Part of that was due to Kevin, who was always straightforward, honest, and good about explaining options without pressure. Since he has retired, my recent experience hasn't been the same. I brought my son's car in because the blower motor had stopped working. I was charged $160 for an evaluation and then quoted over $500 for the replacement. After looking into the repair myself, I learned that the blower motor for this model is easily accessible through the glove compartment and the part costs around $40 online. The job also does not require removing the dashboard, as I was initially told. I understand shops need to charge for labor and overhead, but the estimate I received felt significantly higher than expected given the actual complexity of the job. Because of that, I chose not to proceed with the repair. I'm sharing this so other customers know to double-check estimates and ask questions. My past experiences here were positive, especially when Kevin was still working, but this visit didn't reflect the level of transparency I had come to expect.

They yelled for me to turn the vehicle off. I was told the filter that's on there was bad and it's being replaced. Ok. After that I drove off. 3 days later my entire 5.7 liter hemi goes out! Pissed isn't the word. I call a tow guy who's also a mechanic he checked the oil. Said it was dangerously low. I called Valvoline instantly someone came out. Examined the car seen there were no leaks and then added 1.5 quarts of oil, apologized And left. Once I started the car I heard a bad sound from under the hood.. shorten this story. Took it to a shop they said the rods are blown. Caked Valvoline told them. They came and got a oil sample to send to a lab. 2 weeks Called me today to say they see issues and metals in the oil but non of it is because of anything they did. But how when you have me driving on low oil and now my truck is down. I lost my job. And now they are saying they won't even pay for this damage. Take my advice. NEVER EVER GO TO THIS VALVOLINE.
