After going to Petco a couple times, we found this place based on all the great reviews. They did an average job on the grooming and way too overpriced. My Aussie is 13 and not very active and cost $95. Walked out spending $195 in total. That's just ridiculous. That's about $50 more than any other place I've been over the past several years. When I questioned it, he said, as long as they come monthly, the price will stay the same. If you miss, the price may go up. More? Really? I was better off going to Petco. Anyway, unless your money grows on trees. save some money and do some research.

I do some clean up after she leaves given the fur gets everywhere as it has been windy when she's been here. She communicates pretty well and does a great job. This groomer is straight-up an ARTIST. She didn't just groom him--she transformed him into the most handsome golden ever (in my biased opinion!!) all while keeping him calm and happy (no small feat, since he's usually a nervous wreck at these places). But here's what really sets her apart: you can tell she genuinely LOVES animals. She handled Duke like he was her own, with endless patience and care. Bonus points--she's got some cool exotics in her backyard, which says everything about the kind of person she is. This is the rare groomer you can drop your pet off with and actually relax, knowing they're in the best hands. Truly how she made Duke look isn't easy. Professional, kind, easy to work with, spectacular service--she checks every single box and then some. She clearly loves what she does, and it shows. On top of all that, she could easily charge double (especially for my Duke) but instead, she keeps it super reasonable. I'm beyond grateful to have found her. I figured I'd give this place a try. The grooming process seemed reasonable too. It took about 2 hours and my fur baby was all done. They were quick really. Haircut came out cute! They gave her a pin and bandanna. I'm happy with the results of this groomer. I see why they have good reviews. My Pomeranian looks good and she smelled super nice afterwards too! They have an online booking system that is easy to use. You can book online whenever you want. Love that convenience at your fingertips.

Unfortunately, what followed was a series of alarming incidents that no pet owner should ever experience. 1. Reckless Handling & Safety Neglect Upon pickup, **Rafael** allowed my **male Labrador to bolt out of the grooming area without a leash**--directly next to **Highway 74**, a dangerous road. Had I not been there, my dog could have been hit by a car. Additionally, they **improperly dislocated his choke chain** and failed to secure it back in place, further risking his safety. This level of carelessness is unacceptable. 2. Unauthorized Grooming & Injuries My **female Lab** was supposed to receive **only a bath and teeth cleaning**--**NOT a shave**. Yet, when I got her home, I discovered **blood marks all over her face and inside her ears**, indicating severe clipping injuries (photos attached). When I returned to confront them, **Rafael first claimed his mother "carefully shaved" her**, then backtracked when I reminded him **shaving was never requested**. His mother then **denied any injuries occurred under their care**, blatantly lying to my face. 3. No Accountability, No Trust A grooming business must prioritize **safety, transparency, and honesty**--Romero Pet Grooming failed on all fronts. Instead of taking responsibility, they **lied about the injuries** and dismissed my concerns.
