I had my first visit here this past week and very much enjoyed it. Good amount of seating indoors with a casual, clean interior atmosphere. Ordered myself a bento box alongside two rolls. I had absolutely zero complaints, food was great, sushi was fresh, and the bulgogi was very juicy and tender. Many times, the tempura can easily be over-fried or coated too heavily, but the coating and fry was perfect with the tempura. Thin, soft coating but thick enough to crisp. Lastly, service was extremely accommodating. I most definitely plan to pay another visit and recommend others to try as well. They have multiple lunch deals when it comes to sushi rolls, so I do recommend lunch visits for those interested. read more

One of the worst sushi places we've tried. The sushi rolls were falling apart and the spicy mayo was bitter beyond able to eat it. I've never once had spicy mayo I could NOT eat. Really good Poke Bowls, it's completely customizable and it's a HUGE portion. I couldn't even finish mine. Super tasty and made with fresh ingredients! Service was quick and staff was very friendly! I was shopping in Troy and decided I wanted to take myself to lunch. I searched for sushi restaurants near me and Bahdah was at the top of the list. I was the only customer in the restaurant but there was a steady stream of customers coming to pick up orders. I ordered the lunch special that included a firecracker roll and a spicy California roll. I also ordered a 1/2 shrimp fried rice. The waitress asked if I wanted to start with a bowl of soup and I selected miso soup. The soup was hot and flavorful. The sushi was delicious! Neither was very spicy but were fresh and had a perfect balance of ingredients. My eyes were clearly bigger than my stomach (a saying my mom used to use). Because I was full and couldn't eat the fried rice. I took the rice home and it was even good warmed up. The color was lighter than I'm used to seeing so I was a bit worried. I met a friend at BahDah Sushi for lunch today. We had a lot to catch up on, so we took a while to order (but we did get some green tea). We each got the salmon teriyaki bento box and miso soup. Everything was very good, reasonably priced and quite a bit of food; I actually needed a box for leftovers! BahDah sushi is my new favorite lunch spot! They have all your favorites and some special rolls as well! My last visit I shared the Udon and lunch bulgogi bento box with my husband. The Udon broth is one of the best I have ever tasted! The Bento box is a great deal and comes with sushi rolls, rice, tempura and bulgogi. We were here a few years ago when it was another sushi location. Well the rolls are amazing here also. We had the Halloween roll and Spicy Piston roll and really liked both. The ingredients were fresh and they were rolled well. We also had the Bulgogi bento and Salmon teriyaki bento. I like the variety of a bento box. We'll return soon. read more

Ordered take out from BahDah Sushi and was satisfied with the food I ordered. Obviously sushi is on the expensive side. In addition to two rolls, which were really good, I ordered the calamari and the crab stick tempura. The calamari wasn't anything special, very middle of the pack. I like calamari, but wouldn't order this again. The crab stick tempura was good, but it wasn't breaded and fried to the level I've had and enjoyed from other restaurants in the past. I would order this again because it was different from what I was expecting, but it was still delicious. The pickup process was very simple with nice service. Awesome experience! For our first visit, we decided to dine in. The drink menu is somewhat limited with teas and soda. We started with a house salad and seaweed salad. Great portions and prices! We also had the fried onion soup, which was a huge hit. I think we will be dreaming of it. We also had the shrimp shumai appetizer - it was pretty good but wouldn't order again. For rolls, we had the American Dream and the Mexican. Wow, very North American of us! Anyway, both were outstanding. Would definitely recommend. We also had the spicy tuna, which was very good. Finally decided to try this place out. I tried out the place before this one opened. They used to make these giant burrito size sushi rolls. Today is buy one get one free of the Philadelphia rolls. I ended up getting one of those, a lobster roll in a futomaki toll. The last roll costs $10.50, the lobster roll costs around $12.50. They said it would take about 10-15 minutes. Food was ready within 10 minutes or maybe less. The woman that waited on us had my order ready after asking if I wanted to dine-in or carry-out. The futomaki looked good, nicely packed and perfectly even cuts too. The philly rolls were so good, creamy goodness as was the lobster roll. The Philly and lobster were my two favorites for sure. The lobster roll packs a great punch of flavor, quite nice and made wish I had ordered another roll. read more

