Amazing!!! So recently I have been really getting into baking. My boyfriend and his mom have introduced me to this cute little shop to get what I may need to bake. It's small, but has quite a bit of baking supplies not only utensils but food products as well. I was able to get fondant and a fruit filling here to make the little mini cakes that I was planning on making the next day. The lady that checked us out was very friendly and helpful. I am a little sad that their hours of operation is pretty short, but in these times, it is completely understandable. I've came here on 3 occasions. 1 out of the 3 was an okay visit but the rest have been disappointing. I asked questions on two different occasions to two different woman and both were very rude and looked as if they were bothered that I asked a question. I'm not sure if they don't like their job or I don't know but if you're going to work at a place that offers classes and help. I see a lot of negative reviews for this place. Yes, it's small and the hours are not the best - especially for bakers who do this on the side while working full time. But I have never experienced bad customer service. Anytime I've gone in, they've gone above and beyond to help me or get some of the items I've needed. I will say their edible images are pretty pricey and the quality isn't the greatest, but it's done the job when I've been in a pinch. I will also agree with some reviewers that their selection sometimes is limited ONLY when it's a holiday where everyone is baking! And especially the last year because of the pandemic, everyone and their mom decided to become a baker. The location is convenient for me since it's down the street from my home. This bakers bodega is very empty once you keep walking around the store. I was trying to find some new packaging boxes for desserts and their sample boxes are very much not presentable. They look smashed and have tape around them. It definitely didn't make me want to buy dessert boxes just by looking at how they pay attention to detail on the boxes that are suppose to be for display. Being the only person in line, it took about 5 minutes to finally get checked out & I only had 3 small things with me. Customer service is not ideal. read more

I have been coming here for a while now and honestly I just deal with it because it's close by. But they changed there hours without posting online or changing Yelp, they just put up a sign on there door. I was outside waiting with another customer that didn't know they changed there hours either. I went today because I had $5 off $30 offer but once I go to pay the young man says sorry I can't give you that because my points system is not working!! Honestly that is ridiculous I just got the offer texted to me yesterday! This place is really going down hill, might just go back to the Pico store! They should honor what they send out or not even use the point system! Mind you I spent well over $70. Came here the other day, My work is near here, I came to this one because I thought it was gonna be fully stocked, and I always dread the traffic heading to the one in Pico... their FB page really over hyped the Anaheim location...if you're going to over-hype at least be fully stocked... I was even wondering if they were still working on the store. The one that was in Pico had an abundance of stuff. I literally would be at the store for hours just looking at everything wanting to buy it all. I didn't have the same feeling at this location. Its literally like only 4 or 5 isles plus their fridges in the back, very little variety of food coloring. Not much fondant, not much chocolate. I don't think I will be back to this one. I was ready to drop major dough here (no pun intended) guess I'll just go to Michael's for my baking supplies. If you guys decide to add more stuff, I'll go and spend money. Also just wanted to throw it out there, it's a little hidden, its caddy corner next to a criket and some other place. Dont expect it to look at as big as the one they had on Paramount ave. Came here looking for candy for a candy buffet and was very disappointed they didn't have anything. In the past I visited the Pico Rivera location and there they had a great variety of different color metallic gum balls, chocolates, candy melts & sixlets. This location does not carry nearly as much. Don't waste your time here looking for candy. My recommendation is JACKS WHOLESALE CANDY in Downtown LA (also on Yelp) and you don't need a wholesale license to shop. read more

I used to drive to the store in Pico, so glad this store opened closer to me. They don't have as large a selection but they carry evertything I usually buy and had a few things I've been looking for. Save your time and money for any other Baker supply than this place. Walked in and wasn't greeted. We proceeded to look for containers for cupcakes and see what else they had...was never asked if we needed help, if everything was ok. Funny thing is they were excited to say goodbye. I've been here multiple times and I've always loved the service and all the help I get but today I must say I wasn't happy at all! I live in the Los Angeles area and I drive about 45 minutes to get here and all tho the Pico Rivera location is closest to me And was the 1st location I visited i rather come to the Anaheim location because of the great experiences I got since day. For the past 2 weeks I haven't found the custom ice buttercream 8.8lbs when I asked an employee when would the next shipment will arrive for the size I've been looking for the employee told me they didn't sale that size. But Ive purchase this size here before then she said "well we order them when needed"!! I then realize she had no knowledge regarding the product I was asking for and didn't get proper training!! I needed