The dishwasher refused to run right. My wife and I replaced the outlet, and that did exactly NOTHING. We try to troubleshoot what's happening, and I manage to blow the whole house breaker. I can't solve the small problem, and now I can't get the power on to the house! Wonderful! So, we go a night without power. Eat by candlelight and play games together on our phones rather than watch TV. The next morning, Chris answers the phone right away. Another 20 minutes and $140, and we are launched, happily back into the 21st Century. I asked for an explanation, and after laying the issue out 3 times, I think I get it. There's a tab on the outlet that must be broken off before it's installed in a situation like ours. Because we didn't, it overloaded the system and blew the breaker. Our specific main breaker switch is so sticky or unused that it took a surprisingly manly amount of force to get it to move, and as a dude who's broken a couple dozen things by torquing on 'em too hard, I'd been hesitant to apply the force required to actually flip the switch. Thank you, Chris, for your quick, cheerful, capable response. It's nice to have things working again the way they should.

I opted to have someone come out just so I can be clear on what I'm looking for. Prior to arrival I received a text that Sam was en route. Sam arrived on time, and looked at where I wanted the outlets and quickly provided me a quote. I went ahead and called back to accept the quote, and Sam was able to come out the next day. Sam and Dallas showed up on time and went straight to work. They were both hard working, respectful, personable, and extremely knowledgable. They installed 4 GFCI outlets and replaced another outlet in about 3 hours. I was very impressed because every time they wanted to move personal items on the countertop they would ask me first. Sam also noticed that I was working, so he would warn me when it was going to get loud, and asked if I would be in any meetings or if it was okay to shout out to me - I found this to be extremely considerate. I asked Sam a few questions about what he thinks I should and shouldn't consider, and he was very honest. Five companies offered me quotes ranging from $2,500-$4,000 for the same work Hangtech was offering to do. Their bid was the lowest-$1,500 , including pulling permits. I don't know how you leave a review for a company you never bothered to use but every vendor has reasons for offering their quotes. In a lot of these cases you're getting a better quality/more capable panel. And I was told that this Square D Panel(trusted brand) has an overflow built in, giving it an extra layer of protection in case of a short. It's also expandable if you need to add things like a tankless water heater, which the one AA mentioned does not do. For me, I'm very happy. Adam and his crew did a solid job on the install and were very professional -all at a very fair, competitive price.

I called Marat, told him I wanted a 200 electrical panel, and he was able to quote me with an excellent price by seeing a picture via text of the existing electrical panel. Given that it was my first time buying a home and not knowing anything about permits and the procedure, Marat walked me through it. He advised that I needed to call LADWP to schedule an appointment with a tech who would mark the spot of the new meter. He then said once there is a meter spot, Marat will get to work --and he did immediately after I got the meter spot. In fact, Marat was there the next day! He worked on the panel for a couple of days, along with his son, and once he installed it, he took care of scheduling the appointment with LADBS. Since I saw how excellent Marat was as an electrician, I also had him install recess lighting in the living room, hallway, family room, and kitchen (amazing job) . As you can imagine, it gets pretty warm in the summer. Anyway, we wanted a ceiling fan, but because it is a cathedral style, most companies recommended we install it off-center. Sure, we could have, but we didn't want to. Without existing electrical, they got it wired up with switches and everything it needed. They also installed the fan for us. They used a particular style of bracket for this type of installation. It looks wonderful, it's sturdy and it was done correctly; no Mickey Mouse stuff- just what we wanted. They always returned calls, emails, etc., quickly. Totally professional but friendly to boot. Can't recommend them enough! We'll be calling them if we need more electrical work in the future!
