Chicken Fajitas
Syreena M.

First timer! Got a chicken fajita plate & nacho burrito combo with guacamole & chips. Just two workers but it was a slow night for them. It was pretty clean. Quick service. Love the salsa bar! Chicken fajita plate with corn tortilla. Maybe shouldve done flour tortilla but other than that it was good. Flavorful and chicken was tender! Not dry at all. Only complaint was the rice was a little dry or undercooked? 8.5/10 Chicken Nacho Burrito was massive! All the flavors went well together. Little skimpy on the sourcream to nacho cheese ratio but it was tasty! Good amount of jalapenos in it aswell. Again chicken was nice and tender. 8.5/10 aswell. Guacamole and chips went well together but if it was just the chips, you can taste it going stale. I like the molcajete salsa! Nice chunky and spice. Salsa verde was not spicy at first but the more bites you eat with it, you'll feel the heat later. It was a little on the salty side. Definitely will come again for the burritos! It could serve 2!

Just posting a picture of my "steak" burrito, super disappointed, as you can see there's no steak just rice.

two trays of salad and a bowl of salsa

The food was outstanding. Fresh and seasoned. The chicken was tender, very delicious. The chips and salsa tasted fresh. The friendly customer service was attentive and very nice. The lovely lady who took our order is named Janet, she made this experience with my mom memorable simply by being so sweet. Thank you!

Baja fresh has some decent Mexican food in the area. The prices of everything have increased but for one Baja burrito and two tacos and a water you're talking $25. It does take a little bit of time to make the food. You also get two bags of chips for the salsa taste great also.

Better location and staff then most. I normally don't review chain fast food type joints but this one is worth receiving a kudos! Clean, quick, and friendly service. Even during lunch rush I find this place is quick and getting you in and out with a fresh meal. Major fan of the Baja shrimp bowl! Amazing flavor and at $8 it's the perfect lunch.

Even though the food wasn't impressive this time, the customer service was! We sat on the lovely enclosed patio. Vanessa was our server. Her service was 5 star! She was friendly, checked in on us, and all around went above and beyond! The food was pretty good. I got the single portion chicken fajitas. The chicken was very tender. The dish as a whole was lacking flavor. Dare I say it could have even used salt. I was a bit disappointed, but very hungry. I ate half and took the rest home. My mom got the 2 item combo with a chili relleno and beef taco. She loves chili rellenos, but was not happy with hers. Her plate was covered in cheese, but the relleno had no sauce she said. The taco was just beef with a little cheese and a few strands of lettuce. Nothing like the pictures on Yelp. My dad got the taco burrito and he enjoyed his! We loved the chips, salsa, and bean dip! The young guy refilling chips/dip was on top of everything and very sweet! Although we weren't impressed this time with the taste of the food, I will definitely be back to try again!

Could name all combos of sauces for a bite and the turn out is always delicious. Needless to say portion of ingredients is always proper. Service was great as usual as it moved fast from cashier to cooks and food was ready in about 5 mins. Ambiance is always good here busy or slow. Considering I went on a Monday afternoon with steady traffic still a good environment to be at with the aroma of good food, sounds of hustle and bustle in the background but overall peace with company as I enjoyed and ate my burrito. If not nearby they do announce the customers name over a speaker especially if one grabbed a table on the other side of the produce area. They served up tacos, burritos, plates and other Mexican specialties and prices were reasonable for what you get. We got two plates which came with rice, guacamole/sour cream/salsa and refried beans along with choice of corn or flour tortillas. Carnitas was lean and tasty. Al pastor plate seemed to have a slightly different seasoning than the other Mexican restaurants closer to us. It was still a good and filling. One thing to note was that the parking lot was shared with the American Legion next door so if they hold an event then the lot gets packed. Luckily we didn't have to wait too long for one spot to open u

The staff are always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they consistently make you feel like a valued customer every time you walk in. The food is just as impressive. Everything I've had there has been fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It's one of those places where you know you're going to get a great meal every time. Great people, incredible food, and a place I'll keep coming back to. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

I was one of Hectors biggest fans until today. Came in. I was literally the only person there. Ordered two tacos to eat there. The older incredibly RUDE lady began packing up my order and I said I was eating there. She angrily snapped at me. "Did you say so when you ordered". I said "Yes". Then things got even worse when I had the audacity to ask for ONE extra salsa. Just one. She immediately began talking CRAP about me (RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME) in Spanish. BIG mistake. While I might look like a gringa, I grew up in Mexico. I am Mexican. Spanish is my first language. How dare she start talking crap about me for politely asking for one extra salsa REALLY!!!! I understood every grunt of vile disgust coming from her. Hector, we have met. We've talked. We've laughed when I told you you needed to serve beer. You can see my previous review. HOW CAN YOU LET THIS HAPPEN???? I would tell absolutely everyone about your amazing tacos. NOT ANY MORE. I am so disgusted. She thought I was white and she could disrespect me because I wouldn't understand and you weren't there. Are you serious??? This is what you allow to represent your business. You raise your prices and allow your staff to trash talk the customers. Mind blown. Loyal customer LOST. I UNDERSTAND THE WORLD IS CRAZY RIGHT NOW BUT THIS WAS LITERALLY REVERSE RACISM. SHE CLEARLY HATES WHITE PEOPLE. IN THIS ECONOMY. YEAH, HATING WHITE PEOPLE IN CAMARILLO, NOT GREAT FOR BUSINESS. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!!!

The decor is a blast from the past and looks like it did inside when I first stated coming here, so they haven't done much to the place but to me that gives this spot that old school charm. I personally love the old time decor and owls all around the restaurant. I find their booths to be cozy and comfortable. The menu is also pretty large with all of the classic dishes. The staff have always been nice when I've come in. They are attentive, friendly and the food is whipped up quickly. Happy hour menu seems to bring in the crowds but I do think there are other places with a happy hour menu that gives you more bang for your buck than here. The food is average in many ways but very comforting. Probably I'd rate all of the different dishes I've tried between 3.5-4 stars depending what you get. I really love their albondigas soup and that's one of my favs. Never steers me wrong. Also their crunchy shell tacos aren't bad. I came for a beef taco with rice and beans and was pleasantly surprised. This isn't Michelin star food people - just classic no frills Mexican food that seems to have kept them operating all this time, impressive if you ask me. My last pro tip is the margaritas are stellar. Huge fan of their mango marg and I'd come back for this alone. Just at $15 that's a little hefty for a hole in the wall spot like this. Same with the food. Two margs and two simple smaller main plates ran us $70 after tax and tip. Seems like it's hard to get a good deal nowadays but for keeping these local gems open, I'll always do my best to support.
