Food is really yummy here and the place is big and connected to Disney gift shop. The atmosphere is nice and it's very clean here. The cookie and cream cake roll, butter cookies and chocolate mousse cake I ordered are very light and not very sweet. It's really good. The strawberry boba tea is also good here. It tastes like real tea here. It's not that sweet too. Shrimp Shumai was fresh and homemade. Taiwanese chicken was good. read more

The crepe cake is so good! And the egg tarts! We tried several sweet and savory options here both off the food menu as well as from the self serve bakery area. Loved everything! The staff is really friendly and helpful. There is a lot of space inside, which was really nice and calming. The desserts are soooo good. I ate way too much, but it was worth it. read more

Visiting Orlando for a conference, found this place within walking distance from my hotel. The baked goods looked good, but I went for a tonkotsu noodle bowl with pork and udon noodles. It came out within 10 minutes, steaming hot. Everyone who knows me knows I like my hot food good and hot, and this was. The pork surprised me because when I get tonkotsu in Dallas, there's one disk of it, this bowl had 4 lol. The broth was delicious. The udon noodles were soft, I expected them to be chewy, I thought that's why they're beloved in Japan, but I've never had them before, so not sure. I still liked the dish though. Generous portion, couldn't finish it. Wish I'd had someone with me to split it with, then we could've checked out a couple of bakery items! As all the reviews said, the staff was very friendly, place was clean. Seemed like a good date night spot, not a dark fancy restaurant date, but a nice vibe, has interesting things to try together. I would come back! read more

We came by for a little snack and stumbled upon a large menu of items. We built our own noodle bowls and they gave generous portions. The Tom Yum soup base and wontons were good. It was a perfect hearty meal. The cha siu was a little more crispy than other places but otherwise good. I was so full after eating this. They also have a bunch of pastries and cakes to pick from read more

Food 5/5 - The 1908 milk tea tastes good I got 50% sugar & ice and the boba is super chewy & soft. The sponge cake was fluffy and the pineapple bun had actual pineapples in the middle. The har gow (shrimp dumplings) were big and delicious! I loved the food so much that I ordered some more dim sum to-go for dinner. My favorites out of the dim sum I ordered are the seafood dumplings and sticky rice! Service 5/5 - Staff was friendly! They have a lot of workers making bubble tea and taking orders. Ambiance 5/5 - Lots of space and tables inside. The bread/baked goods is located directly to the right when you enter. Will definitely return when I'm back in Orlando! read more

Pros: Location is great. Now I can stop in for some quick treats on my way home from Disney. Ambiance is good. The interior of the building is huge and inviting. Plenty of space for plenty of delicious buns. Absolutely love the serve yourself style of the buns. Just like it is in Japan. And they are delicious. Sweet, savory, somewhere in between. Very excited to see so much pork floss. Cons: No cons. This location is not as homey or cozy as the first location, but it is for tourists, so that's fine. Tips: Get one of each. They are big, but they don't take up a lot of tummy space at all. Splurge. read more

Had to wait until nearly 10am for egg tarts to come out - not all their pastries come out in the morning when they open, so I had to wait hours for them to bake them all. Sheesh, it was frustrating because I can't wait hours for them to bake their items for the day. read more

I am so thankful they opened a restaurant on this side of town. Bakery 1908 was amazing. Walking in and you are welcomed by the sweet smells of pastries. The place has high ceilings and plenty of seatings. Always so clean and just a great vibe. They have ala carte pastries, desserts, coffee and teas. After 10am, you can order from their kitchen which includes the bobas as well. We ordered 4 different buns and pastries both sweet and savory plus a coconut coffee and waiting until 10 to get a fruity boba. The savory ham & cheese and chicken and pineapple were absolutely delicious. The sweet buns weren't overly sweet which was nice and the buns itself , were fluffy and not dry. Absolutely delicious. The 4 pastries and a coffee was around $25 and the boba was about $7. Not terrible considering everything we got! Definitely will be coming back for lunch items. read more

