After 1/2 dozen times or so of playing I'll fill it in and you dig it out again with some little nameless, faceless albeit ambitious opponent and seeing it was now creating a burrow near my drain pipe I decided I better call professional "critter deportation. But, above all else no matter what it was I didn't want it hurt or killed. At first I didn't have an inkling what it could be and frankly I didn't care. I owned pet rats growing up so even the vilest of vermin to most people is still wrong to kill to ME! Just an FYI of useless trivia. There is an honest to God study that showed children that own rats as pets have an easier time learning concepts and remembering them. No idea why this is so, but it was a valid study. Parents, your kids need rats! But, I digress. Anyway, I began using Yelp to call several places to get prices and opinions on what it could be while avoiding the business' that showed pics of them killing intrusive animals. It's was enlightening. Like all business' you get the gamut of highly professional to rude and aloof to stupidity that even you know is wrong. One of the business' I called (on Yelp) looked at the pics and said "I'm going to do you a favor and save you a bunch of money! This is from your sprinklers." I replied really? Hmmmm that's odd because when I fill the holes the very next day there are little mounds of dirt opening the hole again with VERY obvious big claw marks in it. Plus, it's also odd because we just laid our irrigation system and we have absolutely NO piping in that area. His response: "All I can tell you is what I know, and I KNOW this is from your sprinklers." Shaking my head I was done with nonsense so after calling several and getting exorbitant fees, idiot ideas, and people who didn't call you back I finally reached Bobbie Sue the owner of AAA Critter Trapper. She responded immediately, her fees were reasonable and she could be here the next day. Can I get an Amen?!?! She also guaranteed me that she traps humanly and releases not killing or even harming the animal. She was here first thing the next day with her team. She identified the holes as being from an armadillo (other knowledgable people had advised the same) and began by fencing off all the entrances & exits and putting a trap inside. Because armadillos move around and sometime have several burrows I had been adcised already that trapping it wasn't guaranteed. She left the fencing up and the trap in it for 3 days. When nothing was found in the trap she assured me it was safe to assume the burrow was unoccupied and filling it in wasn't going to trap and kill an animal inside. Her and her team did the work filling in the holes starting with jagged marble rocks. She advised me that most animals can't or won't dig out the blunt sharp rocks that can be found at any garden center. She advised me to then cover them in top soil to allow my lawn to recover the areas and finally she advised me how to clear our lawn of Grub Worms which is what the armadillos are looking for to begin with. I was elated by her prompt response, professionalism and her regard to resolve the matter completely. The morning they came to remove the fencing and close the burrow holes it was pouring rain. Her and her team couldn't have cared less. They did the work they needed to do never making the rain an issue. I guess when your job involves working out in the elements, the elements don't stop the work. So, If you have an issue with rodents, wild life, or problems from intrusive animals I highly recommend Bobbie Sue and her team. A woman is the right man for the job!

I highly recommend them and I'm asking for a pest control quote to possibly displace my current Big Brand service. I definitely prefer to support a small, local business that does excellent work.

Failure to disclose fees by manager Brian during conversation about restarting service…read more The email below was an internal message sent to inform their team how extraordinarily dissatisfied I was with how they handled the call - BTW, I went with Hewitt and they were wonderful! Hi Team, Andrew has decided not to reinstate his PC services, citing that Brian did not disclose there would be a reinstatement fee of $141 at the time of their conversation. He feels it was unprofessional that all requirements to resume service were not fully communicated upfront. Andrew has paid the outstanding balance of $47.00, but remains adamant that the reinstatement fee was never discussed. He expressed strong dissatisfaction with how the matter was handled and stated he intends to post a negative review on public platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and others to share his experience. Best regards, Ebony GINNY WHITE -sadly, you missed the point entirely. Not sure if that was due to avoidance or ignorance. The fact is that your manager Brian FAILED TO DISCLOSE all the fees that would be incurred by restarting service. He merely skipped over that fact thinking he had duped me. Guess what, NOT TODAY!! And one other thing. At HEWLETT, if you reinstate service within 6 months there is no additional fee. Maybe your business model should be revised to keep up with the competition! Truly Nolen Pest & Termite Control (Owner) 43 minutes ago Andrew, I responded to you on your Yelp review. I believe that the reason for the full $141 charge and not the $47 per month is because you cancelled 5 months ago and you had a balance of $47. We are sorry to lose you as a client. Sincerely, Ginny White Truly Nolen of America Inc.

If you have an issue in-between the quarterly you call and they come its rather simple. So now I get a call from Richard that he needs to come and I assume it is the quarterly thing so we schedule it. He arrives with his son and start doing their thing. I then see after about 5 minutes that Richard is now on break and his son is doing the heavy lifting. after around 20 minutes Richard says how do you want to pay? I ask for what? and he says I need $350 for your yearly new contract. I share with him that I am moving in a couple of months and was not planning on renewing the contract as I had thought this was a quarterly service call. Richard gets upset over this and shares with me that he must have obviously shared this information with me because he has been doing this for23 years and never makes mistakes obviously the mistake must be on my part and he needs to get for standing next to his truck on a break while his son busts his ass. I reply if you had said anything at all about a fee I would have shared that I am moving and dont bother doing or coming or spraying as I will not need a new contract. Richard then states well that is fine give me $200 then for my time. Boy I would like a job that pays $200 for 5 minutes of work and then 15 minutes of a break and then payday. That sounds like a hell of a job to me. Now Richard offers to be reasonable and says give me $125 we did a lot of work here and dont work for free. I point out to him that I was never told that this was the renewal and if I had I would have stated my concerns before he arrived. Now on his way out the door I have gone from a long term loyal customer to an "asshole" who steals from people. interesting his that occurs so fast. Richard likes to whine and complain and personally I was not going to renew the contract because who needs that? If you do business with Richard make sure everything is in writing upfront. That way maybe you also won't be called an Asshole for not paying when being extorted. Thanks for reading Eric Stevens
