We ended up finding both at Baked. When we walked in, we saw a few big bakery cases filled with pastries, muffins, and all sorts of baked goods. A little further into the space, we saw a reception stand for their full service, sit-down restaurant. We just wanted a beverage and a bakery treat, so that meant we couldn't sit in the restaurant, but luckily, we grabbed the only table in front of the bakery cases. It was quite a chore narrowing down our order from their many drinks and baked goods, but eventually we decided on a Cold Vanilla Blueberry Latte ($6), a Hot Banana Bread Latte ($5), a Macaroon ($3.75), and an Orange Cranberry Scone ($4). The cold latte and scone were mine and I enjoyed both a lot. The latte had great blueberry flavor and the scone was fantastic. We shared the baked treats, and the macaroon was great too, with plenty of chocolate chips, and a freshly made gooey consistency. We both noted how fresh everything was. The maple toast was sweet, delicious and just what I wanted today. A cute place where you can sit out on the sidewalk or inside the cute little coffee shop you order at the bar. They call out your name for coffee and bring your dish to you. Everybody was nice and welcoming. Now when I walk into a building looking at me you can tell which way I voted and inside this place 99% of the people voted in a different direction. That doesn't bother me and it didn't bother them. They treated me with welcoming spirit and a wonderful meal. All I could think of is I woke up for breakfast but what did I care? Wonderful meal with wonderful people in a great little town.