Had an okay experience, not as good as previous times. Brought my mom for the first time with the intent to purchase my favorite cotton candy latte. I asked for it like I usually do to sub almond or oat milk because they offer it for literally every other coffee, and this was the first time I was shut down and told no. I explained they've been able to accommodate it several visits in the past, and the guy smiled and said "sorry." He said he'd have to ask the boss next time, and suggested I get the tiramisu latte instead. I really did not like the tiramisu latte, it almost tasted chalk-y and bitter, had absolutely no sweetness to it. For coming to this place pretty often and recommending it to so many friends... I'm pretty let down. It made me not really want to come back unless I will really be in the mood for one of their pastries. Please consider the ability to sub the milk on this one drink or come up with a better reasoning of why it can't be accommodated. read more

I had high hopes for 1908 Bakery, but unfortunately, the bread I tried was a letdown. While the presentation was nice, the filling was barely there--more bread than anything else, which made it dry and lacking in flavor. For the price, I expected a lot more substance. Hopefully, they consider rebalancing their portions, because the quality and concept seem promising otherwise. read more

A visit to this bakery is a must. While we did not stay to eat from their menu, we did select some delicious breads and cakes from the display cases which showcases their products beautifully. Drove half an hour and found out the kitchen for food does not open till 10 am. Bummer. Bought some buns instead.

Good food at reasonable price. Location is also good with lots of seatings inside. It is worth a visit.

Huge variety of desserts and pastries. Matcha frappé is a must try drink (excellent). Pork congee by far my favorite. The reward tofu to me is over rated (not enough seasoning). read more

We normally frequent the Colonial Drive location but we wanted to try the newer location instead. It's beautiful and very spacious inside. We arrived around 7:15pm, they close at 9pm. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Ordered 2 Shanghai Dumplings and a 1908 Noodle Bowl, also two tea drinks and two buns. Drinks arrived first, then the soup arrived next, and dumplings last. Drinks were amazing (as they are normally), however the soup did not taste like it did normally. Still, I ate the dumplings which tasted just fine. The soup and noodles however were completely lacking any taste. Because of food allergies, I couldn't have my partner taste it (shellfish allergy) to confirm but it definitely had no taste. I proceeded to taste the dumplings he ordered... just cooking oil. It was really weird. We figured that it was maybe us or something. I had another dumpling and he did too but it was just oil. Finally I resigned to the idea that we couldn't eat the food which was really upsetting to us since we love everything we've ordered at the Colonial location. I did ask to speak with a manager and told them that we couldn't finish our meals for these reasons. I apologized profusely because I do not like ever returning food, I will eat something I don't like but this just was not edible. Maybe it was an off night, idk. The manager was extremely understanding and refunded us for the meals. And I made sure it was just for the dumplings and soup bowl being that we drank the teas and ate the buns we got. Again, this could've been an off night, idk. Either way, I want to go back when they're in full swing to see if it's the same experience or different. I still love their food regardless. read more

Service was speedy and nice. Drinks were tasty and tea was fragrant. Bakery had lots of variety and unique offerings I don't see often. I got the English Peach bun and it was creamy and peachy and had well balanced flavors. My friend ordered their award winning tofu, which was fried tofu with their special seasoning, and their dumpling soup. The dumpling had way too many chives and not enough meat. Overall, really solid place that I'd definitely come again. read more

This is a new location from the one that originally opened on Colonial Dr. near downtown Orlando. The front entrance is right next to a very big souvenirs store. Considerable free parking space on the side and back area. When you walk in, you have the option of self serving or you also have a kiosk where you can order from as well. I preferred to self-serve. There are trays and tongs you can grab before going to the bakery display cases. There is a multitude of options available, from cookies to breads, to desserts on the display cases. I was craving some breakfast bread to have with coffee. Picked 3 options that came out to be about $11-$12 total, and regretted not getting more once I got home. The bread is so fluffy and airy. My favorite was the cheese bread, but none disappointed. There is plenty of seating tables inside and just a few patio style chairs outside for a small group. read more

