Omelette grits and a bagel, huge portions !
Renee T.

First time eating here while visiting in Florida. Bagel shops and breakfast have always been my favorite! This place was cute, very understaffed and it was very busy. We had our order taken and received the food and the poor waitress had the entire restaurant. Besides them being understaffed the food was good and a very yummy bagel! Thank you !

My father's favorite place, and it's a good deal for breakfast before 10:30am! Restaurant seems a bit cleaner than before, but keeping the place tidy doesn't seem to be a priority. My recent 9:30am photo as an example. Staff is typically pleasant and personable. Bagels are decent. One of the bagel makers doesn't seem to know how to roll a bagel as they're often uneven and thinner where the dough is joined together. Still not a bad bagel. If you haven't been, check them out for yourself and write a review!

I have been hearing such great things about Bagelworks and I was finally able to make trip to Boca and give it a whirl. We walked in to find a selection baked goods to the right. Muffins are my weakness so I knew then it was something I would be ordering. This place is popular so there was a bit of a wait. We were greeted by a women behind the counter that directed our party of 3 to a table. As soon as we sat our waitress came to take drink orders and in a flash she was back with the nectar from the GOD'S (Of course I'm referring to coffee). The menu's were already on the table so we were already excited about our choices. I order the Blitzes with blueberry sauce for the table, oh let's not forget the muffins! our table order two cranberry muffins (grilled is the best!) , two Challah French Toasts and one Blueberry stack of pancakes. All so delicious! All in all this restaurant was a great experience. Clean, friendly and service was great. I will definitely be returning to try their corn muffins, blueberry muffins and even maybe try one of their cookie selections. I hope this review tempts your tastebuds to give them a try. I've included some pics to give you a push to make the trip!

Carnegie corned beef hash with eggs and grits Also pictured: scoop of legendary tuna salad

Imagine the shock of walking into what you expect to be a normal suburban strip mall chain store bagel shop but all of a sudden you feel like you've been dropped into a busy Manhattan New York deli. Line out the door. Chaos and excitement with the heavy waft of baked onion, fresh pumpernickel and sliced lox in the air. An abnormal number of large crowded tables for an unremarkable Monday morning. Once I figured out there is a take out line and a dine-in line, we were seated almost immediately. With a drip coffee, I ordered a sesame bagel with nova spread (not lox, which is technically much saltier), and Carnegie brand corned beef hash with two hard scrambled eggs, and a cup of grits. All good - tasty and hearty. To top it off, the server hooked me up with a scoop of their self-proclaimed "legendary" tuna salad. Finely mixed with soft buttery consistency and a wonderful tuna flavor (if that's your thing). Bonus points to the server who also got me a bag of ice to keep the leftover tuna from spoiling in my car. Definite must stop for authentic Jewish deli fans. That's all...

I must have ordered the wrong thing today. I got the cinnamon raisin with schmear at 10am and li probably should have toasted it as the bagel is so so hard I can't chew it. Don't sell me garbage.

Best genuine NY style bagels . Always great attentive service and it's very entertaining watching all the employees running in all directions . A little too much eggs in the matzoh Brie though . Enough for 2

Had to knock it down a star this visit for 2 bizarre reasons : They said that my service dog could not be given food OR water underneath the table due to health department regulations. I've been to 100's of restaurants in the 11 years I've had my service dog and never heard of such rules - sounds made up !

Nothing else in that whole Mizner-adjacent area was open yet -- not even the diner down the block, which doesn't start serving until 7. The bagels looked pale, so I asked if they baked onsite. Answer: no, the fresh bagels usually get delivered later in the morning. That immediately told me everything I needed to know and saved me from making a bad decision. The bakery case looked decent enough -- black and white cookies, pastries, etc. -- but since nothing is actually made there, I have to assume most of it was yesterday's inventory. Ended up ordering a Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a Kaiser with a large coffee. Fifteen bucks. Look, I understand East Boca commercial rents are insane, especially anywhere remotely near Mizner. But $15 for a breakfast sandwich and coffee from a place that isn't even baking its own bagels is absolute highway robbery. To be fair, the sandwich itself was solid. The Taylor ham ratio was right, eggs were fresh, and the Kaiser roll held up. But the whole operation feels less like a real bagel shop and more like an early-morning survival outpost for caffeine-deprived Boca commuters.

