A friend who lives in the central Maine area told me about Baked By Joy cookies. I've been wanting to try since especially that ube is one of my favorites. Well, I was in the area earlier this year and figured I might as well try getting one of their ube crinkles. To those who are curious, ube is a naturally purple root crop which is common in the Philippines and some other Asian countries. It's a bit sweet, it's nutty...just wonderful.
Glad I made my way to Danforth's in Hermon. The cookie didn't disappoint. It's just the right amount of sweetness. More importantly, the ube flavor is prominent. Great job, Joy
