Sounds vain, I know, but I spend a good part of my day in workout clothes and shorts, and I don't like to shine like a beacon in the night. However, I'm not a big fan of tanning beds anymore since several friends who were bed users got skin cancer. So instead, I head to Absolute Color for some fake tanning! They are a small clean little establishment, offering 1 mystic tanning booth and 1 tanning bed. It's a couple of blocks from my house, so it's quite convenient, although the price of $25 per tan is probably not the best out there - it is $20 all day on Saturdays. Their machine is always in working condition, and the facility is clean. I took off a couple of stars because their hours last year were not always reliable, and I would go there when they were supposed to be open and there were already closed. That happened a couple of times, but I guess that's what happens when you've got teenagers running the place! Warning: make sure to listen to the directions that the machine gives you - I almost ended up like Ross in the hysterical "Friends" episode my first time - so listen and turn!

I have never had a lighter tan from there and my hands are so unevenly sprayed. The previous time I came in, my hands were also so unevenly sprayed. Not sure if they just changed staff recently but the girls there now seem to not know what they are doing. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Find another place.... I will.
