We had a very unfortunate experience at Lexington eye Associates today with Dr. Doshi. We brought…read moreour two year-old child in to get checked out, and it was very clear that the doctor had very limited experience working with a two-year-old patient, having difficulty conducting any test and asking them to do things way beyond their age level, including asking them to kneel, to describe the theme of their last birthday party, and when experiencing any difficulty, displayed zero patience and simply said that we would have to come back in another year's time to run the exact same test again due to what she noted as a behavioral issue. In addition to shaming my child, she also told him that he would be getting a toy at the end of the appointment, and when our child showed difficulty in putting on the temporary sunglasses (with eyes dilated), she swiftly gave up on that idea, went back to her office, shut the door, and our child was given no toy. Arguably most frustrating was the fact that we showed up to our appointment on time and did not actually see the doctor for an hour and 20 minutes, at which point our child was already low on patience. Overall, I would've appreciated some understanding from the doctor, and at least some new information, as we will now have to wait 2 years to get a single update. Not coming back to LEA is a very easy decision to make!

The first time I went there (Concord office), the doctor had an emergency, and I had to wait over…read morean hour to see him. The second time I went (Oct 2024), a 'tech' did the refraction evaluation (read the chart) and put in the eye drops to dilate my eyes. The doc came in, spent 10 minutes with me, and the charge to BCBS (which I have a vision plan for), was $485 PLUS they charged me $65 to do the refraction eval. Neither Medicare or BCBS with EyeMed coverage covered the $65. Never have I had to pay for an annual through insurance. It's ridiculous and exhausting, and expensive. If you're worried about the cost of eggs, worry instead about the ridiculous charges from doctors of all kinds. Based on other reviews, I'm going to find myself another group to go to.

The Lexington office, specifically Emily for a ophthalmic technician, is where it's at. We went to a different location first and the technician had an awful time getting the eye drops in my kids' eyes and they were honestly traumatized by it (so was I!!). Emily in the Lexington office is AMAZING with children. She is so kind and caring and gets the kids to do all of the tests and they are psyched about it. From the magic glasses (3D test) to the pirate test (eye charts) to the dreaded eye drops... she is a star. Her method of having the child lie back with closed eyes, put in drops, and then blink, works EVERY time. We first met her when my daughters were 4 or 5 and they still ask if we're going to "the right" eye doctor when we have an appointment. She also keeps her patients updated, moving, and to get to the doctor on time. The doctors are all good across the board and across offices, but it's the technician who makes or breaks the appointment. Thank you Ms. Emily! You are the BEST!
