Nothing special. No scarf after the grooming, no special touch. Nothing cute. Just the bare basics. Took my sweet doggie here because our favorite groomer was booked and he badly needed a grooming. We warned them that our dog gets squirmy with grooming so they can be prepared. Of course, when we picked up our dog, the girl in front said that he was very squirmy. Duh, didn't I just told you that? She also suggested that we take my dog to the Vet next time so they can give him a sedative before grooming. What?! Are you hearing yourself lady? What a very un-smart thing to say on a genetic scale! I am not going to sedate and drug my dog just because you guys can't handle him- maybe you need more training or better yet, skills. She cont'd with groom knowing he had an ear infection which caused pain and discomfort along with a 400.00 vet bill. I had been looking for a decent groomer for my year old husky, straffordshire terrior mix, Luka, that made me feel comfortable leaving him for hours. I finally found The Pet Parlor and I fell in love! I get Luka groomed once a month since he requires deshedding, nail trimming, and a bath. The store is clean everytime I go in and the ladies are so sweet and comforting. They take about 2 hours for Luka and call as soon as they are finished. Last month when I went to pick up Luka they had told me he had a really bad poop accident in the kennel he was in, to which I was so embarrassed but they were so sweet and reassured me that they had no problem and just cleaned him right up. I wasn't sure how to describe the cut I wanted for her because it was the first time I took her in for a groom (normally my husband does it) but the groomer was patient with me and when I came to pick her up she looked exactly how I wanted! First and last time ever having my Australian Shepherd groomed here. I specifically asked for her NOT to be buzzed and her coat was buzzed down to almost her undercoat. There is absolutely no shape to the cut around the head, chest, or front legs (feathers) as a cut for an Australian Shepherd should have. Not only is the cut choppy and terrible, it was expensive. Had my dog groomed here for the first time. She's had previously came here before but just for nail trims. I called to see if they can squeeze her in for a Saturday appt, and thankfully they were able to. The girl on the phone was a little rude. I asked about roughly how much it was going to be based upon my dog's breed and weight. I inquired about a bath and brush but she was unable to tell me a roughly how much. Ok, fair enough. Maybe on the day of the appt. When I went to drop her off, there was a sign in sheet. I know it had been awhile since my dog last went in but I was a little shocked that she didn't ask for any updated shot records (her shots are updated). She also couldn't tell me about roughly how long it will take or again, roughly how much it'll cost. Honestly, I've never been to a groomer that couldn't answer either of these questions. When my dog was finished (2 hours later) I spoke with who I believe is the owner. She was 10x nicer. Went to pick up my dog and only then was I told the amount. It did come out a little more pricey compared to other groomers I called around for, but I understand how brushing out can be a little challenging. Also asked if I wanted to add tip, which I did because whoever the groomer was did a fantastic job on her. So overall, yes I will most likely return. But my only suggestion is to provide a better customer service for the front desk staff. read more

I dropped her off with the young girl in the front she asked what kinda cut I wanted and I showed her the picture. She said okay like she comprehended what I said but obviously she didn't.. I picked her up and they shaved her completely... they said that the girl told them all one length. Why the heck would you cut a schnauzer all one length. This place is definitely my go to when my dog needs to be groomed! My dog loves going there! He always gets excited whenever we come up to the door because he knows he's about to enter the "Doggy spa." The place is cute too! Everyone in there is always polite and very helpful with pointing out things that may be irritating our dog that we may miss. Beware before taking your baby here. They are careless they cut both my baby Maltese ears. Cut what to short and injured his ears then got infected. They didn't let us know we figured it out our selfs. I would recommend taking your baby else where. I called and basically told us we signed a consent form stating anything bad that happens to your baby is not there fault tough luck. The manager/owner won't even return calls back. read more
