First time here, and I absolutely love it! Beautiful scenery, great restaurants and everything else it has to offer! It has its own feel, vibe and look to it! I can't wait to come back and do some nature runs around the area! It's a great place to bring your dogs, relax, read a book, and get a snack! read more

Baldwin Park - Blue heron - Parks Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Recently I was given a different a family's perspective of the narrowness streets within the neighborhood. To me, a non-resident and non-parent, it seems like an annoyance when you are trying to park or navigate through. But if you look at it from a different angle, it can be seen as helpful. Because you do not have much room, it causes you to slow down as you drive which is very welcome for any parent with small children. They see the small streets as a safeguard for wandering and energetic kids. So maybe that was a purposeful intention on the planner's part to adhere to their committment of being a neighborhood oriented community. read more

This was an amazing dog park. Great location by the lake. Even a spot to wash your dog after a romp in the lake. Just don't for get your own doggie shampoo. I can't say enough, we loved it and so did Georgie;) we had to drag him out!!! I have to mention Paddy Murphy's. This is an amazing pub in Baldwin park that you can't miss. In the middle of a major thunderstorm, the restaurant found a safe, dry place for me and Georgie to hang out on the patio. Very dog friendly and the most amazing fish and chips!!! Haven't had such great fish and chips in forever. read more

Love the planned community. If you're moving from out of town, this is the place to be b/c it seems like more than 75% of the folks here are not from Orlando originally and folks are generally friendly (there are a few bad apples, but there always are). It IS pricey, but you get what you paid for. The pools, playgrounds, our own downtown, and easy access to downtown....there is a reason folks want to live here. read more

Multiple bad experiences with aggressive dogs and owners not watching their pets. I witnessed a greyhound get its side completely ripped off exposing his organs. The lake water also tends to cause stomach problems with my pup. On a side note there is plenty plenty of room to run around. read more

Great location and they have so many shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. If you want to hit up downtown or Winter Park, it's just a quick drive. The neighborhood is well manicured and the facilities are well maintained. read more

This is a wonderful planned community, a polar opposite to the rest of Orlando which unfortunately can only be described as unplanned urban sprawl. It is a walking community and bike and pet freindly. While I don't live here, I love to travel the paths and enjoy the lake and the architecture. My only issue, and it is a small one, things seem a bit cramped here. read more

I love this park very clean and nice. It's a hidden gem. The doggy park is awesome as well.

The park itself has a gorgeous waterfront view and is along the the Cady Way Trail. Several boardwalks lead out to pagodas on the lake which are nice places to hang out. My dog loves it here! The assortment of restaurants that are at your disposal before or after hanging out here seems ever-changing - I've heard due to high rents in the area - but there are always good choices. For those of us who are Baldwin Park non-residents, parking is getting harder to find near the park, which is why I'm giving this 3 stars instead of 4. There's limited street parking, but the big parking lot that used to be available now has condos or apartments being built on it. I get that this is a planned community by and for the residents rather than the "rest of us" but it's harder for me to justify coming here on the weekends if I have to drive around for ages to find a spot. read more

Probably the best park in the city. The overall area is beautiful. No matter how many people are there, it never really feels over crowded. There are plenty of different places to park all for free. The restaurants and stores in the area are all top notch. Overall, this is definitely one of the nicest areas in town and a great way to spend an afternoon. read more

Baldwin Park is one of the best communities in Orlando. It's central to everything, has parks, stores, restaurants, entertainment, what more could you ask for? There are good schools in the area also. It's very dog friendly, and close to the dog park. I love it at Baldwin Park. read more

Baldwin Park - Dog Park - Parks Near Me - Orlando, Florida

My favorite little park in the Winter Park area! I frequently go on bike rides around the park on the trail and it's always buzzing with joy-families on walks together, people walking their CUTE dogs, couples looking at the lake together. It really has a lovely community feel to the park and it's in the perfect location. The dog park, named "Friends of Baldwin Park" (the sweetest name for a dog park!!!) is a wonderful place where dogs can run, play, and swim under the huge oak trees. There's even a designated dog trail in the fenced in area for you and your dog friend! There's plenty of parking next to the dog park and the trail is large and inclusive to many different activities; running, strolling, dog walking, biking, rollerblading, riding your Razor scooter, anything! This park is just such a wonderful part of Orlando! I live in Oviedo but I will drive the 20 minutes just to visit this place. read more

Beautiful area with quite a few geocaches to search for nearby. Nice, quiet area with friendly people. Need to come again soon and explore it some more. I just passed through on my way to Lineage Coffee shop. read more

