This is shady: I called the Salinas Police Dept after receiving a collect call from jail. I was somehow automatically transferred to Bail Hotline. After filling out all the forms I was told it would be 3-5 hours. Never received a call. I was called when the person I was trying to bail out was released. I assumed Bail Hotline had finally posted the bail. Later I find out the charges were changed and no bail was needed. Two days later I get a call from Bail Hotline about the refund. I fill out more forms and when I called to check I was told something different each time. Long story short: I got my refund but never a straight answer. Why I was charged the bail when it never needed to be posted is beyond me. And why Salinas PD switched me directly to Bail Hotline on my initial call without telling me is very suspect. Warning! Do not ever use them if u want to be treated like just $ in their pocket... I called around 12 midnight filled out 3-4 different emails as requested, then called back several times before I went to bed (I was super tired). I was told all documents were received after being passed around to several different agents and that to wait April 4-6 hours and he would be realeased. I wake up to a call from the inmate around 9am (8 hours later)to tell me the officers told him he is being bailed out and that there waiting for the bondsmen to come sign documents. I called Bail hotline bail bonds back only to find out that they are now saying there missing a document and I have to wait for them to re email it to me. They charged me at 1am in the morning...I shouldn't of had to call in to find this out. We paid for service and didn't get any! I wish I could leave a negative star rating. These guys are crooks and thief's. Bc of covid my bail was revoked due to my attorney and miss communication. I was charged a extra 3800$ on top of the 9k I paid to post bond and in no shape or way will they try and work with my under this circumstance. I was never in no compliance with them or the courts and every time I try to resolve this matter I'm given a attitude and there right and I'm wrong and I have to just end the phone call. I've co-signed thru this company twice now. They were friendly on the phone and payment plans and arrangements seemed feasible. The first time I cosigned and waited three or four hours till I called them and asked him what was going on. They said another company was going to be the Bailbond. No call was made me. They sent me a refund slip by email which I returned in 2 minutes. Just to argue with them for a couple months about no longer being the cosigner and not receiving my refund till they finally took me off. Second time, the agent told me My friend just needed me to cosign for two days. When I called the office to get off of it because it had been four days nobody in office heard of a temp. Co-signer, they don't do that . Now it's been two weeks no one had called me to let me know but I call and there's a new cO-signer , great thanks..
