I've been twice now, so it's official--this place has me in a chokehold…read more Tucked away in North Scottsdale, it's quiet, chic, intimate, and both times I've visited, the restaurant has been comfortably full. Everything is clean and well-kept, bathrooms included. The chicken tikka masala is phenomenal--tender chicken in a perfectly spiced, flavor-packed sauce. The vegetable samosas are some of the best I've ever had, especially with their mint chutney, which deserves its own round of applause. I got a little excited and ate one samosa before remembering I needed a picture. Thankfully, I saved one for Yelp. And the garlic naan?! Crispy around the edges, soft and perfectly chewy, loaded with garlic and cilantro. I actually ate the leftovers the NEXT DAY. If you know me, that carries significant weight because I do not do leftovers. I literally carried that naan around until every last piece was gone. The people running the restaurant are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the service has been wonderful both visits. I've tried a LOT of Indian food, and this is easily one of my favorites. Anytime I'm back in Scottsdale, I'm coming back. The naan and mint chutney alone have secured my return.

The people here are so friendly and nice! Feels like a warm neighborhood restaurant…read more But, I have never had Indian food prepared with so much oil. So much so that I will be going to other restaurants from now on. Also, I did not receive the naan in my to go bag that I ordered and paid for. Sorry! I wanted to love it.

Came during restaurant weeks, the menu offered different options including vegan ones, my entree…read morewhich was the calamari was GREAT!! so good that I did want it to finish. It was also a decent and tolerable spicy level. Then the butter chicken was literally one of the best ones I have ever eaten. I ordered an extra one to go and it had so much! My husband and I ate it for lunch the next day and still had some left over. I don't remember the desserts names but the pistachio one was better, they were small sizes. I Don't remember the name but they gave us a really good soup to start with... stunning. The place was kinda loud but there was also a lot of people, then it got better. Decor is pretty. Will go back to try other dishes. I can see why they got their Michelin recognition.

Was so excited for this night out with my girlfriends. Unfortunately Indibar underperformed (esp…read moreform Michelin rated restaurant) and there's too many other places to try to go back. Let me start with the cocktails which were probably the highlight of the evening and the reason this place got a 4 instead of a 3. I loved that the drinks were ordered from least sweet to sweetest. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. My friends ordered Gulabo (loved the cube) and Kaali. I ordered Nutkhat rum drink which had an excellent coconut foam. My friend with Kaali switched to Nutkhat. My only comment here is give a table more than one drink menu. It took forever to order while we had to share the menu. For dinner, we ordered the chefs tasting menu but also started with an appetizer of hamachi tartare. The hamachi was completely underwhelming and flavorless. I do not recommend ordering. The first appetizer course on the tasting menu was excellent. The soup was delightful and the crispy Chana chaat was so good. We were also brought some kind of nut crisp with a yogurt sauce which was excellent. This was the best part of the dinner Next up was the lamb and chicken tamarind. The char on both was very good but unfortunately both were very dry and this was served with no sauce. Didn't really get to enjoy it bc of the lack of sauce. For the main dish we were served coastal prawn curry and butter chicken. It came with lentils (the best part of the dish - very good). The curry broth was good. The shrimp were overcooked. The butter chicken was moist and fine (it's just not my favorite dish but if you like it, it would be good). Food was also constantly served cold. I would say overall slightly above average here. Three deserts were served and all quite enjoyable. The outdoor patio was nice and private. One of the biggest issues we had with our meal was that we were completely rushed through every course. The waitress was nice but did she have somewhere to go? Was it the kitchen? I'm not sure. It wasn't a need for table space. Literally they asked to clear our plates while we were eating. At one point my friend was asked to choke down her appetizer so they could take the plate. Were they out of plates? I was asked to clear my dinner while I was literally chewing and eating. They dropped the bill during deserts and literally came back to ask us to pay when we had only taken one bite of desert. This was extremely stressful. I don't know how many times one of us had to say "we are still eating". We were never allowed to enjoy our course and just relax before the next course. I was so stressed about them asking about the bill that that we couldn't even finish desserts. We decided to just leave. This was a problem so I suggest teaching either the staff or kitchen about the pacing. We dropped over $500 for three people and for that price, please let me enjoy my meal.

We went to PEACOCK last night with family and friends and it turned out to be such a fun evening…read more We'd invited dance master SHEKHAR along too, which added a nice festive touch. Food wise, everything hit the mark. The Angara Chicken was smoky and full of flavor, Paneer Tikka Achari had a nice tangy kick, and the Lamb Chops were so tender they were probably the highlight of the table. Our server RITHU was great through the meal, polite and quick with suggestions when i couldn't decide on something. I tried to order the Apricot Delight at the end but the kitchen had already shut. She still checked for me and managed to get it anyway, which was a really nice gesture and the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, great food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back to Peacock!

Pair it with their garlic naan a couple of gulab jamuns for dessert and I am in heaven. We've also tried the Chicken 65, which leans more toward a chatpata chicken but it's delicious and a great bar snack/app. I'd definitely recommend ordering it during happy hour. The wine selection is just okay, and while the Butter Chicken and Tandoori Chicken were decent, they weren't particularly memorable. The ambiance is a little dark and feels slightly dated, but since I mostly order takeout, it doesn't bother me much. Overall, if you order one thing from Peacock, make it the Dal Makhni. Trust me you won't regret it.