two 1/4 images so as She edits my images I was never told of any color issues with the printer but tho both of my images had to be reprinted do to the colors not matching at all (they were to blue) at the end I realized they were never going to look like my images so I had to take what I got. When I asked about the images being so blue I was told the images weren't matching the colors because the printer only had certain colors available and the printer had to try matching the colors from the images with the colors available!! Please train all your staff to know what they are doing and selling!! I don't mind paying the extra $2 fee for editing the images if the colors are on point and your staff is not taking my time trying to figure out how to correct colors! because it's not them editing my images that's taking their time, it's your staff not knowing what to do that's taking my time!! Also How is it that another employee approaches me when I am paying and denies what the previous employee told me about the colors not matching and blaming my images! I come here at least once a week if not twice and I've never had an issue aside from a previous visit where I was told they didn't have a certain color and the print wasn't working!! This issue has happened to the Pico Rivera location, Their images where very blue do to the printer missing some colors but they notified us in advance! So disappointed in you guys!! I have been a Baker/Decorator for many years and I discovered Bakers Bodega in Pico Rivera during my education in pastry school. It's definitely a drive from where I live in Garden Grove, so when I found out they were opening a new location in Anaheim, I was ecstatic! Since they've opened, I have been continuously going to this location not only because of how much closer they are to me, but also because of their outstanding customer service. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly, you get a genuine vibe from everyone. They carry a wide-range of cake supplies and classes for children and adults. I recently signed up/attended one of their classes. I've made Italian macarons in the past, but they're fickle to make and it's always a hit or miss with the outcome. I wanted to refresh my memory and review the process with making French macarons instead and I knew Alejandra (Instructor) would be the perfect person to learn from! She is so patient, sweet and clear with her instructions and all of us felt comfortable during the class. It was really fun and informative. I'm really glad that I signed up for this class because it helped me to learn hands-on and visually see the process from start to finish. I went in about a month ago to purchase an edible image. I usually go to the Pico location but the Anaheim one was on my way home from work. I called to confirm that their edible printer was working and the person who answered the phone said it was. I go in and wait for my Image to be printed. Price was $10 for 1 sheet and that was literally all I had on me. The image starts printing and is the wrong color, the guy stop the printer and fixes it. He flips the paper around so it can print on the other side, which I understand but I had 2 pictures on 1 page... he prints one photo out and says he'll sell that one to me for $5 then print out my other image on a whole other page for $10, a total of $15. I said wait, it's only supposed to be $10. I told them that I didn't have enough and that I could only purchase 1 photo. (I understand that a lot of people go to this store for supplies to make money, but this was a cake for my sister.) When I called them out on it. They older gentlemen backed off and said that they'd give me both for $10 this time. Like it was my fault that the printer messed up.... I felt very much like they were taking advantage of me. This place has gone downhill. They never have anything I need anymore. i've been promised multiple times, even by the manager, that they will make runs to the other location to pick up items and to come back the next day for my needs and they NEVER bring the items promised. I have wasted way too much time and gas coming here. Also, the last 3-4 edible images I've purchased are terrible quality. I know how to transfer the sheets, but they talk to me like it doing it wrong every time i report they they gave me a bad sheet. I KNOW that they have bad quality sheets, like they mishandled them or let them get hot. The image shreds to pieces no matter how carefully you handle the sheet. I went in today and the staff member seemed careless when I asked him what's going on... lastly, their prices keep going UP UP UP!!! Everything I buy has multiple price tags each one replacing the prior sticker with a higher price. Everything has gone downhill while prices have gone up. Went there because the Pico Rivera one is closed so I drove for about 35mins and I got to say that it was not worth my time. Since the moment i walked in you could tell the people working there were not too happy to be there. One girl was stamping some products and bearly looked up then some young guy walked out of an office and rushed by me and didn't even acknowledge the fact that I looked lost i started looking around trying to find what I went there for but I didn't want to lose time so when the guy rushed by again I asking him where the cake stands were and he said oh there (pointing straight out in front of me ... when I got close I noticed that they were cake decorating turntables but before I could say something he was gone. I go up to the girl to ask and she just stared at me so I pointed to the stands they had as displays and she just said oh I don't know if we have any and looked down.. bottom line I had to get one that was as a display and walked out disgusted by the lack of service ..
