Slice of pound cake, stored per the Lead Chemist's instructions...delicious, sweet, and moist! Addicting!

By far the best cookies EVER!!! My fave are their First Love cookies (chocolate chip), but others like the LaLa Lemons and Snickerdoodles are just as tasty! Recently, I ordered a pound cake for the holidays and my-oh-my, not only was it delicious but addicting too!!! Give them a call for your next craving, celebration, or just because. You will not be disappointed!!!

Ah-mazing! I love this place! The owner makes you feel like family and the cookies are sooooo good! ( Hint: She usually brings a new one each time she comes to Danzeisen Dairy.)I've had a little of everything and believe me, Baked Chemistry does not disappoint!

Friendly staff, quick service, deliciously airy beingets. Sold from Danzeisen Dairy (while they last) the third Saturday of each month.

We had their mango bliss and their pistachio croissant, The mango bliss was everything I hoped it would be from the moment I bit into it, full of flavor, the real mango inside was perfect. Would I buy this again,YES! Next to try is the dragon egg, but was sold out. Service was fast, although I do feel that a smile would go a long way, I don't want to take away from the pastries so my rating of stars stay. It's small inside but plenty of seating outside.

The bakery itself is very cute and inviting, but there's no indoor seating. Normally that wouldn't be a huge problem, but in May in Arizona the outdoor seating was just too hot for us to really sit and enjoy our pastries there. We ordered three pastries: the lemon cheesecake on a red velvet base, the lavender choux, and the coconut mango choux. The lemon cheesecake was absolutely wonderful -- light, airy, flavorful, and not overly heavy. Definitely a standout. The coconut mango choux was just as delicious and another item we would happily order again. Unfortunately, the lavender choux wasn't quite for us. Lavender can be tricky in desserts because it can sometimes lean too floral, and this one ended up tasting a bit soapy. The boxes for carry out are very nice and don't crush the pastries. Something small but def noticeable There are also drink options but we did not try any Even with that one miss, the other pastries were excellent and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

We got there around 8am on a Sunday and there was line but it wasn't a long wait. We wanted to get there early since we heard that items can sell out by the time they close. The stand outs for me were the Croque Monsieur & their Cruffins! They heated up our Croque Monsieur for us since we wanted to eat it in the cafe. Definitely this had to be shared between me & my friend! It's very hearty, but absolutely delicious! I'd totally get it again! The 2 specialty Cruffins we tried were a Cookies & Cream Cruffin & Blackberry Ricotta Cruffin. Both had a delicious filling and were unlike anything I've never had! They change out their flavors often, which only makes me want to come back and try their other flavors. Note: I was told that they only serve cruffins on the weekends so you have been warned! We also brought back a lot of pastries to try! Like their pistachio croissant & their Guava Cheese croissant which were my friend's favorite! They both have great flavors that you can't find elsewhere! Personally, we both tried their chocolate eclair and it wasn't our cup of tea, so I'd skip it next time for something else. My tip: If you have time, enjoy a pastry or 2 at the cafe itself, especially if it needs to be warmed. It's perfect when it comes out! The cafe seating is limited but there were open tables.

As soon as you enter, you can already smell the aromas of the pastries. The staff were super friendly. And the pastries were delicate and beautiful. My husband got the quiche and he loved it! My croissant was good. Maybe because it was sitting outside for a while, it didn't feel as airy and flaky as I expected. Also, surprisingly, their coffee was really good! Better than a lot of bakeries in the city.

To get here, there are parking lots nearby where you have to pay to park or street parking around the area. Inside, they have a nice setup with some seating and then an additional patio with more seating. Wifey and I ended up getting a spread consisting of the Sunny Burrito, Ham & Cheese Croissant, Lemon Bar, and a Strawberry Matcha. Everything we had was amazing and it was great fuel to start our day. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming.

