Dropped in after the farmers market to get a bite to eat with my BFF. There was a young girl training and she was just learning the menu so she had trouble knowing what was in a burrito when we asked. There was a young very patient young man by the name of Gabe who was assisting her who kindly showed her where to look for the answers on the cashier screen. I watched him through out the time I was there and even with a seemingly slightly unruly customer his attitude never changed. It's nice to see a good example of customer service in a young person. Be proud to have him on your team. Also the supervisor Richard was visible and available to his staff and the lobby making sure everything was running efficiently. Came to this location for lunch since I work in the area, although they were busy for the lunch hour I received my food quickly even after I made a change to my order. Food was good and restaurant was clean. Three stars because being a loyal customer, I was heartbroken they changed their menu, not sure if it's only at this location or chain-wide. Stopped to get food on my Roadtrip. This was the nearest to the freeway. Very bland fries and burger. You definitely need to get some ketchup and hot sauce. Fries barely have any salt. Maybe some people like it that way. Got the single baker with cheese. At least there was lettuce in the burger, which was crispy and fresh. Drive thru was quick though. I literally sat in the drive thru for over 30 minutes. When I got to the order speaker, the lady said how may I help you, and as I started to say my order she told me to hold on in mid sentence. Waited another 5 minutes and as I said my order she had me repeat it twice because she couldn't hear me. Got my food and the burrito I ordered was half the size of any other bakers I've ever been to, the fries were over cooked, and the coke tasted watered down. This Bakers is an absolute disaster. I shouldn't even give it one star. I wasn't frustrated when at the window they gave me the wrong order and I corrected them so they fixed it. I was really annoyed when I got home and it was still the wrong burger and the wrong drink! So to make it worse I went back and personally went inside and told them what happened and not one of the employees that helped me ever said I'm sorry for the inconvenience . They just acted annoyed and acted as if. Can someone explain why Baker's would change their LETTUCE on the Burgers?!!! now their great burgers are MEDIOCRE at best!.. This place is never my go to. But it's close to home so it's convenient. Went through drive through. The girl taking my order was talking to the customer at the window at same time she's taking my order. I ordered a twin meal, 3 tacos and a coke float. She says it's $27. Get to window and the girl looks miserable. I pay with my card and she asked me if I wanted ketchup or hot sauce. I said, "both please". I had to ask her for my receipt because she never even offered it to me. Then I left. When I got home I see she gave me 2 kinds of ketchup but no hot sauce. I went back right away. I didn't say anything at the speaker. But I had to wait in the drive through line. When I got to the window the manager was already there. I told him what happened and he said, "it's because we don't have any hot sauce". So I told him the girl never said that and that I don't want the tacos and I want a refund for the tacos. He asks if I have the receipt. Like I didn't just go through the line and I'm not handing him the Bakers bag with the tacos. Like I could've been lying. I gave him the receipt. Then he looks it over and asks if I want a refund on only the tacos. I told him it was a waste of my time but I would be fine with refund on the tacos. He says, "well if you have the rest of the food we can refund that too". I told him it was at home. So then he closes the window and then comes back and asks for my card. Then he comes back with my card and receipt and says, "ok, here you go"". I told him, "you know, the fact that the girl never said anything about being out of the hot sauce and no apology from you either or anything. But what can you expect when you hire monkeys for peanuts". He says, "Have fun with your Yelp review and happy new year". So he obviously doesn't care that his team members suck at customer service. No one ever took my order mean while 3 cars in the drive thru got their order. I know this because I saw the cars drive up to the menu and heard the drive their girl take the orders while I waited and got nothing. I left. Poor little me, I know. Went last night to try new "happy hour" menu. Love the items you choose for this! But.. please please please teach your employees how to be a lil more patient.. example.. I was paying cash, had my $20 in my hand & the coin in my other hand, before I could tell the cashier I had the exact change she had grabbed the $20 & closed the Drive-Thru window, I tapped on the window but no one heard me, she then opens the window with my change & I informed her I had the coin so I wouldn't have to deal with more change & she looked dumbfounded & didn't know what to do. At that point I just took the change she made & checked my order, which was wrong but I wasn't going to hold up the line at this point, it was already 930 & she had a line that was very long as it had been for awhile. I understand training & new employees but not knowing how to give change or learning customer service skills is maybe what is needed. I was doing work nearby all day, so I stopped here for all 3 meals, every time I came in I saw the Manager there All day. Cleaning windows, picking up trash and when O mentioned the RR was out of soap, I came back an hour later and it was filled up!! I went to Baker's a few days ago, I had to repeat the order a few times to the girl in the drive thru to make sure they got my order right. I wish I would have double checked before I left because sure enough once I got home I had the wrong order. I called the number on the receipt and it kept going to their corporate office and just told me to leave a voicemail. I couldn't go back the same day since it was 15 miles from home. I went back yesterday to tell them what happened and all the manager could same is you need to speak with corporate, we can't help you. I'm like seriously?!? You messed up and can't even say I'm sorry and just replace the two items you messed up on. I still haven't heard back from their corporate office. Stopped in here on my way to Palm Springs this morning. Went inside because I didn't know what I wanted and didn't want to be the person in the drive-thru that takes forever ordering. Lol. Anyway, Lynda asked if I had any questions because she could see I was looking at the menu for a bit. I asked her about a few of the items. She was super helpful and very friendly especially for it being so early in the morning. I thanked her for being so patient and nice to me and she said that she hoped to see me again.
