Combination Banh Mi (yum!) Peach Tea was good but sugarcane was meh
Kelly D.

They know how to pack their banh mi because it is stuffed! Their meat-bread ratio is to my preference (more meat obvi) and their bread was reminiscent of Vietnam's. It's in a weird lot that doesn't get much foot traffic so it does feel a bit sketch but people are walking in and out of here with bags of banh mis. Loads of parking but if you need a bathroom, it's best to go down to the laundromat at the end of the parking lot. It seems like a lot of people do phone orders and take out but there are tables inside if you want to dine-in. I'd skip the Sugarcane juice because it was super sweet with a weird aftertaste...but I definitely will come back for their banh mis again

I ordered the combination and fried pork skin bánh mìs along with a Vietnamese iced coffee. The sandwiches were really good the bread was extra crispy and you can tell it's fresh since they bake it in-house. It had that perfect crunch on the outside without being too hard, and everything tasted well-balanced and flavorful. They were out of the pork belly (which is only available on certain days), and I was a little disappointed about that, but the combination more than made up for it. Overall, solid spot for a fresh bánh mì and strong Vietnamese coffee. I'd definitely go back.

Newly opened vietnamese cafe that sells banh mi and diffent drinks. The place was nice, the owner are very friendly. The banh mi was tasty, they did not skimp on the meat. The price was descent. They bake the bread in house. Good place to try.

Banana Milk Tea with Boba

The combination Banh Mi was thick and fresh. It comes halved and can be quite messy to eat because there's so much filling. The banana milk tea was super sweet and reminds me of syrup, so I recommend halving the sugar. The boba was chewy and plentiful for 50 cents. For takeout, I was in around 12:20 and out by 12:30. The shredded pork had run out by then.

What a wonderful experience! The lady that helped me was so polite and friendly! She helped explain the menu and was suggesting menu items but was not pushy about it. The crispy pork belly is only severed on the weekend so she recommended that and I was like "why not!" If I can only get it on the weekend. We had a great talk about life and all as well. Packaged well for to-go and the flavor was bold and rich. I will definitely be coming back here again! Plenty of seating space and it seems like a new establishment. Very clean and organized.

I had been eyeing this place for a while and finally was able to stop by here and I regret waiting so long! The store was very clean and has some seating for 1- 4 people but I wouldn't suggest coming with a large group as space is limited. Many people had to-go orders and I could tell they have a lot of regulars. My husband and I both got a banh mi and a tea. They bake their own bread and make the sandwiches up front so you can see everything come together. Everything on our sandwiches was very fresh and they do no skimp on anything. The bread is filled to the brim and everything was delicious! While I do enjoy pate this was a little much for my personal taste because they do not skimp, but you can modify sandwiches as you like. The tea was very refreshing and honestly we can't wait to go back. Best banh mi we have had on this side of town!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place are specially the lady that does the sandwiches I asked a simple to put the mayo & patte on the side she got loud with me and kept repeating saying it's a " YES OR A NO QUESTION "horrible HORRIBLE attitude they said don't do nothing on the sides bc they don't have the cup containers, to put the side but yet I saw somebody with the cups which was a lie if I could rate this place a negative 0 I WOULD! I definitely do not recommend this place to nobody

#2 Grilled Pork Sandwich

This place is near me and this was my first time going. Quick service. Workers are pretty chill. Totally recommend their banh mi. The bread flakey on the outside and soft on the inside. They filled it up with meat, veggies, butter, and pate so you get your moneys worth. The Thai tea was okay tbh..light, not sweet, not much tea flavor.

Far from me but was worth the trip! I see why others love it here! Staff super friendly and the Banh Mi was stuffed and their house made baguette are the best!

Today I've discovered my new favorite Vietnamese sandwich place. This place has been on my yelp radar for quite some time. I finally got to try them today and I got three different sandwiches to share and some drinks. Walking into the place you can see their fresh bread that looks like to be made in house, so I understand their prices. This place does not skimp on meat or the veggies and condiments. Judging from the pictures they are consistent with that they serve. They cut it in half for you so I got to try all the sandwiches I gotta say they were all so good and the bread was nice and soft and not hard at all. The meat was tender and flavorful with a good amount not making you desire more. The service and ambiance felt like a quaint mom and pop shop, it was nice and quick service.

Best in Houston, they bake their own bread, fresh ingredients and not stingy with meats.

Always on the quest, for the best banh mi in Houston, this place has been mentioned several times as a solid contender. Unfortunately for me, it isn't on my side of town and far from Chinatown. It's all the way near 249 and the Beltway, amongst a small but growing Asian strip center. Price wise, it's a bit more expensive than your Chinatown banh mi, as that is usually the case. I ordered both the grilled pork and cold cut combo, my two favorites. There wasn't a need to ask them to cut it in half, as it already comes that way, which is nice. The banh mi comes in a styrofoam box, which is new to me. While I appreciate the extra protection, the environmental side of me frowns upon it. The first thing I noticed when preparing myself for a bite, was that the bread was not toasted. It was room temperature and without a flakey crust. Bummer. Good bread is essential to a good banh mi. The filling was delicious though. I love how they smear the pate on both the grilled pork and cold cut combo! The veggies and meat were portioned perfectly and fairly tasty. Best banh mi in Houston? Eh... if they could improve the quality of the bread, perhaps so. I want the crispy golden flakes to make a mess as I bite in. I'm not even sure there was any butter on the bread. Unfortunately it was a slight let down. The drinks looked pretty awesome at a great price, but I'm here strictly for the banh mi.

Came here friday just before noon and there were plenty of parking spaces in the plaza. There were also plenty of seatings inside and it was super clean and welcoming inside. I ordered #1 combination and it was so delicious. The sandwich had a generous portion of meat. The bread had a good balance of softness and crunchiness. The pate spread was the star of the show. It totally made the banh mi exceptional. I also ordered the Vietnamese coffee with boba. The boba was decent for a non dedicated boba shop. The Vietnamese coffee was on the sweeter side, which suits me. The wife was super friendly but the husband needed to work on his customer service. Husband initially did not want to give us tap water, but the wife correted him and gave us water.
