Phenomenal place! Ordered a bacon egg and cheese croissant and this thing was huuuge and DEeeeelicious, bacon was excellent and wasn't skimpy We also ordered an apple fritter and 2 old fashions Got to the car looked in the bag and this guy hooooooked us up TWO small apple fritters along with the large one A bag full a delicious doughnut holes and an extra old fashion in top of the two we ordered Thanks Buddy! GOOD OLD-FASHIONED DONUTS (Warning: two young adults from Central Florida here for a week) I can't complain here about anything. The Donuts were more of the cake-variety (which I'm not the biggest fan of) however there was enough sweetness and flavor to help me overcome that; the Red Velvet and Pumpkin especially. Our glazed Donut and regular one with Chocolate Icing were comforting treats. Everything was expected and great. WHAT ELSE WAS THERE? You can also get Coffee (no free refills) but it looked like just regular. Nothing fancy. A small refrigerated area in the front is filled with Sodas and Milk if you want. We had a bit of a line in front of us upon entry, but it moved quickly. Almost everybody (including us) took our items to-go even though there are small tables there for dining in. read more

Amazing kolaches; sweet pastry wrapped and baked around a familiar and flavorful sausage. My wife recommends the jalapeño while I stick to the cheddar. These are the best donuts I have ever had in my travels anywhere in the world. They are light and melt in your mouth. I picked up a few donuts on my way out of Alpine and was floored when I tried them. A week later, my son and I made a point of leaving Big Bend on time so we could pick up more donuts and kolaches on our way back to Midland airport. You'll thank me after eating her. read more

I was cruising around alpine at 6am looking for a place that was open and sold coffee. I saw the lights on so I decided to stop in. I ended up getting a cinnamon roll, glazed donut, blueberry cake donut and jalepono kolaches (along with the coffees). The blueberry cake donut and glazed donuts were the best I've ever had. The cake was moist and dense and the glazed was fluffy. I spoke with the owner a sane told me she gets up at midnight everyday to make the donuts which made me like the place even more. The coffee was not the greatest so you may want to skip that but it is a donut place and I highly recommend you give it a try. read more

So good! Stopped by on our drive to Davis Mountains State Park, two jalapeño pigs in a blanket, one glazed donut and one chocolate Dino donut for the toddler. Everything was so delicious! It was close to closing time so we got surprise extra donuts and donut holes. :) made our day!! They do curbside and they delivered out to our car in less than a minute. Stopped here for breakfast every day during our stay in Alpine. Their donuts and croissant sandwiches were absolutely amazing and tasted so fresh! I only wish they would make vegetarian kolaches because their kolaches looked so good! The best thing I would have to say about this place is the service. These donuts are wonderful. We tried 4 different kinds and the standouts were the blueberry and the lemon filled. (I loved how the filling was added AFTER you order). These are possibly the best donuts I have ever had. If you think Krispy Kreme is good, these are much better. If you think Dunkin Donuts is good, these are much better. These are so good. They are fluffy, moist, and sweet. The people are very nice, welcoming, and always with a smile. I'm glad they opened shop here in Alpine. Amazing! I saw all the comments and didn't believe it. But....ordered one glazed donut and then ate THREE! And I use my calories very judiciously!!! They were as light as feathers and literally melt in your mouth with NO greasy after taste! Can't imagine being within 100 miles of this place and not swinging by. Seriously!!! A must stop for us every time we come to Alpine. We actually had breakfast here every morning this go 'round instead of seeking out breakfast anywhere else. The kolaches are amazing-- soft, lightly sweet bread with great quality sausage. The donuts are super tasty and soft. And we love that even though we come to the area every 6 months to one year, Connie remembers us and is always so sweet.