I usually order through doordash or Grubhub and haven't been inside the actual establishment but our order is always correct and they always follow any request we ask for. If we state that we have a gluten allergy in the order they will label and separate everything to make sure it is safe. If sushi does not "wow me", then I am not happy. I love sushi and am always ready for it. But this time, the sushi was not ready for me. - Spicy Dream: This was more like a spicy nightmare. It was poorly rolled and it caused every piece to fall apart. At that point, I should have just asked for a bowl and put it all in there. - Fuji Mountain: I actually enjoyed flavor of this roll mainly because of the seaweed salad top with teriyaki sauce. This roll was not rolled as poorly as the Spicy Dream. - California Roll - Firecracker and Tiger Rolls: Both of these rolls were ordered by my friend. For these five sushi rolls, a lemonade and sparkling water, it was nearly $70. I am not certain that these rolls are worth that considering the lack in roll quality. I want to be wowed and blown away when I go out for sushi; BahDah Sushi did not provide that exceptional experience. read more

You'll have to slow down on Woodward to catch this great new Sushi place. But it's more than just sushi with an authentic Korean menu also. I think this was a Poke place before and they still have Poke bowls on the menu but a bowl of raw fish and veg can only go so far. Witness Bah Dah Sushi Japanese and Korean fare. The place is spotless and well laid out to covid theater standards. Service was super prompt despite a steady flow of takeout customers. Lunch specials start at $10 and my $10 bulgogi bento box was fantastic. Miso was thrown in with the deal. What a value! Tempura, bulgogi, dumpling and cali rolls were great. The tempura was light and crispy, the bulgogi sweet and salty. Fantastic. I didn't have any of the "real" sushi but I've never seen a more colorful selection. Glad we found this place. The music is a little loud but definitely a place to try. We loved this place. Great food and quick service.

Sushi is one of the most difficult to master from a delivery perspective. The goods need to be transported in a climate-controlled environment and need to be delivered very fast. In some parts of the world, that simply is not practical. Oakland County, Michigan may be that place. I enjoyed what I ordered, but it was just ok. By the time my food reached me it was already room temperature. The company will need to improve their togo containers and maybe pursue a low-cost bag to control the temperature of the food as it is delivered. My three biggest issues besides room temperature raw fish: (1) shrimp tail was not completely removed and it highlights a lack of detail. (2) the miso soup was not s good miso soup. Nothing green and two tiny squares of tofu failed to offer the texture. While I recognize traditional miso can also lack both, I was not enamored by the broth alone here. (3) I observed a weird texture with some of the fish - not the mollusks where this is expected. Three things I liked: (1) The Fatty Yellowtail was actually quite delicious. If I ordered again, I would only order that. I plan to give in-person a try and update the review one day. Delivery Sushi is tough. (2) Excellent price. My friend and I wanted some post workout munchies, and I thought sushi sounded healthy enough, so she chose the location. We got carry-out (the norm these days, sigh). We called in our order and it was ready within 15 minutes! This was great and quick. There was a sign on the door that you must wear a mask, so she went in alone to pick up our order. She ordered veggie tempura and edamame, and I ordered a miso soup and a single raw roll. When she came out, I noticed that they had packed it all in the same bag. I don't love when sushi spots package hot and cold (raw) takeout in the same container, because it creeps me out to think the fish might get to an unsafe temp. It took us a few extra minutes to get there, so the sushi had been sitting on top of her venting vegetable tempura for maybe 5 minutes by the time we picked it up. I separated the containers for the rest of the drive home, but by the time we got back, my sushi was lukewarm. Not great sushi temp lol. The miso soup was fabulous, and the edamame was also great and perfectly salty! My friend's tempura box had been vented with little slits at the corners, so it traveled really well!! I had to put the sushi back in the fridge for a while to get to a temperature where I wanted to eat it, but once it had cooled back down, it was pretty good! Just salmon, cucmber and avocado. BahDah had some pretty solid food, but if you're going to order hot and cold foods together, I'd suggest asking for them to be packaged separately. Otherwise, great experience! read more
