This master planned community located an Orlando is a mixed use area near Downtown and bordering Winter Park. Baldwin Park has been transformed into a tranquil, primarily residential community with palm tree lined streets featuring quaint cafes and restaurants, bars, businesses and shops. With two lakes as focal points, the area also offers Blue Jacket Park, home of a he RTC Orlando Memorial, as well as a walking and cycling along Cady Way Trail. This area was formerly the site of a sprawling Naval Training Center.

Baldwin Park offers a great walking trail with even better views! The trail is perfect for biking, walking, running, or whatever your heart desires. The area also features delicious restaurants and shops.

The town of Baldwin Park is one of the cutest towns I lived-in on my journeys. I feel like everything in this town is just perfectly laid out like a square, and I LOVE squares!! You can find some of the BEST top notch restaurants, barbershops, and candy stores here. This is also a GREAT town to "Happy Hour Hop It" because each bar/restaurant offers TERRIFIC happy hour deals at DIFFERENT TIMES. Yelp! tip- look online beforehand to see the various Happy Hour times. I also want to give a shout-out to the super swanky COMMUNITY POOL, for residents of the neighborhood ONLY ( see pics). I meant some great people in this town, and it reminds you of that cookie cutter suburban life you grew up in as a kid. Then of course there are those moments were your like- "where them single people at?". Memories Under the Stars, as you then make your way back home through a long winding trail around Lake Baldwin right back to OZ. Now, I can promise you there were no flying monkeys on my way back, just one one resilient wizard. Overall, this is a great town to raise a family, and if you want that relationship in suburbia Desperate Housewives neighborhood sort of thing. Plus, if you get mad, your just one skip away from a cocktail.

What's not to like? 2.5 mile multi-use trail, amazing scenery, and the trail takes you through a waterfront park. They have a dog park. I've been here twice and really like the place. There is ample free parking by the dog park.

Baldwin Park Trail's a scenic 2.5 mile public loop around the lake of the same name that sews together several parks including running through Lake Baldwin's Harbor Park; where Lake Baldwin's village/city center opens up to the water front. Among several other smaller parks, it also runs through a dog park (one of the area's best) and Orlando's Veterans' Memorial Park. It also connects to Blue Jacket Park by way of Upper and Lower Park Roads with a nice wide open common grassy space between them and connects with the Cady Way Trail as well. Lots of people use the trail throughout the day for all sorts of reasons and it crowds up from time to time, especially weekends or during one of many events stemming out of Harbor Park. Not one of the friendliest trials, people tend to keep to themselves. There's all manner of urban wildlife including birds and rabbits and such. Lots of ducks, doves, cardinals, scrub jays, egrets, gulls, herons, swamp turkeys, cormorants, and an occasional osprey or loose dog. Bats at dusk. Baldwin's nothing short of an engineering marvel. While everything looks so nice and new and natural, Baldwin's actually a massive land reuse project re-engineering what was once our former Naval Training Center here into a mixed use master planned community. Over 200 buildings, 20 miles of roads, and 200 miles of underground utilities were raised and removed and cleaned up to remake the area into what it is today. There's a few really good articles out there if you look for them. Lots of historic aerial photography too. Beware of aggressive Tour de France inspired cyclists cutting through pedestrian traffic like it's their own personal high speed velodrome - I've clocked some over 22 mph!! Dangerous.

Baldwin Park is a very nice area. Another one of the cool areas where you can grab a bite to eat, a drink with friends or simply hang out along the lake and enjoy nature. I first discovered this area by attending the Orlando Sentinel Annual Bark And Brew Yappy Hour and I've been hooked every since. The grub options vary from burgers (Five Guys) to sushi (Sieto's) and from Mexican cuisine (Colibri's) to good ol' fashion gator bites/American (Gator's Dockside). Thrown in the mix are various bars (e.g. Uptown Bar) and venues that offer happy hour specials and/or live music. If you head up New Broad St., just beyond Seito's, you find a cool little fountain. You can hang out here, enjoying sweet treat like ice cream or iced tea. There seems to always be plenty of free parking whenever I go and I like hanging out in Harbor Park -- the area just long the lake's edge. In the distance, there is a pretty good view of Fleet People's Park, yet another awesome place just over 0.5 miles away. I'm convinced that the sidewalk is a biking/walking/jogging/skating path that goes the circumference of the lake, which, if I'm right, is pretty darn school. I hope to walk or bike the path one of these days. Overall, I think that the intersection of New Broad and Jake Streets provides a really place to hang out and snag some serenity in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the big City.

