Best donut shop in town! Lots of delicious carbs and a wide variety of drinks make it a good place to stop for breakfast.

They were understandably low on stock, so my wife and I pivoted to kolaches, which was a solid move. She ordered a sausage and jalapeno kolache, which she raved about. I ordered a large sausage and bacon kolache, which was delicious and filling. It was a fine meat to pastry ratio- nobody wants a kolache with a ton of pastry and a tiny bit of meat. My young son naturally chose a frosted donut with sprinkles and a little toy in the middle. He eagerly ate it. I also bought a vanilla frosted cake donut and a vanilla fronted glazed donut to eat later. We had some donut holes, which are absurdly cheap- 6 for $0.99. The donuts were all decent, but nothing stood out to me. I definitely need to stop by earlier in the day for a better selection. The shop was clean and the staff was pleasant, although they were cleaning up the store pretty intensely while we were there, 60 minutes before closing. Bottom line- kolaches were great, donuts are all right, it's ridiculously cheap (most donuts are just over a dollar), and it's conveniently located right off of I-30 on a frontage road. If you're passing by and in the mood for a quick breakfast or snack, it's a solid choice.

Not too greasy...great when warmed a bit. My only negative comment was the chocolate old-fashioned was a bit dry. Maybe from yesterday. But I will be back to try some more.

I arrived at Wesley Doughnuts at 8:30 a.m. to see a fairly sparse donut case. The fellow working the counter wasn't friendly, but wasn't exactly grouchy... just kind of there. I ordered an old fashioned glazed cake donut, a chocolate eclair with cream filling, and a vanilla frosted sprinkle donut for my son. I ate the old fashioned first and the taste immediately threw me off, as it was fried in old oil, or something had been fried in the oil that gave off a funky taste. The donut was passable, a bit on the dry side and not as good as the other old fashioned donuts I've tried in Greenville. The chocolate filled eclair was better, notably because it had a delightfully crisp crust on the bottom. However, it still had the funky oil taste, but was much better than the old fashioned. My son loved his frosted sprinkle donut as dessert, so he was happy. I had a tiny bite of it and was put off by the same weird old oil taste, though. I was hoping for a great local gem, but that was not the case with this visit. Hopefully I just caught them on a bad day. If nothing else, their donuts are very cheap. I'll likely give them a shot again on the chance they can turn things around.

I've stopped by twice so far, and service has been quick and pleasant. They have all of your standard donuts, as well as kolaches and breakfast sandwiches. For me, the apple fritter is their standout. At only $2, it's large, crispy, cooked through, and pleasantly sweet. The cinnamon roll is subtly sweet and had the slightest crunch on its crust, quite tasty. The Bavarian cream also has a subtle crisp crust and is filled with a nicely-textured, not too thick sweet cream. Other than those, their old fashioned donuts are their best donuts to me. They have a good crunch on their exteriors and are soft and moist inside. I'd classify their standard cake and glazed donuts as good, solid donuts. Prices are reasonable. On my last visit, I bought a half dozen, an apple fritter, and a sausage kolache for $14 and change. When I go in the future, I'll focus on the standouts. If you're in the area, stop and give them a try!
