I tend to avoid chain shops and restaurants if I can help it. My philosophy is that if you've been in one, you've seen pretty much everything they have to offer.
Baguette du Monde tends to eschew this principle, based in part on the diversity of the franchise holders. I've already reviewed one BdM outlet in Birmingham, but I've had the chance to give this particular one a bit more of a look-in recently, and am fast growing to love it.

To address the point made by the previous reviewer, while the staff are certainly not from Britain originally, I'd hardly call what they speak "broken English". Either they've gotten rid of whoever was rude to that person, or maybe I'm just lucky. They've never gotten my order wrong, and have always been very polite to me. read more
