Tires identical otherwise. Both included protection packages and free rotations. Independent tried to sell alignment at time of quote. Plaza showed me the print out after installation showing alignment was perfect, and thus unneeded. Entire transaction was completed in less than an hour by a courteous staff. The independent would have had to order and installation would have been a minimum of a two-day wait.

Went in for a free lifetime alignment and left with $1100 of overpriced tie rod ends, but they didn't mention the other $4000 in components (upper and lower front control, arms, sway bars, rear upper control arms) that also needed to be replaced a couple months later. Another occasion took a car in for oil change that was running roughly, but I was going to work on it and did not want them to do anything about it. They called to let me know it needed $1600 for three coil packs. Right before taking it there I put a scanner on the car and I knew it needed one coil pack so I picked it up because I knew they were lying and I took it to AutoZone and put it on their scanner and it only needed one coil pack. Then I took it to a real repair shop where they replaced one coil pack and it ran perfectly.

So I called Roy's because they were right by where I was dead. I'm glad I did :) I didn't have anything but nice employees through this whole process. They were able to very quickly (dropped it off on a Thursday expected for a Monday/Tuesday appointment...I get a call Friday afternoon with an update! I know that's not the norm, but I'll take it ). Couple hundred miles on so far, no issues outside of the ones that were already there lol. I'll be bringing our fleet to these guys moving forward. Thank you guys for the great experience! Third time here since I bought my tires from them this past January…read more Nice guys and service seems fine but they are sooo slow! They seem to be very understaffed. They have a steady stream of customers coming through the doors all the time. I should know, I've sat here for hours waiting for them to complete service on my vehicle. This time I had an appt to fix a leaky tire - they found a nail- and a state inspection. They got to the nail right away but now 90 minutes waiting here, they still haven't started my inspection. If you consider trying them I'd suggest dropping your vehicle rather than waiting. If you're in a hurry it may be a frustrating experience. The last time I was here, I had an appt for wheel alignment. My spot was pushed back 90 minutes after I arrived. They said they were shot handed. They finally completed their work 3.5 hours later. I still trust them more than those weasels over at Dobbs though.... UPDATE- Ok, after almost two hours I'm done. The guys finished off great and were highly professional. I feel guilty for complaining. I don't believe the slow service is because of the employees. Management needs to review their staffing needs and adjust. The front desk guys and service techs are fantastic!

I had to call near the end of the day, only to be told they didn't have an inspector available and that they would need to keep the car another day. Again, the next day, there were no updates. I had to call myself and received the same response. We didn't get our vehicle back for over 72 hours, despite never being warned this could happen. When we finally got it back, we were told it failed safety inspection and supposedly needed around $1800 in repairs, plus new tires and a laundry list of other expensive work. The more we questioned it, the more the story changed. Suddenly it became we "just needed brake pads." The employee talked in circles, contradicted himself multiple times, and when we expressed frustration over them keeping our car for three days without warning, his response was, "I'm sorry I guess." Neat...super professional. We replaced the brake pads elsewhere and returned for the reinspection. Would you look at that, there were now different issues that conveniently required more repairs through them leading to once again the vehicle not passing. I would like those minutes of our life back between the complete lack of communication, professionalism, changing explanations, and endless expensive repair "recs". We will never be back, and I would advise no one else go there with their vehicle unless you'd like to donate some of your kids college fund to them.
