At first, my husband and I were so excited to find this place since we just opened our new restaurant!! I found this place because I needed a new drink dispenser. The dispenser ad said it was brand new even though it did look used. However, this was not the issue. When I got the dispenser in my restaurant it only stayed cold for a day and half. I called and they told me to bring it back. When my husband was putting the dispenser into the car the side panels fell off. He tried to put it back together but the screws were all different sizes as if someone added different screws. After about 3 days, they called and said there was nothing they can do, and they would not even give us store credit because it looks as though we "took the machine apart" . I spoke with both Jessica and Ariana and they basically told me there was nothing they can do but would get back to us. Fast forward to over a week later we STILL have not heard back from them and we are out $500 and they still kept our machine. We will not be coming back or recommending this place to our friends whom all own several restaurants. My suggestion if you are thinking of giving this place a shot, make sure you stuff works and wont have to bring it back! read more

First, let me say that I am a volunteer PTSA VP and run a volunteer staffed store at my daughter's high school. I have no experience purchasing commercial refrigerated displays, so I was concerned about what questions to ask and what to look for and what to watch for. I knew that we could not afford the units we needed, if we bought new and was terrified about buying used equipment. But, I finally decided I had to bite the bullet and buy something. After visiting a couple of other places and not feeling good about buying, I found Mike's. Based on the Yelp reviews, I was hopeful, but still very guarded. I walked in the door and immediately noticed how pleasant the office smelled and the office and warehouse were both very clean too. Sunnie greeted me and was very friendly. She was eager to help me and happily answered all my questions (and I asked a lot of them). I already thought that I wanted to purchase a pass-thru unit, but it was out of my budget to buy a new one. Mike's had one in stock and it was in amazing condition. Mike's also had some table top refrigerated display that were in great condition too. With all the time I spent researching and also visiting the other places, it never felt right. I never felt confident enough in the units or the businesses. But it was different with Sunnie. She made it clear that she cared about the customers. After giving me time and space to ponder it (and take a look at what else they had available), I told Sunnie I wanted them. She got to work and had me out of there in no time. The process was fast and easy! The units were delivered two days later and everyone was thrilled! A little over a week after they arrived, the tabletop case began blowing warm air. I called Sunnie and Mike immediately had Francisco, his refrigeration guy, at our store at 9am the next morning. While I hate to admit it, the problem turned out to be user error (mine). Some of the items were starting to freeze, so I adjusted the temp up a little. What I didn't realize is that I was looking at the wrong notch as a guide. I ended up turning it up way too far and it stopped blowing col are I called Sunnie, told her what happened and apologized. She was very kind! Also, while Francisco was there, he should me a couple of tips on how to maintain the units. He was so nice and extremely professional! I cannot thank Mike, Sunnie, and Francisco enough! It looks like we need another table top unit and I know exactly who to call! I definitely recommend them to everyone! read more

Our American Legion post in Midway City needed a replacement display cooler on short notice. We checked several restaurant supply houses in Orange County. A great place to buy used or new rest supplies. Today I drove to OC from Santa Monica and bought an oven and a cart for my pizza restaurant Reds. Mike n I negotiated the deal via Ebay and once there, he tested the material and even replaced the faulty knobs and made sure I was happy. He helped load the oven and the cart in my car too. Reasonable prices and the warehouse looks clean and everyone seems professional and helpful. A great family business. Best place for affordable and durable litter pans. I use the stainless-steel steam table food insert pans for my foster kittens and cats litter pans. Very easy to clean and sanitize. I'm rating Mike's Restaurant Supply strictly on customer service. I bought a used warming cabinet for a few hundred dollars. These things new usually cost a few thousand. Mike and team allowed me to test the unit before I purchased it. Everything appeared to work well after testing for over 30 mins. I brought the warmer home and after an hours use, the heating element went out. I don't blame mike or his team for this. It is used and these failures are unpredictable when buying used. Called mike backup and he had his technician attempt to fix it. Still no luck. Mike was in close communication with me during the entire process. We texted back and forth and he was very accommodating. He really felt bad and wanted to make things right. He tried giving me a discount on another unit. Unfortunately that other unit didn't fit in my suv so I didn't buy anything from mike. He gave me a full refund. I really appreciated how he handled everything and felt the need to express this good experience. read more

I contacted this company to purchase a Gelato Display case off Craigslist and worked out a deal with them that was slightly lower than listed price. I asked them to send over an invoice and sent them over my authorization payment to purchase the item. I was then told after sending in my payment and photo ID that the item was already sold on Ebay and I would not be getting this item. The item should have been pulled off Ebay or a refund to the Ebay buyer in this case considering the situation but to my disbelief the company decided to deny my purchase and explain to me they could not do anything about it after having my information and payment on file. read more