If you like pastries, sweets and asian cuisine then Bakery1908 is for you! ai had the Sweetpea Spritzer, not the flavor I was expecting but it wasn't too bad. I also had the spring rolls and the Taiwanese popcorn chicken and both were flavorful. My friend had the pho bowl and the boa buns. Both of which we enjoyed. The buns had large pieces of pork in it. The sauce was both flavorful and delicious. The service is great and a unique set up where you can order from the table with a qr code. Very cool! read more

I loved the downtown Orlando location, and I enjoy this one a lot too. The breads are so good and when I get home I love to reheat them in an air fryer. The drinks there, however, aren't very good for a cafe, and seem overpriced for the low quality. The parking situation is also difficult, as there's always a lot of people, and never enough spots to accommodate. Nevertheless, highly recommend to get come of the grab and go bread here, and get any seasonal items too! read more

NGL I was totally overwhelmed the first time I came here. There's room for improvement with their ordering system but once you get over that, there's sooo many options!! Dim sum, bakery items, nom nom noms, bubble tea. If I lived in the area I would def come back often to try all the goodies. I feel like I came here at a peak hour but was told by a friend it actually gets even more busy than what I had experienced. Overall the ambiance was more fast-paced causal place you can go in and order, sit down or order out. A little hectic for my taste but worth it!! Try everything. I need to come back. read more

Very cute spot with the entry inside of a gift shop! Was not expecting that and was confused at first but we figured it out. The employees at the counter were really nice and answered our questions. We ended up getting some drinks and pastries, we got a brown sugar milk tea and a taro milk tea. Both delicious! We got a pistachio pastry, taro pastry, and strawberry cloud cookies. The cookies were so good! Definitely on the sweet side so one or two is enough for me. The taro pastry was really good s well. The pistachio was okay, it was light and fluffy however it definitely was too salty for my taste. Wasn't expecting it to be a more salty pastry than sweet. Overall would definitely come here again! read more

I have been looking forward to this brand new location of Bakery 1908, and I'm happy to report it doesn't disappoint! It's a huge and inviting space where you can relax and enjoy for hours if you wish. The bakery portion has an extensive selection and I look forward to coming back to try more. Pictured below is the coffee bun, lemon bun, and the cinnamon blueberry cinnamon roll. I loved all three, but the lemon bun really stood out to me. Fair warning, if you aren't as big of a fan of bean textures the coffee bun might not be your favorite. The drinks pictured are the strawberry latte and the citrus soda with boba. Both were so good! The boba was especially soft and the latte uses strawberry milk which really makes it stand out. We also got the Taiwanese chicken which was a super generous and shareable portion. It resembles the light crunch of a chicken karage. As far as the service goes, all of the waiters were very nice and I liked that it had so many self service elements. I really appreciated the to go boxes and water station as well. It was nice to have those options. Overall, I was really impressed with Bakery 1908 and can't wait to try more! read more

We went there today, it's just a hype on their hot food. We ordered their famous siumai, pork dumplings both not so good at all! I asked for karage (fried chicken). I thought it's only chicken but I was given the squid (fried squid). First it's tough and too greasy. I wasn't given the choice. My husband wants to try some noodles and was recommended beef braised as protein, ramen noodles and was recommended soup type: tonkatsu, too far from tasting tonkatsu. It was a waste of food. We didn't finish at all! I gave 3 stars because of the hot food but the pastries I'm sure it's much better that I would rate higher 4 read more

Very good, with some exceptions. A lot of food, but expensive for what it is: typical casual dining, you order at the counter, sit down and they bring the food to you. I ordered the noodle soup with: chicken broth, very flavorful, served very hot; beef stew, very flavorful, but very chewy; udon noodles, the fattest noodles, which I like, prepared just right, not overcooked. Since this is supposed to be a dim sum place, I ordered some pork buns, a little bit expensive, $7.99 for three buns. They taste OK but nothing to write home about. The bun part of it was too floury, the pork flavor just ok. I've eaten much better pork buns in Flushing, Queens, NY The decor is very modern and light. This is more a daytime place. There's a section of bakery items that I will check on the way out. Like everything nowadays, a really expensive. I spent $26 on the two items. read more
