to this location…read morefor many, many years and, until the past two years when they seemed to have retention issues with employees, I had received great service/experiences. The first issue was when I contacted them for a specialty service and they quoted me $800. I called three other service stations in the area and received quotes for the same service between $300-$400. The second, and most important, issue I encountered was in Dec. 2025. After doing a lot of research on pricing, rebates, and interest-free options for a new set of tires, they had the best "bang for my buck" and I purchased a set from them in Dec. 2024. I left my car the day before with a note that stated the services needed and that this was to be interest-free and I would be receiving $300 in rebates. I received the rebates, but not the interest-free; which I did not find out until the twelfth month when I went to the credit card website to make sure I had a zero balance. I didn't so I paid it off. But then I thought, "If the transaction amount was under $1,000, I should have only made 10 payments, not 12.". So, I started looking at all of the statements and noticed I had been charged interest monthly. When I called the credit card company on Monday, December 29, 2025, it was stated to me that they were not able to refund the interest of $164.20. However, if I had contacted them after the first month, they would have been able to fix it. I had set the account up with auto payments on my first bill and thought the whole purpose of auto pay was to not have to worry about making payments or checking statements. Also, I did not think it would be necessary to check the statements as it was stated in a note and verbally during checkout this was to be a 12-month interest-free purchase. When I made the first payment, there was no interest. Then, I called and left a message at the store, but nobody returned my call. So, I sent a certified letter to the credit card company with all the information to be reimbursed and they only credited back the last two interest rates totaling $28.43. Seriously?!?! To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I contacted the store again and this time was able to talk to someone. They told me that it was the person who completed my transaction that made the mistake as they have to click the interest-free button. This employee said that he didn't know why the other employee didn't hit the button because he always does. Apparently, this was supposed to make me feel better. It did not. Again, told nothing they could do. I say all of this for 1) to get it off my chest - it really ticks me off to lose $130+ especially when I'm on a budget, 2) if you need any specialty work done, get several quotes, and 3) make the employee show you at the time of checkout that they've done the simplest task ever given to a human being and pressed the interest-free button. Thanks for listening.

They had good reviews, so I felt like I wouldn't be sold a bunch of "extra bs" because I am a woman. I was a little shocked at the price of an oil change on my vehicle ($150+) but because I had waited so long, that's on me. The waiting area is nice and comfortable, with clean restrooms. After my service was complete, they brought out my paperwork. According to them, my passenger axle was "busted", I needed all new tires and all new brakes. I just paid for my oil change and told them I would have my regular mechanic check everything out. When I went to check my paperwork, I noticed they had charged me for someone else's service! My regular mechanic also just replaced my brakes two months prior to this, rotated my tires and examined the tread, and then checked the supposed busted axle and found all of them to be fine and in working order. I'm not saying I wouldn't go back if I needed too, because the staff was friendly and respectful, but it is not going to become my regular shop.

2018-06 / June I…read moredrive a 2005 Chrysler that is now 13 years old. The odometer just turned over 100,000 miles... thanks to a short drive to the office the miles have accumulated slowly. The car's not fancy but is paid off and drives well... thanks to JB Auto. It's much better thanks to some recent repairs. They replaced the oil pan gasket, and now the small leak is gone from the garage floor (Goo Gone had cleaned the concrete just fine; I just wanted the leak to stop). That provided a side benefit that, removing the pan enabled all the oil and the grit and grime from the 100,000 miles to also leave the engine. Then we confirmed two of the three engine mounts were worn down, so JB replaced them, too. The car now runs and sounds smoooothe.... so nice. Thank you, JB Auto, for keeping the car running so well! 2017: Our car required no repairs for eight years, but a few these past couple years. After the last repair we explored trading-in for a new car. I wanted some more confidence in our decision. I knew J&B from driving past it, next to Ballwin City Hall, on a regular basis, but just hadn't called them until now. I explained that we just needed to make a "should we keep it or trade it in" decision. Grant helped get us scheduled quickly. Their review was a good one, thorough and competent. It happened to also provide good news... the car is incredibly solid now, and may just need a couple things as it approaches the 100,000 mile mark. That was comforting overall, and on the pocketbook. We look forward to returning to J&B as soon as we do need repair work and do recommend them to others, for their honesty and straight-forward way of making sure the cars we drive keep running. Thanks, J&B!

They basically just did not want to do the work even though I was willing to pay the price and then outright lied to me about how it had to be done. I went to Dobbs and watched the guy install both sets of rights in 30 minutes. I should have known better when my mom brought her 7 series of here and they wrote her seat controls and just told her these things happen. If they didn't want the work they should have been upfront and not gave me the run around
