He took a look at my stove setup, checked to see if the stove's inside baffle was removeable, which it is not. I explained that the initial piping above the stove was removeable to gain access from the bottom up. He suddenly told me that he decided to take a pass on doing this job and that he was not going up on the roof. I figured he decided that the job was going to take more time/effort than he thought/allocated, so off he went to his next job. Called 2 different AC places for quotes to get our air ducts cleaned. The company that starts with…read morea "G" and is hard to spell, quoted us $2500, but then told us we needed other things done. Ultimately they wanted to install a new $25,000 AC unit and would clean the ducts for "free". The second company that came out, name starts with "F", and that's what they wanted to do. We didn't even let the guy finish the inspection to get a quote because he too wanted to upsell us. We then called Gesundheit. Mr. Barker gave a quote over the phone based on the number of vents in the house. Added cleaning the dryer vent for an additional $129. The two guys that came out did a great job cleaning the vents and cleaning up after the job was done. They took care to treat our home with respect as they performed their job.
