I met with 2 other clinics, but ultimately chose CCRS because of the fact that my fiance and I met with Dr. Lee during the consultation itself. He stayed with us for almost an hour to walk me through my options and his recommendations. He appeared to be intelligent, empathic, humorous, and above all, he was straight with me. Other clinics with a dedicated marketing operations team are a lot more sales-y, so I felt more comfortable with Dr. Lee, and all my appointments have been so streamlined and efficient. I was a good candidate for either SMILE or LASIK, but based on my preferences for longevity, I went with LASIK. Paperwork and pre-procedure instructions were sent to me in advance, and overall I think it went smoothly! I wasn't bothered at all by the lasers as I knew what to expect. I'm currently on days 5-6 of recovery and will be seeing Dr. Lee in another follow-up appointment next week. My vision continues to fluctuate a bit but that's a normal part of healing. My fiance is also interested in getting his refractive surgery done by Dr. Lee, and I recommended a family friend to him recently too. I went in person on a Saturday 2/1/20 to pay for it with my credit card. There was a young bilingual korean man (in his 30s) who took care of it. He gave me a small printed receipt not a formal one. I get another statement a few months later (the same bill) saying "2nd statement, please pay bill". I call the office during the week to talk to the billing person. I speak with an older lady and tell her that I've already paid this and I can show her my bank statement but I unfortunately do not have the receipt. I said I can come to the office and show it to her or email her, She said that's ok. She said the reason it wasn't recorded was because it was a Saturday and the billing person is not there Saturday and the young man did not record it correctly. Now 9 months later, I get another bill saying "3rd (last) statement. Please, make a payment." I don't really think they're trying get more money from me than necessary but this shows a lack of organization and unnecessary trouble for their issue with bookkeeping. Below is my bank statement. I am an…read moreAirline Pilot with over 37 years of airline experience and require an eye test due to occasional elevated eye pressure, termed "Pre-Glaucoma". The FAA requires pilots have a physical exam at prescribed intervals based on the type of pilot certification held. Because I am a Captain for a major airline, it has to be every six months. Once a year I have to provide test results based on the prescribed elements of my medical certification. Every year, Dr. Murthy puts me at ease with his wonderful bedside manner and his own personal knowledge of the system since he is an advanced pilot himself with actual jet experience. Thanks to his very thorough care and excellent staff, I have satisfied the FAA with flying colors on my tests. I take one eye drop at night based on his orders and it is doing the trick! My pressures are well within the FAA's guidelines along with my field of vision tests. Dr. Murthy discovered something that two other retina specialists had not mentioned to me. I understand why one of them might not have, as he performed my vitrectomy pars plana surgery. I was unaware that a layer had been left behind during the surgery. Recently, I noticed a very unusual brownish floater. Fortunately, whatever was obstructing my vision disappeared the following day. Given that my surgeon did not remove that particular layer, there is a possibility of a detachment. I am now contemplating whether this was intentionally overlooked, potentially necessitating another surgical procedure. I am very grateful that Dr. Murthy came highly recommended by my husband's best friend.