I read that their parking lot fills up quickly but that there's a public lot across the street, so I parked there and crossed over. This cozy restaurant was fairly busy and we perused the pastry case while waiting in line, lots of tempting treats. My friend ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes which are topped with blueberries. A lot of their menu items have pork in it, but they were good about substituting. The burrito usually has schreiners chorizo, hash browns, cheddar, sunny egg and chili oil with side of salsa verde. I asked for avocado instead of the chorizo. We brought our own drinks so didn't order any. We grabbed a table on their patio since the sun wasn't over our heads yet. It's nice out there and I think they have some fans going to keep the air flowing, and there was also a natural breeze. Our food came out and they were plated beautifully. My burrito looked good, but it had too much hashbrowns and also there wasn't any chili oil, which was a bummer. Maybe they normally put it on the chorizo so they forgot to add it to my avocado. The egg was runny which I like: The salsa verde was delicious; I love cilantro and it had great flavors. I tried the pancakes and they were fairly rich but I liked the tart lemon flavor and the blueberries, one of my favorite fruits. This is a nice place to meet up (small groups) and I'm glad I visited again.

Shall we? + The space is charming, pastries' display impressive, staff seem intent, good location and vibe. - The prices, lack of a menu on display, and details. See below. Latte large requested cup and saucer and almond croissant. Inquired about quiche but did not look attractive sitting alone in plastic in a cooler. Poor thing. The Latte Latte well made, four shots. Alright, then. Good cup and saucer. Amen. Then asked about stirrers. Told to use a plastic spoon. Please tell me if anyone in France would ever stir a real hot coffee in a proper cup and saucer with a plastic utensil. Anyone? Right. Please offer wooden stirrers to guests and bonus points for a real spoon for those of us who don't want a paper cup. It really makes a difference. It would be criminal to use plastic. The (Sort Of) Almond Croissant An almond croissant is the secret test. It's like tasting vanilla at an ice cream store. Forget the others. This is the litmus. But before we talk almond, I had to do a double take on the receipt that thankfully I emailed myself. Because is this in Soho? West Hollywood? The Bay? How did this turn out to be $14? Because the almond croissant is $7. Say again. Never mind the best croissant spot in the West Village is less than that, but I took a bite, and oh my. I almost got up and said something. But I really was not in the mood. I had other things to attend to. Where do I start. Well, there was barely an almond to speak of. Hint of almond. The paste was like a disappearing act. But that I can handle. It was the texture. It was hard. Tasted old. Bland. Forgotten. Like someone forgot about the almonds, forgot them in the car. It was July 4th, and they remembered. I've had better croissants at airports. Ok, in the EU but you get the point. Did I just choose the wrong pastry, or the wrong day? They all looked pretty. Everyone got the berry thing. The Table My table was wobbly. Not awful but enough to be annoying. Between that and my phantom $7 almond croissant. The one left behind before someone remembered the almonds. That one. Can anyone use one of its cousins to hold up this table and fix this wobble? Might have been a better idea than breakfast. The Restroom Ok, cute idea to have a kitchen utensil as the restroom key. Nifty thought. Here's another. Can the liquid dispenser for soap be repaired or replaced? That too is wobbly and broken. You see the theme here. And dry hands. The (Bare) Display Case I had read about sandwiches. I love me an egg salad. The display case was bare. Maybe M-F? Lots of (plastic) pellegrinos. No Perrier or other sparkling in a real glass bottle. And definitely no Orangina. The Plants The plastic plants on each table. For the outdoors, sure. For an indoor French cafe table with $7 croissants, not so much. The theme again. The Staff They seemed stressed. I don't know why. When I ordered I felt more tension and rushed then a my corner pizza shop in NY. I don't get it. They tried though. Like it feels serious. High stakes. No smiles. All three not one smile. An Encore? Maybe. Overall, maybe. I don't know if I chose the wrong pastry and the wrong day. Could it be that. The Bread The bread looked good. I will give it that. And more expensive than my local bakery in NY. My Orwashers loaf purchased weekly is $12. And the slice it. And bigger. And they smile. But maybe if the bread is good, I am happy. It's hard to find good bread in Phoenix let alone this area. The Menu Please have it displayed somewhere with prices. Think that's a professional courtesy. I went online to see the menu from my phone. Or even a code to link. But something. A strange visit. Quite different than expected. I had hoped. Now I don't know. If anyone of the items mentioned are addressed for the next visit, whether the wobbly table, wooden stirrer or real spoon, or restroom soap, or even better a smile, or an almond more, I'd be vastly delighted. I'd love for this to work. There is time.
