If I could rate this company higher, I would! A year ago, I had several companies come out to help…read morefix the extreme cold happening on the 1st floor of our 1929 built brick and concrete structure home. I was a bit frustrated because they were offering cookie cutter solutions/services without really identifying the issue(s) causing the extreme cold. I called Dr Energy Service (DES) and was fortunate to have the owner, Chris Shepard come out and provide an energy audit. As you can imagine with the age of our home, he discovered there is no insulation in the walls, ceilings of the 1st floor and to make matters worse, our furnace is located in the attic, which means the solution must push heat down to the lower level! This is a unique situation which called for unconventional solutions. Chris listened, educated , and offered budget friendly options, including those that did NOT use their services. He was a man of integrity, patience, and knowledge. We were very cold, and he could have taken advantage of the situation and sold us all kinds of services; but he didn't! That spoke volumes and this year I called him back and together we determined a plan of action to warm our home. On 12/31, the crew (Jordan, Tyler, Cameron, Brayden, and Jake) came out to perform the work. The guys were punctual (8:15am), professional, courteous, and worked non stop the get the work completed in a timely manner. They kept me in the loop of the work planned and a few minor changes to the plan, that often come with an older home. They cleaned up, actually left things cleaner than when they started (Don't judge me lol) I am extremely happy and I highly recommend DES and hopefully when you book your project(s), you will be lucky to have the awesome crew I had at your home.

Chris and his team were fantastic to work with. The communication throughout was great, and they took their time explaining the process and the why behind all the steps they would take. Harrison and the team took fantastic care of our home during the repair and install day. Covering the floor with paper, cleaning up (including mopping) their way out, and thorough documentation of their work. Highly recommend Dr. Energy Savers for any insulation project

Contrary to Lou R., I called upon Rich/Premier Heating & Air after 2 failed "home warranty" calls…read more Quick background: after call 1, the "servicepeople" came and promised the world. I called and they said it was "unfixable"; I told them that cannot be possible because I own the property and every... single... issue... is fixable. The "home warranty" company sent out a second opinion whereby my General Contractor was physically present to ask questions and, again, the said it was an easy fix. I called no less than 5 times over several weeks and was constantly pushed off. They didn't communicate proactively ONCE. The "office manager" finally told me that they didn't really want to attempt to fix it. That background is important for this.... I wanted a reasonable HVAC expert to come out. Rich & Premier Heating & Air had been prominently displayed across the map through Google & elsewhere. Within a week, Rich comes through..... gives a diagnosis and is able to schedule the job within 1 week! "Unfixable" and 'we don't really care' aside, he has completely fixed the issue for $1,000. It's been a week since the service was completed, and I've already sent a referral to him. Rich will approach the task-at-hand with a direct tone & cavalier attitude. STRONGLY RECOMMEND.

I called and Rich came out and diagnosed the problem with my air as a leak in the refrigerant. He…read moresaid he wasn't sure where it was and it would be expensive to find. He suggested filling up the refrigerant and seeing how long it lasted, he said it could last for 5 years. He also said my heat pump was 8 years old and near the end of it's life if it leaked again it might just be better to buy a new heat pump. He charged me $300 and left. Two weeks later I am experiencing the same problem and called him again. He was unsure of when he could get out but said a new heat pump and coil in the heater unit was needed and it would be around $3500. I decided to call Roecker and Boerger where I bought the unit from and had it installed. The person on the phone said you are still under warranty, your repairman should have known that. Today they came out and the problem was a loose nut on the heating and air unit that was leaking refrigerant. Their repairman was shocked and said this unit is in great shape. BEWARE!