It transports you to an Italian NY deli. The place is packed, bustling spot and that alone tells you everything you need to know. You know it's good when you walk in and the place is packed. We split the Chicken Cutlet Florentine and it was absolutely incredible. Heads up: the full size is massive, so splitting it is definitely the move and still totally worth it!! The service was super friendly despite how busy it was. I had my eye on the black & white cookie too because what's an authentic Italian deli without one? The sandwich itself was good, made with quality ingredients and solid flavor overall. The bread and fillings were fresh, and you can tell they care about what they're serving. One small detail: I wasn't offered any sauce suggestions, and because of that, my sandwich ended up feeling a bit dry. I think a simple recommendation from the staff would've elevated the experience. Still, it was tasty and reasonably priced. The place is small, but it gets the job done -- very much a neighborhood deli vibe. Overall, a good, no-frills sandwich spot worth trying, especially if you're already in the area.

He had the chicken noodle with a half corned beef. The sandwiches come with a pickle slice and coleslaw. The matzah ball was light and fluffy. The soup base was flavorful. The pastrami was a bit fatty and grisly so I had to deconstruct it. The rye was soft in the center and got a tad soggy from the meat, but had a nice outer edge crust. I think I'd get the corned beef instead in the future. I gave my well marinated pickle to my husband -- I'm a half sour gal myself. But I liked the slightly sweet coleslaw. Laspada had a lit up sign in the window saying they're "open." I seem to recall Next Door Boca giving them decent reviews. I am a native of Philly, hometown of the hoagie. I thought I'd give this place a try. I ran from my car through the rain and tugged on the door....locked. The door hours say open at 11! So much for the lit "open" sign. They have outdoor metal tables and chairs under an awning. I sat at an outdoor table for ten minutes. I looked through the storefront window at a couple employees prepping and I read the wall menu. A guy unlocked the place at 11. I let a young family and several other guys go ahead of me. Guy at the slicing wheel waited on me. I ordered a small Mama Lastrada turkey & salami on wheat. There's about a half dozen employees behind the counter dealing with the assembly line of customers and sandwiches. Guy at the slicing wheel tells me one of the other guys will work on my sandwich. Okay. However, I can't move down the line because there's customers still lined up ahead of me waiting for their food. Slicing wheel guy looks up at me a minute later and asks what he can get for me. I look back at him waiting for him to recognize me from a minute ago when he already had sliced my order. No recognition! I repeated my order to him. Now he remembers me! He again refers me to one of his junior sandwich prep guys. I overheard him telling a busy junior guy, "This is just a small Mama on wheat" or something like that. Still, I can't go down the line because there's guy ahead of me had placed an order for 3 sandwiches. I swear to you that the slicing wheel guy asks me for a THIRD time for my order! By this time, I felt like I was in a Monty Python sketch. I repeated my order. Again, he refers me to a third junior associate (Manny, Moe, and Jack)? Finally, a young associate asked me for toppings. I had noticed two lettuce bins. One bin looked fine. The other looked a little brown. I decided to skip the lettuce rather than ask him to pick from the left hand bin and embarrass them. I also saw a black speck in the onion bin. It probably was nothing but I decided to skip onions just to be safe. I chose tomatoes, Swiss cheese, pickles and sweet peppers. The debit card reader asks if I want to tip. I skipped that. Price was reasonable. Hoagie was okay. The roll was soggy. Philly hoagie shops pride themselves on their rolls. I understand this is Florida, not Philly.
