My experience with this office involved deceptive billing, serious privacy breaches, and aggressive collections. The 'Medical' Bait-and-Switch: I booked a standard Routine Exam. The only outcome of the visit was a prescription for glasses--no medical treatment, no medication, and no follow-up scheduled. Yet, they billed the entire visit as 'Medical' instead of 'Routine' without ever warning me, just to trigger a higher deductible. Privacy Violation & Collections: They admitted in writing that they mailed my private medical and financial records to the wrong address for five months. Because of their clerical error, I never received a bill. Instead of calling me, they simply sent me to collections without a single prior contact. Admitted Negligence: They admitted in writing they 'should have asked' for my vision plan at intake but failed to do so. Despite admitting this failure, they refused to correct the bill. I have now filed formal complaints with: MA Attorney General (Consumer Protection) U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services (HIPAA Violation) MA Board of Registration in Medicine (Professional Conduct) Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (Unfair Debt Collection) Avoid this provider if you expect honest billing and competent administration.

And I've always been able to get an appointment time convenient for me. The optical center, however, I'd give 3 stars. The selection is good, but we came back 5 times to try to get my son's glasses fitted properly so they don't slide halfway down his nose. Finally gave up and drive 45 mins to a place we trust that fixed the problem in 2 minutes. I will continue to come for the exams, no question. But I'll take the prescription elsewhere to buy glasses.

In addition to shaming my child, she also told him that he would be getting a toy at the end of the appointment, and when our child showed difficulty in putting on the temporary sunglasses (with eyes dilated), she swiftly gave up on that idea, went back to her office, shut the door, and our child was given no toy. Arguably most frustrating was the fact that we showed up to our appointment on time and did not actually see the doctor for an hour and 20 minutes, at which point our child was already low on patience. Overall, I would've appreciated some understanding from the doctor, and at least some new information, as we will now have to wait 2 years to get a single update. Not coming back to LEA is a very easy decision to make!

The emotional trauma of my deteriorating vision affecting my job, reading to the blind. I discovered in 2024, with the wonderful help of Warby Parker, that the prescription from Lexington Eye was very wrong. It was, like all my previous glasses, an old prescription from 2018 (with my prior eye doctor). Not all the updated ones I had every year from Lexington Eye. Lexington Eye (Arlington location) did a recheck and helped me with this new info, found it to be accurate and replaced by latest glasses free of charge. No apologies and no reimbursement for all the other 6 pairs that are useless to me. My latest Gucci glasses, from Lexington eye are not even as comfy as my Warby Parker. Emerson Hospital in Concord has the advantage of offering a wide range of departments supported by outstanding doctors and staff. In my experience, they have always been polite, professional, and personable. The Naka Infusion Center is fantastic. They provide each patient with a sense of privacy and comfort while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. The staff cannot do enough to help, and they maintain a terrific attitude throughout what can often be a difficult medical process. My only gripe would be the time it sometimes takes for the pharmacy to mix and prepare medications. However, when I consider all the people they serve--not only those at the Naka Center, but also patients throughout the hospital, its satellite locations, and the outpatient community--I realize how fortunate I am to be served by such a dedicated healthcare system. Regarding Emerson Westford, that is a more difficult place about which to be complimentary. I have experienced inordinately long waits for lab work and X-rays, and I have found some of the physicians there to be less attentive than what I have come to expect from Emerson. It is the only Emerson location I have visited that I have decided not to return to unless absolutely necessary. Emerson Littleton, on the other hand, has been incredibly efficient and effective, with short wait times, friendly receptionists, and professional medical care. My favorite location for medical attention and care is my local Emerson Center in Groton. The receptionists and administrative staff make you feel genuinely welcome. The nurses sincerely care about their patients, and the doctors, PAs, and NPs are, by far, among the best healthcare professionals I have encountered. To further support patient care, Groton also offers on-site lab and X-ray services, making the experience both convenient and comprehensive. Overall, while no healthcare system is perfect and there is room for improvement at some locations, my experience with Emerson Healthcare has been overwhelmingly positive. The compassion, professionalism, and dedication shown by most of its doctors, nurses, and staff have made a meaningful difference in my life, and I consider myself fortunate to have access to such high-quality care in our community.

The ladies in the lab made fun of me as I was leaving bc I told them they hurt my arm this time and last time. I saw them mock my arm words and distress which I did not appreciate it even though they had a busy day with patients and were complaining about how late they would leave that day as they were prepping me for labs. It's inconsistent with the level of care Emerson provides in all other areas of patient care.