I came to the Baldwin Park area as a "First Friday" event popped up on my Yelp Events page and the description sounded like it would be tons of fun. I like supporting local artisans, and from the description it sounded like there would be a variety of goods being sold, so decided to check it out and came here directly after work. We lucked out finding a street parking spot 3 blocks away from the park and so it was cool walking down and seeing all the Christmas lights - I especially thought the huge stars hanging from the trees were quite beautiful. It was pretty dark, so I really didnt see much of the park at all, but I loved how the neighborhood has been laid out, in a really lovely residential and commercial mixed use pattern. It was easy to walk around the street and see the tables set out (apparently it costs $20 per table for the vendor) and the variety (pesto, granola, honey) was nice. Lots of samples of the food, plus a DJ playing cool tunes. The local Chamberlin's store had a table too and they were giving out a flyer with a great $10 of $40 coupon. Plus they curate a selection of items from the store which are discounted and sold here e.g. a bottle of lavender oil is $5 instead of $8. My other favorite vendor was the guy selling raw local honey!! $25 for a good size jar - try the Saw Palmetto - it's got a robust, darkly distinctive taste and his table was located right next to the Chamberlin's. Also, pretty much all vendors take credit cards so no excuses that you don't have cash. I enjoyed my evening and will definitely return back again for another wander thru the neighborhood. It's a shame that I have to downgrade my rating for this beautiful community. I jog on this trail 3 or 4 times a week. Someone seriously needs to police the cyclists or ban them altogether along with the skaters. I have been screamed at by aggressive cyclists going at Tour de France speeds to move out of the way. Even though I keep myself as far right possible. Somehow they expect you to walk/jog on the grass. They don't give fair warning, they yell at you when they're on your back. 2 stars for the scenic view and nice houses...

I moved to Baldwin Park about a month ago, and I love every aspect of it! EVERYTHING is within walking distance, from Publix to an OBGYN (haven't been there yet, but I hear good things.) Seriously though, next door I have a bike shop, a sushi place, a wine shop, etc...I have no reason to get in my car (except work, unfortunately). And Baldwin Lake is beautiful. My work hours allow me to spend my mornings biking around the lake, which during the weekdays is perfect. My boyfriend is bringing our kayaks down this week, and I look forward to being able to walk out my front door and drop my kayak in! To be completely honest, the weekends do get a little busier than I'd prefer, but it's a beautiful place, and it'd be crazy to expect anything but. (and honestly, it's not too bad, I still manage to bike around the lake on the weekends without too much interference). Also, parking is first come first serve...which potentially worries me, but for the month I've lived here I've only had one instance where I've had any kind of a hike. I am originally from Ocala, and because of it was hesitant to move to Orlando...stereotypically I was afraid of the traffic, tourists, crime, etc. Living in Baldwin Park shelters me from all of that, and I couldn't be happier!

This was my first time in Baldwin Park, even tho I have lived in Central Florida for years I have always wanted to check this community/town or you can even call it a miniature city. The place reminds me off Celebration with nice three story homes and a clean place with a park and a lake and even a school not to also mention business and even a very nice Publix. I would love to one day live here, it is so quit and family friendly. Perfect place to raise a family and you have many places near by including local business but also the airport is only 8-9 miles away and there is malls and other place to go near by. Lake Balwdin is a nice lake in the community to relax or take a walk and there is even a gazebo that goes out in to the lake. This has to be one of my favorite community's in Central Florida and from my research it is one of the trendiest community's in Central Florida meaning many people want to live here or like living here. Two thumps up to this community and it would be nice to see more like this being built in the future around Florida.

This nearly six acre park, in Winter Park, provides both natural beauty and recreational opportunities. One of the nicest features of this park is the playground that was rebuilt in 2021 by Kompan Design with input from area residents. This playground was designed to improve physical, cognitive, creative, and social development while fostering imaginative play and friendships. Other park amenities include basketball courts, tennis courts, pavilions available for rental, restrooms, picnic tables, and outdoor fitness equipment. There are also two hardcourts for pickleball. This park is fully fenced for safety and is beautifully landscaped and it is close to downtown Winter Park where you can find shopping and dining options. This park is the perfect place for a morning stroll, a birthday party, play, or a picnic. Phelps Park appeals to all ages. Community Parks don't come much nicer than this one.

The 1955 little league season was the first after US Supreme Court rulings had eliminated "separate but equal" conditions in the nation's schools and public parks. The Pensacola Jaycees were declared winners of their local district by Little League headquarters in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. When local officials would not allow them to play against the all-white teams they instead advanced to the Florida State Tournament which was held at Lake Lorna Doone Park. They ended up losing to host Orlando in the second round, 5-0 but they were welcomed by the hometown crowd and given encouragement. In 2021, 12 acre Lake Lorna Doone Park underwent an $8 million renovation.
