    Olive on a pack walk
    Dennis M.

It's sad to see a group of adults harass and attack a dog trainer/lover. Brandon has trained my small maltipoo multiple times along with his pack and I have always had a great experience with training and pack walks. Like most different or new techniques people will disagree, but the dogs Brandon has are in great spirits and caring hands. I have never seen them get aggressive with other people or dogs. Thanks again from me and olive.

Happy pups listening to commands and getting to be off leash (:

Brandon is a wonderful person who knows everything there is to know about dogs. He approaches his training with such a great philosophy. My boyfriend has been friends with Brandon his whole life and he used Brandon's philosophy to teach his pit bull to listen to commands and be able to be off a leash. Brandon has taught to me about how to do this for my Standard Poodle and I have been able to teach my dog how to listen to commands and stay by me without a leash. I believe that dogs should be able to have their freedom but still remember who remains in control and Brandon is a wonderful teacher of this concept.

Brandon has been doing an awesome job training our Sasha. We are learning how to walk without pulling (which is nearly impossible for a husky). He's also boarded her a couple of times and she loves it w him, she gets to play w other dogs and get good walks. I highly recommend him!

So much so that just over a month ago, we dropped off our four month old Doberman/Corso Millie; we're now thrilled to have her back and smoothly transition into our pack! It's not just the one-on-one that is great while socializing w their Belgian Malinois, him and his wife put together an AMAZING take home training guide that helps you carry on w the training and pack-life transition. We look forward to continue taking our pups to breweries, farmers markets, community festivals and all of the things we love to do as a family, all thanks to Rayo's K9 Academy and the foundation they built for us. Raymond's training program was very thorough & we are very grateful for this program. Our dog Koda was 10 months old when he started the training program he had aggressive tendencies & would always require being carried into his kennel at night time for bed. When it came to walking our dog that wasn't even an option he wouldn't let us put a leash on his neck. After the training program with Raymond for five weeks, we saw significant changes. We were actually able to take him on walks & put a leash on him. When given a command he walks into his kennel without any issues. We highly recommend Raymond's training program.

Unsettling experience, I wouldn't recommend Mountain Shadow to my worst enemy, be aware!…read more While the website and puppy photos present a polished image, my direct interactions were the opposite. Communication was often rude, aggressive, and intimidating. When my dog approached 6 months, the breeder began contacting me repeatedly, 3 times a day, via email, phone calls and DRIVE BYS regarding the spay requirement they spring on you only after you already paid them and met the puppy. The volume and persistence of the contact escalated significantly numerous phone calls per day, emails, and unannounced appearances parking in front of my house. On several occasions, I was followed while taking my dog to the dog park. Due to the intensity of the situation, I rushed to have my dog spayed earlier than planned. I also contacted the police because I did not feel safe. After the procedure was completed, the car parked in front of my house with a disturbing and intimidating appearance and demeanor driver missing teeth stopped. I fully understand and respect contractual agreements. However, harassment, intimidation, and surveillance are not appropriate or legal ways to enforce a contract. The experience was stressful and frightening, especially as a parent with small children. My experience not only crossed those lines, the puppy has several health issues at only 2 years of age, showing painful patella issues and most recent of unfortunately he may have some serious brain damage and mandibular problems too which we'll uncover the specifics pretty soon after several thousands spent in vet visits and surgeries. BE AWARE, RUN!

If I could give Jonathan more than 5 stars, I definitely would!!! My dog, Deku is almost 5 and he…read moreis a good dog, but usually only with family. Deku is a terrier/chihuahua mix and he is also very stubborn/bratty. Deku is/was a very reactive towards mainly strangers & random noises due to him having anxiety (he even takes anxiety pills especially when going to the vet). Deku also had problems with pulling when walking. I know it's mainly the owner's fault to get your dog like this, but this is something I had a hard time fixing myself, even with all the research I have been doing and implementing for Deku. So for a long time, I have been wanting to train and board Deku and have been exploring who to go to, but Jonathan was the trainer I chose for Deku and he was absolutely AMAZING with Deku. Deku's transformation has me and my family so amazed and we are just so happy with how great Deku has turned out from this train/board process with Jonathan! I know Jonathan does not have many Yelp reviews, but the only reason why is because he is new on Yelp. I was a bit skeptical of this at first, but I did my research and have seen pictures/testimonials of the previous dogs he's trained before. He's the real deal! The first step of my process was doing consultations with different trainers to really see who I could trust more and I ultimately chose Jonathan because even during the consultation, he was so very understanding and communicative of Deku/Deku's problems and was explaining to me the ways we can tackle some of Deku's issues. Even with just the consultation, I already saw a difference in some of Deku's issues from the training tips he gave me. About 2 weeks later, I took Deku to board and train with Jonathan for 3 weeks. 3 weeks without your pup is so hard, but what helped was that Jonathan would give me pictures/videos of Deku and his growth being with him. From showing me Deku's lowest of being unfriendly towards Jonathan, you can see the journey of how Jonathan in the end bonded with Deku and trained him to be a more obedient and non-reactive dog! There has been some concerns with Deku being a little reactive towards small things, so I texted Jonathan and he replied instantly when I texted him about these small instances. Jonathan explained everything so thoroughly and even asked me to keep him posted on updates with Deku and that gives me peace of mind that this trainer really does care about the dogs he's worked with and all of his clients! I can safely say that walks are not nerve wracking anymore and Deku has not been reactive towards strangers during our walks. Deku does not pull as much anymore (Jonathan has taught me how to correct it if/when Deku starts to pull a little) and does the commands I want him to do. I'm still in the process of taking Deku to public places, but even if there's a little problem, I know I can talk to Jonathan about it and I already know he will give me great advice on how to handle/train Deku so he can be his best dog self! I truly can not thank Jonathan enough for helping me as a dog owner who loves their dog and wants whats best for him! I will be recommending all of my beloved dog owner friends to Jonathan and am also thinking about doing further training for Deku with Jonathan, since my experience with him was top-notch! I encourage everyone to support Jonathan and his small business! *Pictures attached are pictures from when Jonathan was boarding/training Deku. Will be updating/uploading more pictures to show Deku's transformation while being at home with me and my family.
