I've been here in Ridgewood on and off for the past 6 months and most mornings we try different bagel places. I think I've finally found the place for great bagels here in Ridgewood. The place is small but clean and have your usual bagel choices. There's a small sitting area inside and a couple of tables outside but it's mostly takeout. My sesame bagel was toasted just right with the right amount of cream cheese. It certainly is the New York bagel I've been used to. The staff was friendly and service was fast. I love their cold brew (it's really strong) and gives you enough energy to tackle the day! My go-to is a whole wheat bagel or wrap with egg whites, swiss cheese, and turkey bacon. If you'd like extra protein ask for extra Turkey bacon (extra bacon is always a good idea). Rico and the rest of the employees are super nice and ambiance is always clean. Refrigerated drinks are always stocked and if you aren't a coffee drinker, try their iced tea! The cucumber dill or pimento cream cheese was delicious on a toasted bagel. This place is as legit as NYC bagel shops get First of all, and best of all, they remember you. I walked in and they knew exactly what I wanted even though it was only my second time here (props). Their bagels are also, importantly, absolutely on point. This is the kind of place you don't ask for your sandwich or even buttered bagel toasted. My go-to is a bacon egg and cheese, which is done perfectly, though you can't go wrong with standard-issue cream cheese on a plain/everything either. The real hidden gem at Bakers Dozen though are the pastries. The apple turnover is so good that I can't seem to walk away without one. I don't know if it's better to order online and pick up because it seems like when people did that the their orders were ready when they arrived but putting your order in, in person both times took a long time. they are the closest bagel shop near me so I will probably be going there again and they have a good variety of bagels and spreads and I'm interested in trying their lunch sandwiches but I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone that isn't willing to wait a long time, like 20 minutes, for their bagel and cream cheese. read more

We've been looking forward to try this place since the signs went up during renovation. Been going out less, so just noticed it was open last week. Hah! Finally tried it today. It may not replace our fav spot in Astoria but this more than great for those lazy weekends when we just wanna stay in the neighborhood. Got a variety of things to try today from sausage egg and cheese to flavored cream cheese to just plain flavored bagels. The sesame, cheddar and garlic bagels were chewy with a nice crust. Oddly, the plain was bit softer but maybe it was coz of the multiberry cream cheese filling? The berry cream cheese was bit too smooth almost buttery, would prefer it less churned and chunky. Overall, a great addition to the neighborhood. We'll definitely be back to try the french toast bagel (ran out today), other spreads and sandwiches. read more

My favorite bagel place!! I am so happy they opened a few blocks from me. I won't go anywhere else now. I order from them frequently & I love that they don't over charge, great quality ingredients, strong coffee (I drink it black), and the service is AMAZING. The guys in here are so nice! I love that they deliver too! I did delivery a few times & got my food on time.. but I usually just walk in since I live so close. I always get different stuff - bagel & lox, cold cuts on a bagel, bacon egg and cheese to name a few - all amazing. For the bad review comments below based on delivery service -- I think people need to understand that it is hard to find delivery staff especially someone with a car & need to be a little more understanding before ordering delivery. What I really appreciate from them is that if you write a note on your order actually read it and if they are not sure they call you to double check. Great job! I have ordered; the sammy (great choice and deff a full meal), the breakfast platter with french toasts (home fries, ham, eggs, cheese - order if hungry) they throw in two little muffins which I have learned to love the surprise (you never know which flavors you are going to get so fun treat) the sandwiches are good, well balanced and decent amounts.