This is a great area, honestly. I happen to work in Baldwin Park. I've always felt safe when leaving in the evening. To live here, it's expensive, to be brutally honest. But it's a wonderful place to walk, get exercise, meet friends, to work, meet friends, etc. read more

LOVE living in Baldwin Park!!! such an awesome place for families!! So many things to do and very clean. Easy access to all toll roads and so many fun events to partake in. read more

The park out here is nice for walking and taking nice strolls. I didn't see a play area here for the kids but there are plenty of trees and grass to sit on. Picnics here would be nice due to a wonderful big lake view. I would come here again if in the area to try to restaurants around the area. read more

Baldwin park is one of my best waking places. There used to be a nice ice cream store near the lake. Unfortunately, it was closed a few months ago. read more

Baldwin Park - Baldwin park - Parks Near Me - Orlando, Florida

This is the most contrived community in America in an area void of character and culture and desperately searching for an identity. Take land on a depressed Navy Base and throw up cheap chinese drywall cookie cutter homes with zero lot lines and try to make the homes look like New England. The problem is the land is flat and ugly with no tree in all of Baldwin Park bigger than 15 feet tall. It fails horribly. Aren't we lucky we have our own Town Center, with guess what? A Publix. We pay all that money to say we live in Baldwin Park and we get to shop at Publix. Newsflash, so does everyone else in Florida. read more

Great area to visit and run around Lake Baldwin. They also have Blue Jacket Park to take the kids for a bike ride, fly a kite, or just have a nice picnic. Restaurants are nice and plenty of housing available on the upper end of the price scale compared to surrounding areas. The only downside is occasional dog droppings everywhere including the sidewalks. Some of the shops are pet friendly and this community has a large amount of pet owners. A great number of banks in the area along with a nice Publix grocery store. read more

I live in Baldwin Park, so I am biased. When I moved here I was concerned about it being a real neighborhood, but my neighbors are fantastic. Everyone is friendly, and it seems we all enjoy the parks, amenities and the village center. read more

I took my dog to this park and he enjoyed it! The lake is big and beautiful. It was cute to watch all the dogs run free, play, and swim in the water. There are trees and shade so you can go during the day time and not get too hot. It was busy and a lot of ppl seem to enjoy going there. Next time I will bring the shampoo to hose my dog. There is a huge picnic table and shade to sit under too for lunch break. read more

Absolutely gorgeous. All the things you can do here: walk your dogs, exercise by jogging/walking/biking/rollerblading, work off baby fat by pushing your wee one in a stroller and jogging or walking (have seen so many do this!), impress you significant other by bringing them to this gorgeous destination, take the nature trails, eat at delicious food places like sushi joints/gators dockside/five guys burgers/ or bella luna pizza, get massages or your nails done half way through your walk around the lake, observe all the beautiful housing that you dream you could someday own, watch the sunrise or set, go golfing next door, find a quiet patch of green and meditate, and the list goes on. This park is hands down one of the most stunningly beautiful places in Orlando to relax and feel at peace with yourself and nature. read more

I love this park and neighborhood. I'm not just saying this because I'm a resident, I've felt this way even before moving here! Great place to live, work, and play. Unfortunately I only live and play here, have to work somewhere else. I love the publix and CVS. There are also some decent restaurants - Seito being my favorite! Gators and Colibri are also great for casual dining. Friendly subway and a few pubs - Caddyshanks and Uptown wine. Bike and pedestrian friendly. Schools nearby for the little ones. Friendly neighbors. I'm a fan!! read more

This is a very nice quiet nature walk/run/bike ride for those who like to get outdoors and get some fresh air. It's about 2.5 miles around Lake Baldwin and very easy to find. Shops and beautiful homes surround the area, along with a beautiful setting of trees and the lake. read more

Great for walking around. There are restaurants, a Publix grocery store, CVS pharmacy, and a track around the lake to walk/run/bike.

Super awesome neighborhood. I'm a little partial so i won't waste my time. Check it out and tell me otherwise.

What a great dog park! Very large space for your pup's to run around. A large beach section for them to swim in. Benches for you to rest on, and plenty of shaded areas. Best perk is the wash station for you to clean your dirty pup's. Four stains with spray hoses and a raised bench for the little ones to set on. Down fall is that not many pick up bags are provided. They do provide them you might have to travel a little in order to get one. read more

Lexie is amazing! She gave my 5 year old with curly hair the princess treatment. Lexie was patient, kind and so sweet to us. This salon is very lucky to have such skilled and personable staff member who made our visit so special and memorable. We can't say enough about her. If I can give more than 5 stars I would because that's how great she was. read more

Spent the early part of the morning on a 3 mile walk for American Diabetes. Baldwin Park is as beautiful as always.

