The biggest issue though was with the nurse. I recently moved out of state and was told I'd be able to fill my meds one time while I find a new doctor for my kid. Once I moved though, the pharmacy told me no because the doctor wasn't liscenced here. Okay I will have it sent back to my old pharmacy in silverdale and have a family member mail it to me overnight. That pharmacy was out of stock until the following week. So I ask them to send it to Fred meyer. They end up sending the wrong script and I call to let them know. The nurse said the doctor isn't going to fill another script because he already tried three times and is no longer comfortable. I tried explaining the whole thing but she treated me like an idiot and told me he probably won't send another request because he has so already a few times. I again tried to explain and she interrupted to tell me they already tried sending it. I was so upset and my son is one day away from being out of medication at this point. Thankfully the on call doctor realized their mistake and corrected it. I just couldn't believe how rude and dismissive this nurse was. I would give them 4 stars but the support staff really needs to be worked on.

My experience with Devorah has not been positive, but that doesn't mean yours wouldn't be…read more I came to her as a highly complex case with multiple severe long-term health issues. She recommended three treatments in one week, and for all of them I was on the table 45 minutes or longer (I believe one was an hour and a half). When I inquired as to the ideal frequency of visits I was told that coming in as often as possible is best. After the third visit, my health crashed with incapacitating symptoms of overexertion. I also began having significant breathing trouble from an ongoing throat issue that Dr. Steinecker had been fully briefed on in our first meeting. After several hours of throat wheezing with each breath I made contact with Dr. Steinecker, calmly communicated what was happening, and was advised to "talk myself down" and counseling was the recommended treatment. I now see a different cranial osteopath. The throat/breathing issue also happened the day after my second treatment from him. Rather than assuming psychological origin, he made various physiological recommendations that relieved the situation and has since identified the problem. Also, he finds that half an hour every 2-3 weeks is plenty and is extremely cautious about over-treating any of his patients. I solicited a third opinion from another cranial osteopath who agreed the treatment I received from Steinecker was far more than *any* person ought to be given at once, let alone someone in my state. Devorah is a humorous, easy-going, compassionate doctor with skilled hands and significant ability to sense exactly what manipulation is called for and where in order to alleviate pain and other issues. It's mind-blowing, and if that's all you need then you may well have a satisfying experience as her patient. However I required a higher degree of sensitivity to my body's limitations and a more scientific approach than immediately passing off confounding issues as psychological problems. As a result, she lost my trust and my business.

She is a highly knowledgable, relatable, brilliant, outstanding health professional with a "can-do" attitude (even when me as a Patient believed being pain-free would be difficult to achieve). Basically, after a horrendous car accident and utilizing many practitioners a colleague pointed me towards Dr. Devorah Steinecker. And boy am I ever glad they did. Dr. Devorah is an amazing multi-talented Dr. who is known as a phenomenal paediatric working with autistic children - but my friend also shared she is also a prominent Neurologist (and I was referred via her skillsets in assisting others become painfree from accidents, injuries and such). So off I went travelling from Canada to USA: Working with Dr. Devorah has directly given me back my health and wellbeing back. The brain, neck and head injuries caused by the car accident are NOW balanced. Those who have gone through severe injuries (or seen loved ones go through such pain) can relate to what an amazing gift of being whole, aligned and physically strong again. Dr Devorah also integrates: Mind, Body, Spirit therefore encompassing the many aspects of self. So her work is powerful as it is a very personalized methodology that is NOT "cookie-cutter". Basically her work is uniquely designed and getting to know her patients on deep levels is important for she is nothing short of a miracle worker (okay I haven't seen her change water into wine - but you know what I mean)....when walking was painful , sleeping was cumbersome - being pain-free and healthy is a phenomenal gift, so I AM glad I gifted myself with the experience of working with Dr. Devorah for in doing so it gifted me back a wholeness in my Health.

TLDR: North Seattle Pediatrics is a great place to take your children for basic well child visits,…read morevaccines and other routine care. As others have noted, there is free parking and the office staff are friendly. We took our daughter there for years and were basically happy. However, I would not recommend if your child develops anything more complicated than bronchitis. When our daughter became ill with what at first appeared to be a "stomach flu" but persisted for several weeks, they minimized her suffering, told us she would be fine and to come back in a week if she was still having problems. They did not take us seriously even as our daughter lost weight and stopped being able to eat without feeling nauseous. We saw two different doctors there in addition to our primary doc because the primary was never available after the first visit. Eventually (more than three weeks after our first visit), after they finally sent her for tests, they found she was, in fact ill and it was serious after she went more than three weeks without help. Fast forward a few months and she started having different symptoms. They again minimized her symptoms and told us to come back if it continued. This time, I took her to a different doc in a different practice because I had had enough. The new doctor worriedly sent her for tests on her first visit and found that she had developed another serious condition that was brought on by her previous illness. I'm not listing the doctors' names in here because we saw three different doctors during this ordeal. The one that finally ordered the tests was Dr. Fillipo, if that helps, but we only saw him once and that was three weeks after our first visit. I rarely write reviews and typically avoid writing negative reviews, and as long as your child is normal and healthy, you will probably be fine here. At the first sign of anything serious or odd, I would run, don't walk to a different doctor's office. Edit: edited to remove specific, personal information

Six and a half years later, we really value our relationship and the care we've gotten from Dr. Doroshow. She's great with kids, calming, affectionate, realistic. She doesn't believe in lying to them -- no "this won't hurt a bit" unless it really won't! If something will hurt, she takes the time to explain why and for how long and to get their buy-in. Her office staff is good and making an appointment's usually not a problem. The after-hours nurse line has been really helpful when we have unfortunately needed it. And Carol visited my daughter every day, sometimes more than once, the sole time she had to be admitted to Children's. We drive almost an hour to get to Dr. Carol and it really is worth it. She listens to you and wants you to be involved. It's not her way or the highway; she's OK with altered vaccination schedules or skipping some or all shots. And she's really helpful with breastfeeding issues. Most importantly, my daughter loves her. That communication will serve her well as she grows and changes, and I know she will be sorry to leave Dr. Carol's practice when she's finally too old for the pediatrician. :-) Note: This is the absolute most horrible picture of Dr. Carol I have ever seen!
