So tucked away on Front St. Is a shop with gorgeous painted cars and trucks in the parking lot that i admire every time i pass this busy garage, i pulled in spoke to Alex and his staff ....(they are ALL AWESOME!!!) long story short they ordered the part needed repaired my Bug TO PERFECTION !!! She broke down near Binghamton, NY and the tow operator (Ted from S&S Automotive - TED YOU ARE A REAL GENTLEMAN!!!) took the car to one of his friends that recently moved to Binghamton. E&J Automotive Services is the name and Eric is the owner. She broke down on Sunday late afternoon before Labor Day. I didn't think we would get anything done until Tuesday or Wednesday but Eric came in on Labor Day and looked over the car confirmed the Alternator was bad! He also did a safety inspection of the car to see if any other issues before breaking the bad news of the Alternator. He found a few other minor issues as well as a brake issue that I knew was going to need service in a few months and he went over all issues on the phone, He quoted my reasonable prices for all the work, not cheap but reasonable! If you want cheap you will get what you pay for, cheap and worthless work. He promised all the repairs would be done by end of the day about 5 or 6 due to waiting to get Alternator in early afternoon. He finished about 3:00 PM and I drove up to pay for and pick up the Vehicle. I went over the car and all work was completed as promised, car ran like a new car before the issues! He went over the safety report to tell me of tires, brakes, and other wear percentages, a great idea to let you know of how things are wearing well, uneven or out of line. I can honestly recommend to all who live near or in Ithaca, NY to go the E&J Automotive Services if in need of car repairs or if you have a possible issue that you want looked over! My only real negative is he is not near my current home and an hour to my daughters school. I can say if I need to see a Honest, Reliable, reasonably priced mechanic if I can wait to get up to him I will take my cars to Eric!!! That is how much he impressed me!
