Scot was incredibly thorough in his inspection of our newly purchased home. He spent around 3 hours inspecting and documenting every inch of the place. He hung out afterward to give us his impressions and assessments even prior to us being emailed the very comprehensive report the next day, which even allows us to make a "to do" list based on his recommendations. His pricing was competitive as well and on top of that, he's also a nice guy. Highly recommend. read more

No one wants the inspector hanging around their house all day. As a professional he should be able to get his job done in a timely manner. His report, all in red, is unreadable. dramatizing every flaw of a 45 year old home. Our last inspector broke all down into categories of what was a hazard and what was something to be aware of. The report was simple to read and understand- Not so with Baker. As sellers or buyers we need to know what is a red light issue and the report needs to be clear on this -not dramatizing every tiny thing he finds Regardless of what the website says about Covid-19 caution he did not wear a mask or take any safety measures that we could see. Sorry would never have this company back at any of my properties again. read more

Working with the Baker Inspection Group team was wonderful - scheduling was simple, pre/during/post inspection communication was clear and thorough, and the report document was extremely organized and easy to read. The option to auto-generate a "repair list" directly from the inspection report PDF was super helpful. I highly recommend this company and would utilize them again. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. They are professional and have a good sense of humor! A winning combination. It was a very, very thorough job. After 4 hours work inspecting everything single thing - from the attic to the tiny crawl space he earned his fee! Within a day our report was completed and delivered by email. He highlighting the areas that needed immediate attention and those we could do over time. We are purchasing an older home and we understand there would be more than a few areas we needed to address, so there was no real surprises. I would highly recommend Baker Inspection. And the Booklet he gives for free will help any homeowner. Overall it was a very good experience. read more

Scot was excellent! He was on time, he introduced himself and then went right to work. He was very professional while maintaining a very kind demeanor. His inspection was extensive, covered everything and was thorough. Upon completion, he went over ALL of the items that he noted, providing us with a detailed explanation accompanied with pictures. He took his time and answered ALL our questions before he left the property. He explained the timing of receiving his full inspection report via email and how to navigate his inspection report. He invited us and encouraged us to call the office and ask any questions and to ask for help should we need it in navigating his in depth extensive property inspection. WOW!!! We were truly blown away by ALL that Scot did and ALL that his inspection covered. I would definitely use Scot and his company again. I highly recommend Baker Inspection Group. April M. read more

Baker Inspection Group - Scott was extremely professional and answered all of my questions and the buyers questions regarding the property. - Home Inspectors Near Me - Modesto, California

Very thorough, very complete. Would recommend to anyone. Wish every home inspection was as complete.

In this day of age it's amazing if the contractor shows up on time, but it's ABSOLUTELY a miracle when they show up a few minutes early to start work. Our home inspection was as thorough as possible. If you're a buyer or seller this is the inspection you need. As a future seller I've got zero hesitation that another inspector will find any additional decencies. Plan accordingly when scheduling for their inspection. Our home took approximately 3.5 hours. The report is easy to read and to follow. If I could use these folks in Tennessee I would. This service was an awesome investment and a much needed peace of mind knowing ALL areas that need a little TLC. Thank you BIG for having higher than industry standards. read more

Scot was AWESOME - extremely thorougher on our home inspection - we were in escrow and he came out as soon as he could. He was so patient as the house was large and oddly had 4 attic spaces. He went over all the MOST important issues of the home face to face - and the rest we received in email. He was willing to go through each item with us but we felt no need - if it was not the important ones. He was very professional and would use him again on our next purchase! read more

Scott Baker recently inspected a home that I'm in the process of buying. He was very friendly and he assured us that he would explain all of his findings in detail. His thorough inspection of the home took about 2 1/2 hours in total. When he had finished his walk through, he showed us images of his findings and explained the comments he made on a digital copy of his report. He clearly explained the cause of any damage and gave us rough estimates of what we might expect to pay for some of the repairs; he even suggested some creative ways to update the home without breaking the bank. We had a great experience with the Baker Inspection Group and would definitely recommend them to friends or family in the future. Thanks Scott! read more

Patient, Thorough and punctual. Scot did a great job identifying minor issues and potential safety issues with full details and explanation before the final report and more so on the actual report. Their system allows you to pin point and identify the items you wish to discuss/negotiate with the seller prior to purchasing the home. Estimated repair costs would have been the icing on the cake. We used Baker Inspection Group for our home inspection in July 2015. I did a good amount of research to find an inspector and decided to go with Scott and Deanne because of their very quick responses, competitive pricing and the quality of the product they presented (take a look at their sample reports and the extra benefits you get (Recall Check, Mold assurance etc). They are a first class operation and we highly recommend them to anyone out there looking for an inspector in the bay area (they service the entire area). Our inspection took about 3.5 hours and Scott was excellent, he was very thorough and know's what he is doing. He also a very nice person and very patient in answering all of our questions and concerns. After the inspection we got the report back the same night! Their report is one of the most comprehensive one's you'll find in the market. Very detailed, pictures and good explanations to back up everything. They even encourage you to contact them after the inspection for any follow up questions. They also provide you with a great homeowner manual which is especially great for new homeowners. The other reviewers are spot on, the service they provide has been one of the highlights in our home buying process! read more

I had an appointment with my clients and Scott this past weekend. There was an issue getting inside the home and we weren't able to get in for another half hour. Scott kept his smile and said, "Well I'll just start on the outside then". He kept a great attitude. Scott was very professional and gave a very detailed packet afterwards. It was my first time using him, and won't be the last. Thanks again Scott! Justin Reed Reed Realty (209)410-1386 read more

The Baker inspection group is a scam. Do not waste your time or money. The 15th of January, they were to perform a four point inspection at a house in Perry, Florida. Insurance companies require an inspection before they will provide an insurance premium. The report came back that the metal roof had "damage". Then the insurance company told me to go to the town, pull a permit, have the repair done, then have the house reinspected. I use to do roof work. That roof was in excellent condition. There were two small spots on the roof that had leaves bunch up and hold water causing a little surface rust. That is not damage, just needed to be repainted, around 25 bucks to do it myself but the insurance company would not have that. I told the insurance guy that I will not pull a permit and waste thousands of dollars on a felonious repair when I could do it myself for 25 bucks. Because of that lie Baker inspection group put on the report, my wife and I lost the earnest money, the inspection cost, the appraisal cost, and the house, not to mention if I had the fake repair done and paid for the permit and reinspection. That lie cost us thousands that would have just cost me 25 bucks. In other words, this was insurance fraud perpetrated by the insurance guy, the inspector, and the repair company! Now I understand why hundreds of homes in Florida are paid for in cash! I would give zero stars if I could so I will give 1 since they were at least nice while they bent us over! If the previous reviews gave the inspectors name, since very few actually meet or see the inspector, instead of just saying "the inspector", it's more than likely a fake review. Some folks a just not that bright! read more

My experience was smooth from booking the appointment to the day of there were no issues. They sent reminders though email and the day of they were on time (10 mins early). We were home during the inspection which took 2-3 hours of which he was mostly outside the home and when he came inside we didn't feel disrupted. He was very professional and polite. The report after was ready to view online in about 24 hours and they even refer licensed contractors for any work your house needs. I will use them again! read more
