These guys are a total scam. I brought my laptop to them, because it wouldn't power on. The little…read morelight on the keyboard wouldn't even illuminate, which means that the power from the AC outlet isn't being transmitted to the motherboard. I've worked in IT for 30-years and knew the exact problem with my laptop, before bringing to this company. I just don't have the tools to directly soldier onto the motherboard, which is what this computer needed to be fixed. They kept my laptop for 2 days, before telling me that I needed to pay them $225 for a new battery, but the battery on this laptop works fine and even if the battery was bad, I should still be able to power this laptop on and use it, which I can't. If I followed their diagnosis and allowed them to charge me too much for a battery, then the laptop would have worked long enough for me to pay their $225 bill, but a few hours after the repair, when the charge runs out of the new battery, the laptop would stop working and I'd have to carry it back to this company to ostensibly do another root-cause analysis and charge me too much money again, because they never addressed the root cause of the problem which is that no power is getting to the motherboard to either start the computer or charge the battery. I don't want these people touching my computer, since they know less about the issue than I do. They still required me to pay $53 for a diagnostic fee to get my laptop back, which is ridiculous, because their diagnosis is wrong. They tried to scam me and when I got the computer back, the case is not even fully put back together and there are screws missing from the laptop. I initially refused to pay for a bad diagnosis, but they refused to return my laptop, unless I paid, so I recanted to be able to reclaim my laptop. It doesn't cost me anything to file a civil suit against this company, so they haven't heard the last from me.

He told us the repair would take 3-4 days, but it ended up dragging on for weeks with multiple delays. Eventually, he shipped the computer back to me without my permission, and it arrived with the stand broken and the fan still unfixed. He said he would come fix it once the new fan came in, but after waiting over a month with no resolution, I finally gave up and ordered the fan and a new stand myself and had someone else complete the repairs. Incorrectly formatted web page text display can be deciphered to reveal units are new open box items. (Pic attached) Customer experience: Site touts "Free Shipping 1-2 days" Placed order on Feb 20. Selected option extra $7.50 for "Ship Today", expecting shipment that day. Checked order status on Monday Feb 22. Order status page returned strangely worded response "Order didn't shipped now." Called customer service: "We don't work on Saturday so thus not shipped then, will ship today. When pressed, they offered to refund the $7.50 for the misleading "Ship Today" charge - refund still missing a month later. Checked status page 2 days later - same goofy message. Called again: Rep claimed: "Item has actually shipped." NOPE. Not true. Next day noonish Fedex finally showed "info received - awaiting item." Item eventually arrived at Fedex 9 hours later. It took another 5 days for the damaged and taped up box to show up. So much for "Free Shipping 1-2 days". Item was not damaged, but for a "new" unit it had a few suspicious clues. As I was struggling to carry the fairly heavy device it suddenly came to life - display lit and fan running! The battery connector that the installation instructions shows requires connection as part of the initial setup was already connected. The LCD was pretty scratched up. The case label shows a date code of 2017 and the box has a "Return to vendor" label from 2018 with an entry claiming "Defect v status". The unit does work. It is able to supply its fully rated 1350va. The fan is a bit loud even at no load. Beware the Astroturf reviews. None, however, have been as good as Warren Harris at dfwci.com. He is always on time, knows exactly how to identify and fix the issue and does it in a timely manner without padding his time. Our laptop went down and I was afraid everything was lost.. Took it to Warren's office and a day later it was working well again and no data was lost. If I'm effusive in my praise it's because Warren is the BEST with whom I have ever worked. Extremely happy that we found him through Next Door Neighbor and will only use Warren for all our computer needs.
