I had a 30 year old Train AC that was still gallantly chugging along but was starting to show signs…read moreit was past time to replace it. I had three different companies in Springfield come out and provide quotes. The Jon Wayne Heating and Air quote for a new Train unit was right in line with one other companies quote for the same equipment. I am a real researcher before a big purchase kind of guy, so I pretty much knew what I needed and the brands that were going to meet those needs before I even had one guy out. All that was left was convincing me who to use. The third company tried to sell me on a unit I didn't want so was out of the running right there. I was pleased that all of the different companies were similar in prices, but Jon Wayne Heating came recommended from a friend who used to work in the business. The owner himself came out, and I didn't feel like I just had some slick salesman working me over. He listened to my questions and was able answer them immediately and took the time to go over everything in detail. They also handled any City Utilities tax breaks and Train rebates so I didn't have to worry about that. On the day of the install the guys came out on time, were thoroughly professional and had the new system up and running without any issues. Before they left I inspected everything closely myself and asked a few questions which they were happy to answer. I have a great new system installed at a more than reasonable price in my opinion but to be honest the big selling point wasn't the price, it was the professionalism of the company that won me over.

They came at the end of their workday, and ran into issues. Unexpectedly, my base had shocking issues. They helped us try to troubleshoot, plan the best way to settle the problems they found within the time pressured frame we are in, (we will be buying a new unit at a local store) and then told my partner he was stopping the service charge, not charging me at all, since he was not going to be adding the freon as planned. Steve Head came out to inspect the chimney on my new (60 year old) house. He did a thorough…read moreinspection and found that the crown had disintegrated and the flashing had separated over time, leaking water down the chimney rusting out the chimney liner, and there were gaps in the masonry. I know he wasn't just making this up as he went along because he took all sorts of pictures. At one point hit the inside of the chimney with a screw driver and huge pieces of rusted metal just rained down on him. It was super chilly during the week when I had him come out, and I asked him what would have happened if I had lit a fire in the fireplace. He said I would have been very warm standing outside the house watching it burn down. Yikes!!! I come from AZ, where fire places aren't used for much more than decoration, but I had the fireplace checked because the only thing I fear more than pissing off my wife is dying by fire. If you're putting off having your chimney cleaned, I would strongly recommend against it. Get it cleaned and inspected. The cost of the work wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, and the piece of mind is priceless!

It comes with a 10 year parts, 1 year labor warranty. The day of installation, James and his employee arrived as promised and removed my old equipment and installed the new. The installation required replacement of some copper lines and pvc run under the house as well as some fabrication of sheet metal. They worked steadily and methodically. They probably could have finished sooner if I didn't ask questions, however, James had told me previously that it would be about 5 hours. That proved to be very accurate to within just a couple of minutes. Everything was done well. I paid particular attention to the soldering of the copper lines and the bending/alignment of same. I haven't seen or done it better. Job was finished, new thermostat installed and system tested. Work area cleaned and everything hauled away. Now it's only been a day, but having watched the installation and having confidence in the brand, I have questions as to the quality of work or the brand. I feel we were treated well, treated fairly and recommend Show-Me Heating and Cooling in Springfield, MO (there are others) without hesitation.