Lots of cute shops and a variety of places to eat.

Great area, and my running group runs around BP all the time. Definitely one of my favorite areas in this part of town. Great for walking around or biking as well. read more

It is not that bad, I give it 3 stars simply because the place is friendly but its not so LGBT friendly, and people seem to treat you differently if you have a different opinion. You can tell that most people that live here can't afford it and by most I mean 99% out of 100% of the people. I think its one of the most vile places on earth because all of the restaurants are overpriced big time even the coffee is over priced. I have lived here forever and I still do live here but our family is moving to a mansion in like 2 years thank God. I really find it disgusting to live here, my car has some LGBT stickers on it and I don't know if I got scratched for that but some low life scum keyed my car for expressing my views on my own property. I don't recommend anybody to live here I recommend you guys to run for the hills its a total Shiiit Stain. The only reason I have lived here for years is because I didn't have much of a choice considering that I depend on my parents I am 19 years old now but we came here like 9 years ago I think. Is this place better then most places in Orlando, the answer is yes so that is why I give it 3 stars, anyways I hope you find a better place then this, Winter Park area is nicer, depending on what part of winter park but most of the winter park area is gorgeous, LGBT Friendly, no one is going to key your car, shit like that. Hope you guys make the right choice. read more

This is a beautiful community EXCEPT for the lake. We were just there last Sunday visiting my brother, having dinner at one of the restaurants. Our children wanted to walk by the lake. The stench from the lake was so bad, we had to leave right away. It was so dirty and disgusting. read more

Baldwin Park - Parks Near Me - Orlando, Florida

After 9 years, we finally said good bye to Baldwin Park. We'll miss it. We had a second home here, and we enjoyed our time. Baldwin Park is a great neighborhood for families and singles. There are more restaurants now, and a neat brew pub where they make their own beer on site. The setting is great. We loved walking around the lake, and we loved the dog park, even though we didn't have a dog while we were in BP. It's expensive as Orlando housing goes. But it's close to Winter Park and downtown Orlando. Unfortunately, it's expensive to live here. There are fees on top of fees. Taxes are double here compared to what I pay up north. You pay city and county taxes, a fee for something Florida has that most states don't called a CDD fee. The fee allows cities and counties to offload their costs onto new residents, even though they rake in a ton of taxes from the new residents. Locals get tax breaks that out of staters don't. Unless you plan to become a Florida resident, and spend more than 6 months here, a second home in Florida is much too expensive. Employees in the stores are all very friendly. Publix is a great grocery store, although it's little small. There are still a lot of vacant store fronts, and vacant commercial land. I'm not sure they will ever be built out or leased out. There is a lot of new development coming to the old Fashion Square Mall and Ivanhoe Village, which will make living here even more interesting, and close by. The Mills 50 district is attracting a lot of new local restaurants. All in all, BP is a great place to live if you are a local or a snow bird who wants to spend most of your time in Florida. read more

I may be one of the only ones who gives Baldwin Park 5 stars but I have my reasons. Its quaint little village like atmosphere with sprawling homes and upscale main streets remind me of my northern roots. Something very few communities in Florida do. It has a north eastern feel, minus some of the stucco and tile homes. I love it here. And this coming from a self proclaimed urbanista. I know some may compare Baldwin Park to Stepford but I really don't get a creepy vibe at all. In fact I get the vibe that life here in this Baldwin bubble is perfect, its own little Mayberry. And from what I've seen and heard of the residents they wouldn't disagree. Its an all inclusive community with everything from dry cleaners, cute boutiques, an authentic Irish pub, to sushi. Every afternoon you will find beautifully dressed sophisticated yuppies of Seito Sushi sitting and chatting enjoying their carefree lifestyle. I'm not sure why the people of Baldwin don't seem to have jobs, but they don't. C'mon people, now who could resist the urge to live that kind of lifestyle? Where picking which Max Mara blouse and Theory slacks to wear while meeting the girls for brunch was really the most trying decision of the day. I'm sure you're thinking this is must be an exaggeration, but after a short stint working there I really feel like this was the case for a good many residents. Plus its clean and finely manicured there, a trait so much of Orlando is lacking. And its always sunny with a high of 75. Okay, so that might have been an exaggeration. But if you haven't checked out this little Orlando community just northeast of downtown do it, and see for yourself. read more

I'd be creeped out if I lived in a neighborhood that got Yelp reviews. The dog park is cool, but other than that, this place is built on toxic land and all the kids will have weird growths in 10 years. The houses all look the same, if you want real Orlando charm, head over to Delaney. read more

I love this place!!! The restaurants, gym, park, stores!! It's awesome!!
